Jurnal Ilmiah Syi’ar, published by Da’wah Faculty of Bengkulu State Islamic Institut since 2007. The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various focuses of communication, conseling, development and empowerment of community, management, and many more (the central focus of Islamic sciences). In the beginning the journal only served as a scholarly forum for the lecturers and professors at internal of the Institute. However, due to the later development with a broader readership, the journal has successfully invited scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute.

Abstract

Reality show is a television program that presents real events in everyday life. With the number of reality shows that appear on TV favored by the public, for example Uya is Kuya, still another world, termehek-mehek, So the more loss of ideas and justify any means to attach importance to the rating. Reality show displays a fake reality to dredge advertising alias profit. The reality show that appears on TV is not only concerned with rating, but also can incorporate moral values. The reality show program, “Big Brother” shows the daily activities of the participants and of course uses surveillance cameras. Big Brother is included in a reality show that is full of engineering and does not fit reality because it has a storyline that has been conceptualized by TV stations. The real thing of the event is the games or games and the unreal is the story of the story of the participants. The phrases that are often pronounced in this event are the participants or the so-called housemates. Although some viewers really like the Big Brother show, but what is displayed does not match the reality that exists. Although by using fact frills, but still there are still being engineered by the event editor. We should be wise to see an event program. Do not just accept it, but we must also be critical in responding.

Abstract

Reason according to M. Quraish Shihab sense is the thinking power contained in man and is a manipation of the human soul. Reason is not understood materially but reason is understood in the abstract so that sense is interpreted a thinking power contained in the human soul, with this power man is able to gain knowledge and be able to distinguish between good and evil. Revelation according to M. Quraish Shihab, is the delivery of God’s Word to His chosen people to be passed on to human beings to be the guidance of life. God’s revelation contains issues of aqidah, law, morals, and history. Furthermore, M. Quraish Shihab reveals that human reason is very limited in understanding the content of Allah’s revelation, because in Allah’s revelation there are things unseen like doomsday problems, death and so forth. The function of revelation provides information to the sense that God is not only reachable by reason but also heart.

Abstract

Elderly is the last period of the stage of human development, not everyone is able to pass this period. The characteristics of this stage are unique and distinctive, requiring counseling approaches and techniques relevant to their specific circumstances. In the elderly period many changes occur, ranging from changes in physical conditions are decreased, the function of organs that are not as strong as it used to be, as well as reduced or limited energy to perform activities that are favored. This of course raises its own problems in the elderly. In addition, the reduced functioning condition of the sense of hearing and vision must be one of the obstacles in social interaction, which is the main need for the elderly, the diminishing of friends of the same age, the departure of spouses and children who are independent and separate living make the elderly feel lonely. With the complexity of characteristics that occur in the elderly period, the need for services in the form of psychological and counseling, using approaches relevant to the conditions of uniqueness of the elderly, in this case there are three approaches used in conducting counseling process of the elderly, namely; 1) Classical Psychoanalystic Approach, used in exploratory phase of client problem, 2) Reality approach used in coaching stage or client problem solving and 3) Logoteraphy (Religius) Approach used in coaching stage or client problem solving.

Abstract

Life in pairs is a fitrah that is bestowed by the divine, and it is necessary to appreciate therefore in search of human companion and especially for Muslims it is good to use ethics. Ethics in seeking life companion is very important, so worth worship, so that household become sakinah, mawaddah and rohmah.

Abstract

The existence of da’wah in this contemporary era is faced with the complexity of problems and challenges. This is inseparable from the progressive dynamics of society and the shift of orientation, from agrarian society with simplicity and simplicity into an individualized society based on information technology. Given the activity of da’wah is inseparable from the community, then its development must be directly proportional to the development of society. During this da’wah activities are still left behind with the development and changes in society, especially in the utilization of mass media in da’wah. This background that underlies the author in reconstructing the activities of Islamic da’wah through mass media, so that it can be used as a theoretical-normative basis to be practical-applicative.

Abstract

Man is God’s most perfect creature on earth. Humans from the beginning exist in a togetherness, he is always in touch with other humans in the container togetherness, friendship, work environment, harmonious citizens and neighborhood, and other forms of social relations. And as a participant togetherness it is certain he gets the influence of his environment, but on the contrary he can influence with his behavior and give a style to the surrounding environment. Humans are equipped among others cipta, rasa, karsa, norm, ideals and conscience as a characteristic of humanity, to him also revealed religion in addition to any relationship with each other, there is also a relationship with the creator. In the Qur’an, humans are repeatedly raised in degree because of the actualization of their souls positively, on the contrary, humans are also degraded for the negative soul actualization. They are crowned far above the heavenly realms, the earth and even the angels, but at the same time, they can be no more significant than the animal creatures. Humans are valued as creatures capable of conquering nature, but they can also degenerate into “the lowest of all low” as well because of their behavior. Therefore, in this condition the emergence of the Qur’an as a source of behavior of human life in carrying out its duties.

Abstract

Siyâq is a sequence and coherence of sentences or situations of speech that can indicate or clarify the speaker’s intent. Thus, Siyaq is divided into two, namely first, Siyaq Lughawi / Maqaliy, the linguistic indicators used to establish the meaning of the text. Secondly, Siyaq Ghairu Lughawiy, an indicator that is not based on language, but based on many indicators in order to establish the true intent. In connection with the verses of the Qur’an, some experts suggest three kinds of Siyaq, namely: First, relating to one sura. In this section, Siyaq makes a surah connected from the beginning of the chapter to the end. Second, it deals with fragments of speech in one sura. Thirdly, Siyaq verse. There are many indicators that can be used to define Siyaq, of which the most important, that is, the history of the shohih which reaches his beloved circle to the Messenger of Allah, or known friends in the field of the Qur’an, language that is used in the Qur’an, or reason and reality, and the atmosphere of “kebatinan” verse. So, Siyaq is considered very urgent because the scholars agree to make it as one of the important factors in determining meaning. Furthermore, the function of siyaq as an explanatory meaning is six that is to clarify the things that are still global, set one meaning among the various possible meanings, reinforce the obvious, limit the scope of the general sentence (takhsis al’am), limit the absolute sentence, and to diversify meanings.

Abstract

Humans are perfect creatures that are unique, active, creative, dynamic, have ideology, breed, have lust, will and can act. In addition, human beings are creatures who think, have personality, have awareness and responsibility. Humans are social beings who can not live alone, in fulfilling the needs of human life requires and interact with other humans. Communication between people always takes place in a value-packed atmosphere, such as ideology, tradition, political orientation, world view (word view) and even religion. Thus the communication process is always influenced by the factors of cultural situation adopted by society, the patterns of social relationships that grow and develop in a society, and the physical environment in which the communication process takes place. The essence of humanist communication is humanizing human beings, namely the effort to give attention, appreciation, respect, love values, affection, and empathy in communicating.

Abstract

The issue of science and religion is a study that never hasbis to be studied and discussed. Both have uniqueness and can be continuously in accordance with the development of the times and science. In its development between science and religion there is a difference among scientists puts the relationship between science and religion, both those who are conflicted and who view the effort to integrate them. In this study can be drawn red thread between the two in an effort mendialogkannya, that religion can be used as a guide and guide for scientists, so that what is produced can work for the welfare of both the world and the hereafter. This is in line with the same scientific and religious objectives for human well-being, so that science and religion are something that can not be separated from one another. Because religion is not interpreted solely by a normative theological approach, it requires an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach, so that both have the power to support and mutilate.
