Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student activity and the value or learning outcomes in social studies subjects at SMPI Bani Hasyim Singosari obtained when the teacher implements the Index Card Match strategy. The method used by researchers is classroom action research, whose research consists of 2 cycles, and four stages including planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. According to the pre-cycle percentage of student activity in social studies subjects only 45% of students are active in participating in the learning process with a score that is less than KKM. After carrying out the first cycle, obtained an increase in the percentage to 68% and the average learning outcomes obtained by students are 75 in accordance with KKM standards. Then the second cycle is carried out to maximize learning outcomes in social studies subjects. This cycle began a significant increase in the percentage of student activity to 90% and students were able to reach an average value of 85, which on average has exceeded the KKM standard. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the Index Card Match can be used sustainably in order to increase the activity and student learning outcomes.Keywords: learning strategies; active learning; educational goals

Abstract

Rejecting from the negative assumption of the Islam conservatif toward slametan. It necessary to bring back positive value that contain in slametan tradition. Yasinan is identified with the slametan in Trenggalek that contain social-religious value as society unifier. Yasinan tradition is expected become an alternative social interaction to create peaceful society and full of harmony. Yasinan are also a moment for sharing and became unique Islam tradition until now. The purpose of this research is reveal social religion value that contain in yasinan. This study use a qualitative method with a phenomenology approach. There are two findings: firstly, as religious tradition which teach peace between members of the community and also as a means of giving alms. Secondly, as Islamic spirit booster for community when they yasinan is contain activities read the verses of Qur’an, tahlil and istighosah.Keywords: slametan; yasinan; social-religious values

Abstract

This study aims to determine risks to public health in the Talangagung Landfill. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study is the people who live and work in TPA Talangagung, Malang Regency. The instrument used in this study used a questionnaire that was distributed to the community around the landfill site. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis by collecting data obtained from the community, and then describes the results of the data collected as is by using the percentage formula. From the analysis of the questionnaire data there are 40% of respiratory disorders, 20% of digestive disorders and 10% of skin disorders. TPA Talangagung Malang Regency in its implementation is in accordance with procedures set by the government in accordance with the Law, so that the impact caused by the Talanggung TPA has no odor and does not cause environmental damage. Keywords: health; landfills

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how the role of structured tasks to improve learning outcomes in geography. This research uses the literature study method. The approach is carried out with content analysis. The stages of this research are carried out by collected from various kinds of literature, analyzed, assessed, and finally drawn conclusions. The research findings conclude that structured assignments play a very positive role or impact in improving geography learning outcomes, and can stimulate students' motivation to learn. In addition, several other findings also revealed that in general structured tasks have a role in improving student learning outcomes and achievements, even in different levels and types of subjects.Keywords: role; structured task; learning outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review the relevance of the Wage Keramat to Emile Durkheim's theory of community unity and Totemism. This specific research is important to do, because there are many different types of earth alms rituals in Indonesia with their respective characteristics. Therefore, the act of generalizing the whole tradition with Totemism theory is not appropriate. This research used qualitative methods and literature studies. Observations were made right at the celebration of the Wage Keramat in Sugihwaras Village, Ngancar District in order to obtain accurate data related to the description of the Wage Keramat. The literature study is sought in order to explore the theoretical framework used. The results of this study explain that, technically, the Wage Keramat is almost the same implementation as Earth Alms in general. The difference lies in the purpose of the Wage Keramat, which is as a communal anticipatory measure for the realization of a bad oath from the legendary figure of the local community. But it cannot be denied, a form of gratitude for all of the sustenance that the earth has provided is also a destination. The conclusion is Emile Durkheim's Sociology theory indeed found many matches in the phenomenon of the Wage Keramat, both in the sacred and profane categories, totemism, and taboo.  Keywords: wage keramat; tradition; theory emile durkheim

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and understand something behind a little-known social phenomenon. The expected advantage of using qualitative research methods is to provide complex details about phenomena that are difficult to express by quantitative methods. Important concepts of public understanding about; Knowledge, attitudes and actions will be more easily revealed with this method. The process of social construction, the core of pesantren establishment is in order to realize the human society and pious people to Allah SWT, for the realization of the ideals of the Indonesian nation into Baldatun Thoiyibatun Warabbun Ghofur or “gemah ripah loh jinawe toto tentrem kerto raharjo”. Approach in order to menyantrikan surrounding communities, then made activities that accommodate the needs and culture of society. The reality of cultural accommodation made by PPAI Ketapang is poured in various activities which include: First, art culture, Both system of knowledge and skill. The third is the organizational system. Fourth, is the livelihood system. Fifth, the system of technology and the sixth, is the religious system.Keywords: pesantren; social construction; cultural accommodation
