Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how the role of structured tasks to improve learning outcomes in geography. This research uses the literature study method. The approach is carried out with content analysis. The stages of this research are carried out by collected from various kinds of literature, analyzed, assessed, and finally drawn conclusions. The research findings conclude that structured assignments play a very positive role or impact in improving geography learning outcomes, and can stimulate students' motivation to learn. In addition, several other findings also revealed that in general structured tasks have a role in improving student learning outcomes and achievements, even in different levels and types of subjects.Keywords: role; structured task; learning outcomes

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa dan membuka pemahaman seputar diskursus Halal Tourism serta menakar peluang atau prospek pariwisata syariah di era revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Pendekatan dilakukan dengan analisis Content. Tahapan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data dari berbagai literatur, dianalisis, dinilai, kemudian ditarik kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian yaitu pariwisata syari’ah (halal tourism) di Indonesia memiliki prospek yang baik sebagai bagian dari industri pariwisata nasional dalam menghadapi tantangan di era industri 4.0. Hal ini karena sebagai negara dengan jumlah muslim terbesar di dunia, kondisi geografis yang sangat strategis, serta biodiversitas yang tinggi menjadikan Indonesia memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai negara tujuan wisata. Selain itu, pariwisata syari’ah (halal tourism) juga memiliki kontribusi dalam peningkatan pendapatan pemerintah, masyarakat, serta berdampak baik bagi lingkungan sekitar. Kata Kunci: Prospek; Pariwisata Syariah; Revolusi Industri 4.0AbstractThe purpose of this research is to analyze and open up an understanding of the Halal Tourism discourse and measure the opportunities or prospects for Halal tourism in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution. This research uses literature study method. The approach is carried out with Content analysis. The stages of this research were carried out by collecting data from various literatures, analyzing, assessing, then drawing conclusions. The research findings show that halal tourism in Indonesia has good prospects as part of the national tourism industry in facing challenges in the industrial era 4.0. This is because as a country with the largest number of Muslims in the world, the strategic geographical conditions, as well as high biodiversity make Indonesia has great potential as a tourist destination. In addition, halal tourism also has a contribution to increase government and community income, and has a good impact on the surrounding environment. Keywords: Prospects; Halal Tourism; The Industrial Revolution 4.0

Abstract

Gunung Patuha terletak di Jawa Barat danmemiliki kondisi tektonik yang dipengaruhi oleh aktivitassubduksi di bagian selatan Pulau Jawa. Aktivitas vulkanikyang menghasilkan berbagai jenis batuan, termasuk tuf,lapili, breksi vulkanik, skoria, dan aglomerat. Penelitianini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik erupsiGunung Patuha berdasarkan analisis stratigrafi batuandi Kawah Putih. Metode yang digunakan adalah metodedeskriptif kualitatif, dengan data primer diperoleh melaluiobservasi lapangan dan wawancara, serta data sekunder daristudi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasanini mencerminkan dinamika vulkanisme yang kompleks,dengan berbagai fase erupsi, dari eksplosif hingga efusif.Batuan tuf dan lapili mengindikasikan erupsi eksplosifyang berulang, sementara keberadaan skoria dan aglomeratmencerminkan aktivitas efusif dengan pelepasan gas yangsignifikan. Namun, erupsi Gunung Patuha belum mencapaiintensitas erupsi Plinian, sebagaimana ditunjukkan olehtidak adanya deposit pumis yang signifikan dan distribusimaterial yang cenderung lokal. Penelitian ini diharapkandapat memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang prosesvulkanisme Gunung Patuha. Temuan ini juga diharapkandapat berkontribusi pada upaya mitigasi bencana vulkanikdi kawasan tersebut. Kata kunci: Gunung Patuha, stratigrafi, vulkanisme, erupsi.   Abstract Mount Patuha is located in West Java and hastectonic conditions influenced by subduction activity in thesouthern part of Java Island. Volcanic activity produced avariety of rock types, including tuff, lapilli, volcanic breccia,scoria, and agglomerate. This research aims to identify theeruption characteristics of Mount Patuha based on theanalysis of rock stratigraphy in Kawah Putih. The methodused is a descriptive qualitative method, with primary dataobtained through field observations and interviews, andsecondary data from literature studies. The results showedthat the area reflects complex volcanism dynamics, withvarious eruption phases, from explosive to effusive. Tuff andlapilli rocks indicate repeated explosive eruptions, whilethe presence of scoria and agglomerate reflects effusiveactivity with significant gas release. However, the eruptionof Mount Patuha has not reached the intensity of a Plinianeruption, as indicated by the absence of significant pumicedeposits and the localized distribution of materials. Thisresearch is expected to provide an in-depth understandingof the volcanism process of Mount Patuha. The findings arealso expected to contribute to volcanic disaster mitigationefforts in the region. Keywords: Mount Patuha, stratigraphy, volcanism,eruption.

Abstract

This research explores the gender shifts occurring in Oeseli, a remote village in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. In this village, women are the primary breadwinners due to socio-geographical conditions. Through a socio-geographic lens, this research explores how semi-arid climate and geographical boundaries of Sawu Sea affects an economy and leads to shifting gender roles. Through in-depth interviews and observations, the research highlights women's dual role as caregivers and breadwinners, which is exacerbated by men's migration in seeking greater economic opportunities outside the village. Despite their significant contributions to the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors, women in Oeseli face various constraints, including local resource, skill, and infrastructure limitations that hinder their full economic potential. Conceptually, this research reveals how semi-arid environmental pressures drive male labor migration and reconstruct gender roles, particularly for rural areas with limited natural resources such as Oeseli. It provides a new socio-geographical explanation of how ecological constraints lead to gender shifts. This qualitative case study research emphasizes an imperative for interventions that empower women, address gender inequalities, and foster sustainable development.  By bridging the traditional cultural practices with the evolving socio-economic realities, this research advocates for a more equitable distribution of labor and resources. In the end, the research aims to increase community resilience and achieve gender equality in Oeseli and similar contexts.

Abstract

Conventional learning models have proven to be less than optimal, so a solution is needed using the Experiential Learning model with the outdoor study method. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the outdoor study-based Experiential Learning model on the collaboration abilities of high school geography students. This type of research is quantitative research using the Quasi Experiment method and uses the Post Test Only Control Group Design. This study takes and uses data to measure students' collaboration abilities by giving a collaboration questionnaire. The results of the study obtained an average score in the control class of 41 and an average score in the experimental class of 86 with the highest indicator of cooperation. This is influenced by good coordination from students. The data is strengthened by the results of the Independent Simple T-test using the collaboration ability value with a Sig. (2-Tailed) result of 0.000.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar belakang Penelitian ini ialah kurangnya motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Dan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa tersebut perlu adanya dorongan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick. Penelitian ini mempunya tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Talking Stick serta prosentasenya terhadap motivasi siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Indonesia kelas XI. Dan jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian observasi dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Adapun objek  dalam Penelitian ini adalah siswa Kelas XI. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Talking Stick serta prosentasenya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Indonesia kelas XI di MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejengan Probolinggo.Kata Kunci: Model Talking Stick, Sejarah Indonesia, Motivasi Belajar. AbstractThe background of this research is the lack of student motivation in learning. And to increase the motivation of these students, there needs to be encouragement by using the Talking Stick learning model. This study has a purpose to determine the effect of the Talking Stick learning model and its percentage on student motivation in the Indonesian History subject class XI. And this type of research uses observation research using quantitative methods. The objects in this study were students of Class XI. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Talking Stick learning model and its percentage on students' learning motivation in the Indonesian History subject class XI at MA Sunan Ampel Kamalkuning Krejengan Probolinggo.Keywords: Talking Stick Learning Model, Indonesian History, Motivation in Learning.

Abstract

  This community service activity was carried out at PIGGI (Ijen Geopark Geology Information Center), Banyuwangi Regency, as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the field of community service. The activity aims to enhance the capacity of managers and students in understanding and applying the concepts of geotourism and geological conservation as an effort to support the sustainable management of the geopark area. The background of the activity stems from the partner's need to strengthen the educational and interpretative aspects in delivering geological information to the public, as well as to expand academic networks with universities. The implementation method uses a participatory education approach, involving lecturers and students as facilitators in socialization activities, interactive discussions, group reflections, and simulations of delivering geotourism information to visitors. The activities were carried out over two days and included the delivery of thematic material on social geography, tourism geography, and geology, linked to the geosite potential in the Ijen area. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' understanding and awareness of the importance of geological heritage preservation, strengthened geotourism interpretation skills, and the establishment of closer academic collaboration between the Geography Education Study Program of FKIP Universitas Jember and the Ijen Geopark management. This activity also directly contributes to achieving the Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (KPI), particularly in terms of student learning experiences outside the campus and faculty collaboration with community partners. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan selama dua hari dan mencakup penyampaian materi tematik tentang geografi sosial, geografi pariwisata, dan geologi yang dikaitkan dengan potensi geosite di kawasan Ijen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran peserta terhadap pentingnya pelestarian warisan geologi, penguatan kemampuan interpretasi geowisata, serta terjalinnya kerja sama akademik yang lebih erat antara Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Universitas Jember dan pengelola Geopark Ijen. Kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi langsung terhadap pencapaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam aspek pengalaman belajar mahasiswa di luar kampus dan kolaborasi dosen dengan mitra masyarakat.
