Abstract

The rapid adoption of digital technology has revolutionized various industries, including the financial services sector, through the emergence of financial technology (Fintech). In Indonesia, Fintech regulations, such as Indonesian bank (Bank Indonesia-BI) regulations no. 18/40/PBI/2016 has played a crucial role in governing payment systems. This research examines the impact of the Fintech platform's effectiveness on individuals' interest in making infaq and sadaqah payments. A survey method was employed, utilizing a sample size of 128 individuals residing in the Solo Raya area, and conducted via Google form. The study results indicate that the Fintech platform's effectiveness significantly influences individuals' interest in making infaq or sadaqah payments. This can be attributed to the trust people place in Fintech platforms, which ensures data confidentiality and minimizes the risk of fraud. Consequently, individuals are more inclined to engage in infaq and sadaqah payments, recognizing Fintech platforms' secure and reliable nature. This research highlights the positive relationship between Fintech platform effectiveness and individuals' interest in infaq and sadaqah payments, shedding light on the potential for Fintech to drive the development of the Islamic economy further.

Abstract

People are starting to change their habits, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, which made them prefer shopping online. Many online shopping platforms can be used by consumers, including social media as well as e-commerce or the social commerce term TikTok Shop. The TikTok application has great potential in the e-commerce sector, including the marketing industry and online shopping media in the form of short videos. On the other hand, TikTok can provide a positive value to the brand image of a product. If the product has a positive brand image, the impact will be that people will trust and know the product well. Besides the brand image, consumer purchase intention is also based on trust. The problem is consumer trust in TikTok as a social media-based online shopping tool is still being debated. This study aims to prove the effect of brand image mediated by customer trust on purchase intention in the social commerce TikTok Shop. This research method is quantitative, and the data used is primary data from an online survey via LimeSurvey. The total number of respondents is 333 people who are spread throughout Indonesia. Next, the collected data was analyzed by SEM on SmartPLS. The results of the study show that brand image has a significant effect on customer trust and purchase intention.

Abstract

Balance in the form of linkages between socioeconomic aspects of a region is the key to economic stability. This economic stability is essential to achieve community welfare, so existing interventions must be considered considering that  a slight change in one aspect will affect the economic balance. With the achievement of community welfare, the economic development of a region can be said to be good, which also has implications for handling existing socioeconomic problems. However, the misalignment of education level, gender, internet access, and marital status of each district/city area triggers differences in income levels. Therefore, through this study, it is expected to be able to answer whether factors such as education level, gender, internet access, and marital status are factors that influence the magnitude of income levels, especially in DIY Provinces. By using IFLS-5 data processed through an estimat ion method using logistic regression, test results were obtained that gender and internet access factors significantly affected the amount of people's income. In contrast, the level of education and marital status did not significantly affect the income of people in DIY Province

Abstract

Poverty is seen as a condition where basic rights are not fulfilled as a mandatory condition for carrying out a dignified life for the community. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and obtaining empirical evidence of how the provincial minimum wage (Upah Minimum Provinsi-UMP), Real Per Capita GRDP, and the open unemployment rate (Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka-TPT) can affect the number of poverty-stricken people in Indonesia in 2020. The method used in this research is quantitative, namely the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) technique, with secondary data obtained from the official website source of the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), which is processed using EViews 12 software.  The final results of the research showed that partially the UMP and Real Per Capita GRDP variables have a significant effect on the number of poverty-stricken people in Indonesia in 2020, while TPT has no significant effect. However, when all three variables were tested simultaneously, the results showed that there was a significant effect on the number of poverty-stricken people in Indonesia in 2020. Another result that was also shown in this study is the coefficient of determination (R2) at 0.7694 which means that 77% of the information needed to predict the dependent variable can be explained by all of the independent variables in this study.

Abstract

Online shopping convenience has provided a separate impact on consumers who want to shop, making them feel facilitated by online shopping features. Online shopping convenience also impacts the sales of used imported clothing or what is more commonly known as thrifting. They consider it no problem to buy used imported clothing because of its low price and still wearable, even seeking clothing with well-known brands. Purchasing used imported clothing, commonly known as thrifting, is influenced by the ease of online shopping and hedonic and utilitarian attributes. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the convenience of online shopping on the level of consumption of imported used clothing in Central Java, which is moderated by hedonic and utilitarian traits. This quantitative study uses a non-probability sampling technique in the form of primary data obtained from questionnaire data distributed online in the form of a Google Form. This research produced 100 respondents with the criteria of buying used imported clothes online. The results of the study concluded that the convenience of online shopping had a positive and significant effect on the level of consumption of imported used clothing. The influence of 2 moderating variables in the form of hedonic and utilitarian characteristics results in the ease of online shopping, which is moderated by hedonic characteristics, and does not significantly affect the level of consumption of imported used clothing. Meanwhile, the ease of online shopping, moderated by utilitarian characteristics, negatively affects the consumption of imported used clothing.

Abstract

Several trading and banking sectors strive to survive the current pandemic. Despite the intense competition in the financial industry recently, Islamic banks have demonstrated remarkable growth. However, the issue of defaults in Islamic banks often arises, where debtors cannot repay the obtained financing, disrupting banking performance. This research investigates the factors influencing funding troubles in Islamic banks, especially during COVID-19. Specifically, this study examines whether factor-specific banks and macroeconomics in Islamic banks control troubled funding. The research utilizes quarterly data from Islamic banks in Southeast Asia (Malaysia and Indonesia) from 2020 to 2021. The findings indicate that liquidity risk, inefficiency, and economic growth do not significantly affect troubled financing in Islamic banks. At the same time, capital, profitability, and inflation significantly negatively impact funding troubles. These results recommend that Islamic banks increase their capital and profitability proportion to reduce the risk of funding trouble.

Abstract

Maintaining a company's position among its competitors requires significant investment funds. The capital market is an alternative for companies to overcome investment funding constraints. Capital market performance is reflected in the Stock Index, which describes stock price movements. Fluctuating stock index movements indicate that there are things that influence the direction of the index. This research method uses secondary data sourced from the official website of the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (Kustiodian Sentral Efek Indonesia-KSEI), the Indonesian Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia-BEI), the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jada Keuangan-OJK), and www.investing.com. Thirty-three companies operating in the non-cyclical consumer sector and listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) for the 2018-2022 period are the sample in this research. Furthermore, the approach used in this research is a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis tools processed using the SPSS 25.00 program. The results have a positive and insignificant effect, namely the Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). On the contrary, Earning Per Share (EPS) and Return On Equity (ROE) are factors that have a positive and significant influence on share prices in the non-cyclical consumer sector recorded in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) for the 2018-2022 period.
