Abstract

Stress is a phenomenon that is often found among adolescents. This is because the ability to regulate emotions in adolescents is still very minimal. This becomes quite concerning if emotions cannot be regulated properly because it can lead to affecting mental health such as depression to suicide. The purpose of this research is to see how the role of the dimensions of differentiation of self can contribute to the use of the Emotional Regulation strategy. This study involved respondents with the characteristics of teenagers aged 18-25 years and domiciled in Greater Jakarta. Researchers used a sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. The results of data collection in the field were 128 respondents but after only 108 respondents were declared valid and involved in the final results of the study. The results of data analysis using the JASP program version 0.15.10, with the multiple linear regression test method. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there was only a significant correlation in Cognitive Reappraisal with the Maintaining Identity dimension. On the other hand, the Expressive Suppression strategy is significantly correlated with all dimensions of the Differentiation of Self. This study has fulfilled all the classic assumption tests and regression tests showing that only the Maintaining Identity dimension can contribute significantly positively to the use of Cognitive Reappraisal strategies. On the other hand, the dimensions of Relational Sensitivity and Emotional Distancing can significantly contribute to the use of Expressive Suppression strategies.

Abstract

This meta-analysis study aims to analyze the effect of student attitudes on student learning discipline with precise values using sample data from previous larger studies. The use of meta-analysis is also to collect various findings from previous studies to see differences in attitudes and discipline in various schools. Data from this study were obtained from searching scientific articles published in national or international journals with a range of 2012-2021. The sample of this study were 9 articles that met the criteria. Journal article database sources from keywords related to student attitudes and discipline. The overall results of this study obtained a final correlation coefficient of 0.848. The sampling error and measurement error in this study is small (4.02%). On the other hand, the results of the study also explain that SMA/SMK students have a better attitude than junior high school students to improve discipline. Where the mean value of SMA/SMK students is 0.75 with an SD value of 0.18 and SMP students is 0.69 with an SD value of 0.21. Future research should pay more attention to how the distribution of countries and other variable factors that affect discipline besides student attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of prosocial behavior as a mediator between the relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in student activist student organizations. The respondents of the study were undergraduate students who participated in the IMM organization at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, as well as a sample of 202 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Research instruments based on the psychological well-being scale of Ryff (1989) (α=741), Prosocial Tendencies Measure-Revised (α=0.792), and the religiosity scale of Stark & Glork (1968) (α=907). Data analysis using mediated path model using JASP 0.17.2.0 software. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being (p = 0.045<0.05), and prosocial behavior could partially mediate the relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in IMM student activists (p = <0.001). This is possible because there are other factors such as internal and external factors that can mediate the relationship.

Abstract

Bulllying adalah tindakan mengintimidasi dan memaksa seorang individu atau kelompok yang lebih lemah untuk melakukan sesuatu di luar kehendak mereka, dengan maksud untuk membahayakan fisik, mental atau emosional melalui pelecehan dan penyerangan. Perilaku bullying sulit dibedakan antara pelaku dan korban bullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyusun skala yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi korban dan pelaku bullying. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa MIN dan SMA sebanyak 213 siswa. Hasil pengembangan alat ukur menunjukkan bahwa skala korban bullying sesuai dengan teori terdapat 4 faktor dan sesuai dengan parameter model fit, sedangkan skala perilaku bullying belum memenuhi 4 faktor hanya terbentuk 2 faktor dan sesuai dengan parameter.

Abstract

Students who want to continue their education at tertiary institutions certainly need a lot of money, many students are vying for scholarships to continue their studies. One of the scholarships that are in great demand is the Bidikmisi scholarship. Being a student who receives a Bidikmisi scholarship certainly has challenges and obstacles in lectures. To overcome these obstacles and demands, students who receive a Bidikmisi scholarship need to have good academic resilience. Optimism is one of the factors in the formation of academic resilience. With an attitude of optimism in students who receive Bidikmisi scholarships, it can make these students carry out their duties and responsibilities in the academic field well. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between optimism and academic resilience in students receiving Bidikmisi scholarships. The method used is a quantitative method with a correlational design. The total participants in this study were 110 students receiving Bidikmisi scholarships throughout Indonesia using the incidental sampling technique. This study used the Academic Resilience Scale (α = 0.869) and the Optimism Scale (α = 0.894). The results of this study indicate a positive relationship between optimism and academic resilience (r=0.366 and sig. = 0.000). That is, the higher the optimism of students, the higher the academic resilience of students receiving bidikmisi scholarships.

Abstract

This study aims to test job involvement and servant leadership influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in employees. Participant in this research was 70 permanent employees in an "X" Automotive company in Yogyakarta who had worked a minimum of one year. The data collection used OCB, job involvement, and servant leadership scales. The research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS program V.21. The result of simultaneous data analysis indicates that job involvement and servant leadership could influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) (F = 406.135, p = 0.000). The partial data analysis shows job involvement (Standardized Coefficients = 0.536, p = 0.000) and servant leadership (Standardized Coefficients = 0.440, p = 0.000), respectively, influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Job involvement and servant leadership simultaneously contribute as much as 92 % to Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Job involvement contributes 51%, and servant leadership contributes 41%. Therefore, it can be concluded that an internal factor, job involvement, and an external factor, servant leadership, influence the formation of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The internal factor of job involvement is more dominant than the external factor of servant leadership in affecting Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).

Abstract

The ederly is the last stage in human life. In this phase, the elderly experience a variety of life processes, one of them is empty nest. Children where leave the house cause them to feel empty. As a result, the elderly experience difficulties in their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gratitude on loneliness in the elderly. Based on the literature review, the researchers determined the research hypothesis that there was a negative relationship between gratitude and loneliness. This research used quantitative methods and used quota sampling as a sampling technique. The subjects in this study were 54 elderly IPPK (Ikatan Purnakaryawan Pendidik dan Kebudayaan) members where live in the sub-district of Jumapolo. Research variables were measured using gratitude scale and empty nest scale. The obtained data were analyzed using simple product moment analysis. The results showed the value of correlation coefficient of = -0,352 p= 0,019 (p<0,01). It proved that there was a significant negative correlation between gratitude and empty nest in the elderly, so hypotheses presented in this study was received. Additional analysis using multiple regression analysis was used to test the influence between aspects of gratitude and empty nest. Based on the calculation results, a significance value of p = 0.69 (not significant) (p> 0.05) was obtained. The results of the multiple regression analysis show that there is no influence between the gratitude aspect and the empty nest.
