Abstract

Increased pressure to control costs and increased competition has prompted health care managers to look for tools to more effectively operate their institution. Managers are increasingly using simulation modeling to understand and to run their own process. A simulation model has been complemented with a series of decision making routines. These routines use a hierarchical approach to organize the various scenarios under which the model may run. This concept will present a simulation model of general in patients flow in a hospital. Simulation was used to analyze the inpatient flow. The main objective of this study was to determine the best way to optimize patient arrival at the hospital in order to reduce the queue of patients.

Abstract

This research has been conducted in the limestone mining areal, Maruni, South Manokwari district, Manokwari regency, West Papua province. The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of the limestone mining to groundwater reserve, using APLIS methode. The variables used in this study were altitude (elevation) above sea level, slope, lithology, infiltration zone, and soil. The result of this research shows that groundwater reserve has decreased. Limestone mining activities will reduce groundwater reserve up to 72%.

Abstract

When the KRS time, student choose subject for their study in one semester. Sometimes student do not know best subject for their KRS because they forget about their academy result. This condotion is not good for KRS process. My reseach is try to handle this problem. My application is present the best subject for student in their KRS. student choose subject for their KRS from first semester to the last semester and student have to repeat (take again) if student do not pass the subject in last semester. this pattern is the key to make an application to present the best subject for their KRS.

Abstract

Offshore operation in oil and gas industry defined as any drilling and production operation located or operating on a body of water, at some distance from the shore relatively to what identified as onshore operation which is generally means in land operation. Offshore drilling and production operation was a relatively new industry compare to the history of oil industry it self. Technologies take major part in development of offshore project, technologies make what impossible become possible in offshore industry. Offshore drilling and production industry can be possible because of technology innovation. However the drive to explore offshore resources come from high demand on oil and gas as well as depleted resources in onshore resources. One suggested that there is strategic interaction among entities in oil industry, as for offshore operation the strategic interaction lead to evolution of offshore technology. The strategic interaction between two relatively same profiles oil related company will depend on the cost of technology. There is tendency in oil and gas industry, if one company successful in using a kind of technology the other companies will follow the pad. Technology takes a big part in offshore drilling and production industry. The strategic interaction in offshore industry related to the cost of technology.

Abstract

There are four species of the Plasmodium parasite that can cause malaria in humans, plasmodium falciparum, plasmodium vivax, plasmodium malariae and plasmodium ovale. In human body, parasite plasmodium live and growth in heart then infected red blood cell and finaly caused malaria diseases. Convensionally, malaria detection is looking human blood using microscope. Conventional malaria detection do not support in analyzing paracite plasmodium because conventional malaria detection do not record the result of visual data. Today malaria detection is develop with analyzing microscopic image blood cell. Microscopic image is an image that recorded from microscope when looking blood cell. The colour of Parasite plasmodium object in microskopic image has different intensity with red blood cell. The different of their colour intensity be the key to detected the parasite plasmodium in microskopic image. In this research, the writer try to make an application to detecting and counting parasite plasmodium in microscopic image using image segmentation technic.

Abstract

In 2005 MPEG-4 is the latest generation in multimedia codec. MPEG-4 was initially discovered in the year 1998 to overcome the obstacles of MPEG-1 and MPEG-2. However MPEG-4 was not officially recognized until the year 2002. The MPEG-4 standard can be applied to many applications because it contains the ability of scene-based presentation, natural and synthetic object coding, power script, java-language support and network transparent integration [1]. MPEG-4 is the extended version from the final one MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 which means also part of the working group of ISO/IEC developed by Motion Picture Experts Group in charge of the development of international standards for compression, decompression, processing and coded representation of moving picture, audio and both of the combination.

Abstract

One of the tunnel excavation method on underground mine Grasberg Block Caving method heading and bench, the size of the tunnel were observed (width, m x height, m) 6.8 x 6 (headings) and 6.8 x 3 (bench). After the excavation is done on a heading followed by the activities of ground support, then do the blasting vertical benching. Blasting activities can give bad impact among others fly rock and an excessive burst of energy that could damage ground support on drift back. Ground support is used namely splitset, wire mesh, threadbar and cable bolt. The geometry of the blasting is applied on the area of Grasberg And Drift 5 and 7 (exhaust) the burden of 1.75 m, spacing 1.40 m, height 3 m, benching depth hole explosive 4 m with a slope of 50 and 150, field 2.1 m, 0.8 m, drilling sub powder factor of 1.14 kg/m3 and stemming is not used. The draft of the proposed blasting, based on prediction method using C.J. Konya and Berta G produces a range of fly rock 2.61 m and energy blast 40,24 MJ.

Abstract

Geolistrik is one of the geophysical method used in shallow exploration. In working principle of the method geolistrik is studying the flow of electricity in the Earth, and how to detect it at the Earth's surface. This research aims to determine the water bearer layer, layout and depth as well as the type of aquifer groundwater Kampung Horna Baru and Kampung Muturi District Manimeri District of West Papua Province Bintuni Straits Bay with the method of resistivity (Resistivity). Resistivity method based on Ohm's law, aims to find out the type of coating the rocks based on the distribution of the resistivity value on each layer. Data measurement results in the field of potential noun and current can be used to calculate the price of a pseudo resistivity. After pseudo resistivity value obtained then incorporated into the software, and data res2dinv spaced electrodes and data datum points for knowing the value of resistivity, the RMSE and depth of each layer with a 2D model are vetically through a process of inverse. Geolistrik research results indicate that the aquifer groundwater Kampung Horna Baru and Kampung Muturi District Manimeri district of Bay of Bintuni Straits, has a varied range of resistivity of 0.183 meters% uFFFD Ohm. 3714 Ohm. ft. On tracks 2, 3, 5 and 6 in Kampung Horna Baru at a depth of 4.3% uFFFD 27.1 m. Whereas in Kampung Muturi on tracks 8 and 9 with a depth of 13.1-27.1 m.

Abstract

In order to meet the demand of gravel materials needed for the project of Warmare-Prafi EIB 17 road construction, it was important for Brantas Abipraya company, as the gravel supplier and construction operator, to initially apply a risk analysis. Factors such as operational costs and level of profitability, which was calculated based on the cash flows during the project term, were critically considered in the analysis. Moreover, considering changes of those factors above, financial analysis was also applied through Net Present Value (NPV) method. In the mining activity, excavators were used for both digging and loading. Dump trucks were used in the process of hauling the materials from front locations to crashing plant, and wheel loaders were used in the loading process in the crashing location. According to the project calculation, the volume of gravel material needed for the whole activities during the project was approximately 369,060 m3, which was estimated dealing with road length of 56.736 Km. Due to the fact that the company was acted as the supplier as well as the construction operator, there was no marketing activities on gravel produced. Financing factor or capital which was received by the company was resulted from the value of the project. The minimum interest rate was about 12% per annum. The research concluded that this gravel mining activity was more influenced by changes in profit level than changes in the level of operational costs.
