<![CDATA[Library has a strategic role as a lifelong education whose can optimizing the services for all of people to developing personal potentional. The library also has a role as a leading sector to creating a literate society. Literate society in one side and an economic development in another side are two related variables. The regional government of Pulang Pisau Regency has colaborate with the National Library of Indonesia to reinforce the library by transforming library services based on social inclusion. Social inclusion based library are a library transformation that serves the information needs of all of the visitors. Social inclusion based library are also committed to meet the information needs of people with the information that can improve cognitive abilities and stimulating welfare improvement with library resources. This article discusses the transformation made by Pulau pisang regency public library to realize library services based on social inclusion.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose. The purpose of this research is to find out the usability of Library and Archive Department of Bengkulu Province website. Method. The research used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 visitors of Library and Archive Department. Accidental sampling was used as the sampling technique. The data was then analyzed and presented in tabular form. Results and discussion. The results of this research showed that the website usability on the component of convenience obtained an average score of 3.9 (three point nine) points and is categorized ‘very good’, the component of efficiency obtained an average score of 3.6 (three point six) points and is categorized ‘good’, the component of memorability obtained an average score of 3.7 (three point seven) points and is categorized ‘good’, the component of error obtained an average score of 2.5 (two point five) points and is categorized ‘bad’, and the component of satisfaction obtained an average of 3.7 (three point seven) points and is categorized ‘good’. Based on the recapitulation, the average value for all components obtained 3.6 (three point six) points, which is categorized ‘good’. Therefore, the usability of Library and Archive Department of Bengkulu Province website based on user’s perception is good, which means the website is easy to use by users, efficient for finding information, easy to remember, and its link, layout menu and facilities have met the user’s satisfaction.points]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Library as a lifelong learning place for the community has an important role in improving the quality of people's lives.Purpose. This study discusses how the librarian's response to the library program based on social inclusion and three things as a basic of a special library to become a social inclusion-based library. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain how the Ministry of Agriculture's library can play a role in national development programs related to community empowerment through social inclusion-based library.Method. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected by observation and interviews.Results and discussions. The results of the research is that PUSTAKA established Taman Baca Pustaka as a social inclusion-based library as a model proposed by Faulkner, that PUSTAKA as a special library meets the minimum requirements for the development of social inclusion-based library namely resources, capacity, and opportunities. Besides, PUSTAKA also organizes programs that actively involve the community as a response and support for social inclusion-based library policies for improving the quality and welfare of the community.]]>

<![CDATA[The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (National Library of Indonesia) publishes the Indonesian National Bibliography (BNI), which functions as a national bibliographic control. The bibliographic control is carried out by librarians at the provincial, district, and city levels. Therefore, understanding librarians are needed as an evaluation of BNI. Data collection through a literature review and a survey with two types of questions that consist of 30 multiple choices used to see the understanding of librarians, and 9 (nine) declarative survey questions by answering ‘yes’ and ‘no’ used to determine the situation of the library where respondents work with the use of BNI. From 64 respondents, the results of this study indicate that librarians’ understanding of BNI is fairly low with questions that can be answered by respondents ranging from 20%-78%, also 14 of 64 respondents get a range of values of 66% -80%. The findings also did not indicate the relationship between the librarians’ understanding of BNI and respondent demographics such as level of education, length of working in the library, and long working in the current unit.]]>

<![CDATA[The motives for the use of media are different, one of the factors is gender. This study aims to see the motives for using printed rare books in the National Library of Indonesia and whether there is a different motive for using printed rare books between men and women. The population of this research is active e-mail users, registered members of the National Library of Indonesia, and who have read printed rare books. This type of research is quantitative using the Uses and Gratification method. The sample size is 75 respondents. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling. Based on the results of the analysis, there are 4 motives for using printed rare books, namely Information Motive, Personal Identity Motive, Integrity Motive and Social Interaction, and Entertainment Motive. The total results show that the most dominant motive for using rare books printed in the National Library of Indonesia is information on motives, with a proportion of 87% and 83% to satisfy their curiosity and to learn about events and environmental conditions after reading printed rare books. The lowest motive is the personal identity motive with a proportion of 70% and 67% to adapt the behavior and behavior values obtained when reading rare books printed in everyday life and ready to see information about events or environmental conditions in the past, latest or rare. The results of hypothesis testing show that H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted with a sig 0.05, namely 0.869 0.05, so it can be said that there is no difference in motives for using rare books in the National Library of Indonesia between men and women.]]>

<![CDATA[Purpose. This paper aims to provide an explanation of the transformation of the role of LIPI librarians before and after reorganization.Method. The study was conducted descriptively by observing and studying literature.Results and discussion. The results of the study show that prior to the reorganization, the roles of librarian are carrying out information retrieval activities related to research proposals submitted, making tracking publications to managing research results into the repository system as equal partners with LIPI researchers. In addition, they process library materials, do reference services, circulation, searching, and information packaging. After transformation, the roles of librarian are managing more research data in the repository system. The National Scientific Repository (RIN) developed by PDDI demands librarian competence to support the RIN system. Librarian competence is required to save researchers’ research data in the National Scientific Repository (RIN). The Law no. 11 of 2019 concerning the National System of Science and Technology (Sisnas Iptek) is expected to be able to regulate and become a guideline on the national research data repository system.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. In the industrial revolution 4.0 libraries begin to transform their conventional services into digital libraries. The Department of Economics and Business of SV UGM is trying to add digital library services based on applications from Enam Kubuku Indonesia Company. Purpose. The research was conducted to find out the implementation of Digilib (Digital Library) with Kubuku application and its future implementation at The Department of Economics and Business of SV UGM. Method. The research used literature study method which is a stage of research carried out to search for information, theories, methods, and concepts in accordance with the problem. The information obtained is then used as a reference material to resolve problems at the research location. Literature study in this research was carried out by digging up information and references from books, online media, discussions and interviews with stakeholders, library users, and other diligib staff from Digilib UNY, ISI Yogyakarta, and I-Jogja. Results and discussion. This research resulted in an implementation of digilib using the application from Kubuku, and its future obtains very positive responses from users and leaders along with the staff. The results also produced several categories of digital libraries: bookless digilib, semi-mobile digilib, and mobile digilib. This research is expected to provide an overview of the development of digital library in the Department of Economics and Business of SV UGM and become an example for other libraries that have not yet implemented digital library.]]>

<![CDATA[Preliminary. This study aims to determine and measure the librarians' perceptions of the leadership style of the transformational leadership through four aspects of its characteristics, consisting of; (1) Idealized Influence; (2) Inspirational Motivation; (3) Intellectual Stimulation; and (4) Individual Consideration at Syiah Kuala University Library. Research methods. This research is quantitative descriptive, because the data obtained are in the form of descriptive statistics and percentages. The method used in this research is survey. Data collection techniques using instruments by distributing questionnaires made using a Likert scale, so that researchers can measure perceptions in this study. The instrument numbered 27 questionnaires with 20 questions, consisting of four aspects of the transformational leadership style. Results and Discussion. The results of the questionnaire from the four aspects obtained were; (1) The idealized influence is categorized as very good, with a percentage of 90.37%. This aspect is the aspect that gets the highest score from other aspects; (2) Inspirational motivation is also categorized as very good, with a percentage of 87.11%; (3) Intellectual stimulation obtained results in the good category, with a percentage of 84.30% .; (4) Individual Consideration gets the lowest score from the three other aspects, but it is still in good category, with a percentage of 82.37%.Conclusion. Librarians' perceptions of the transformational leadership style of the leaders of Syiah Kuala University Library from the four aspects obtained a total score of 2,323 from a maximum score of 2,700 with a percentage of 86.04% (very good).]]>

<![CDATA[Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) merupakan pemanfaatan bukti ilmiah berdasarkan penelitian klinis mutakhir yang sahih dalam tatalaksana proses penyembuhan penyakit. Salah satu syarat utama untuk memfasilitasi pengambilan keputusan klinik yang evidence-based, adalah dengan menyediakan bukti-bukti ilmiah yang relevan. Tipe kajian diutamakan yang berupa hasil review sistematik, meta-analisis, dan randomised controlled trial (RCT). Salah satu dari lima langkah dalam evidence based medicine yaitu yaitu menelusur bukti dari sumber database hasil penelitian yang memuat bukti-bukti ilmiah. PubMed Clinical Queries dan The Cochrane Library merupakan database berisi hasil riset sekunder (systematic-review/meta-analysis) yang mensintesis hasil riset primer. Kolaborasi pustakawan dalam pengambilan keputusan klinis yaitu dengan memberikan pelatihan atau menelusur artikel hasil penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam pengambilan klinis dari database yang memuat bukti ilmiah.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Finding ways to encourage student to learn is an effective way for social change. One institution that encourages students to enjoy learning independently is library. Purpose. This study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of library visit and student’s learning outcome. The hypothesis of this scientific article is that there is a significant influence between the intensity of visiting school library and the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at State Elementary School 33 Buton in 2019/2020 Academic Year. Method. This type of research is quantitative research using three data collection techniques: test, questionnaire, and documentation. Results. The results of this study is data processing of two variables, the dependent variable, which is the intensity of library visit, and the independent variable, which is the student learning outcomes. This article also presents the results of linearity and hypothesis testing.]]>
