Abstract

A sense of love, belonging and pride in the culture of the Nusantara must still be grown in every Indonesian citizen. This is to strengthen their identity as a Nusantara nation so as not to be uprooted from their cultural roots. This is also no exception for the students of the Riyadh Indonesian School (SIR) in Saudi Arabia. The strategies to encourage this sense of love, belonging and pride include art appreciation activities and art creations for the Nusantara's cultural arts to them in a way that is implemented in the overseas community service program from LPPM State University of Malang. To achieve the results of these activities such as workshops and training methods are applied which include the following methods: (1) The presentation with the theme of fostering insight to SIR students (Sekolah Indonesia Riyadh), (2) The Demonstration method for creating Nusantara fine arts, (3) Discussion and evaluation of the results of activities and implementation of activities, (4) Analysis of the results of appreciation activities and creations of Nusantara fine arts that have been carried out by students as program targets. The results of this activity are expected that the students will have an understanding of the importance of loving through the act of appreciation and creation of Nusantara cultural arts as Indonesians. On the other hand, the students have the ability and technical experience in creating, especially in the field of Nusantara fine arts which is achieved through training activities to create fine arts.

Abstract

The focus of this paper explores the values of Pancasila in the local wisdom of the Topo Uma community in Porelea village, Kec. Pipikoro, Kab. Sigi, Central Sulawesi. Specifically the Raego Dance, this is a dance performed by men and women in a circular formation while reciting verses in the old Uma language. The purpose of this paper is to explore whether the assumption that the values of Pancasila in the local wisdom of the Indonesian people are truly rooted and especially internalized by the Topo Uma community. The method used in this research is qualitative, with a phenomenological philosophical approach from the perspective of Armada Riyanto, which is obtained from the book Local Wisdom ~ Pancasila: The Items of Indonesian Philosophy, as well as in his book Relationality and Methodology. This phenomenological philosophical perspective contributes a phenomenological interpretation to describe the experience and appreciation of the Topo Uma community. The findings in this research, the saying that the values of Pancasila are alive and rooted in the local wisdom of the community is not just a slogan. In particular, the first precept, it was permeated and lived in the life of the Topo Uma community even before the entry of Christianity there as a designation for entities that transcend or overcome, namely; Karampue Langi, Karampue Tana or Topehila Ngkarawe Topejadi.

Abstract

The existence of advertising in the mass media is no longer a complementary element to the system of industrialization and capitalism, but has become the most vital instrument. This research will discuss LUX soap advertisements. LUX bath soap ads always feature beautiful women to become product icons. Because it is synonymous with exclusive advertisements and top Indonesian stars. Advertisements in LUX beauty soap products apparently have many hidden meanings. With deconstruction theory, the results show that not with the aroma and freshness of LUX soap, women will be able to actively engage in any profession, whether as young executives, artists, singers, students or activists fighting for women's rights and not with LUX soap. women will become like Maudy Ayunda, a beautiful and active woman. However, because Maudy Ayunda is an artist with many achievements, she became the star of a LUX soap commercial. In addition to her beautiful face, she also carries out various solid activities. In the process of interpreting the LUX soap advertisement, from a deconstruction point of view, there will be a reversal of meaning. The meaning is not final which shows that by using LUX soap a person will become like Maudy Ayunda, that is, appear as a beautiful and active woman. But we can convey another meaning, namely that because Maudy Ayunda is a beautiful artist, intelligent and also active, she was chosen as the star of the LUX soap advertisement.

Abstract

Under the leadership of Sultan Hamengku Buwono (HB) X, the Yogyakarta Sultanate was faced with internal palace conflicts, namely between the royal family itself and the sultan's younger siblings. This was as a result of the words of the king who bestowed the title Mangkubumi on Gusti Kanjeng Ratu (GKR) Pembayun. The pinning of this title indicated that the eldest daughter of the sultan HB X had been officially appointed as the crown princess, who would later continue the reign of the palace if the sultan died. However, the king's words were strongly opposed by the sultan's brothers, because they were considered to be contrary to the traditions of the Yogyakarta Palace. The reason is that so far from Hamengkubuwono I to Hamengku Buwono X, the palace has always been led by a king (son), especially if you remember that the Yogyakarta Palace is part of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom. Judging from its history, the succession to the leadership of the Yogyakarta Palace has not always been smooth. Many conflicts and clashes of interests occurred between various parties. This phenomenon is inseparable from the attitudes and desires of every royal descendant who feels entitled to become the next heir to power. This study aims to focus on discussing the conflicts that occur by analyzing Dahrendorf's power conflict theory, as well as all changes due to the king's words that are against traditional rules (paugeran palace) which have an impact on conflict and its influence on the perspective of the people of Yogyakarta in particular.
