Abstract

The disqualification of the blind female athlete of Miftahul Jannah from the Asian Para Games judo in October 2018 was the first time that happened in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in news frames between AceTrend and Suara.com related to the Miftahul Jannah case by using several concepts of framing elements from Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki in the form of syntax, script, thematic and rhetorical. The concept is based on the theory of Peter L. Berger to dissect a reality of news, namely the Social Construction Theory of Reality. The results show that the AceHTrend frame through its reporting is more prominent on the justifications of attitudes taken by Miftahul Jannah related to its disqualification from the 2018 Asian Para Games judo sports. Meanwhile the news frame of Suara.com in its coverage highlights attitudes that are more inclined to justification regarding rules Refereeing Rules IJF in judo. Suara.com also said in its report that it did not blame the attitude taken by Miftahul Jannah in defending his belief. This shows that Suara.com wants to be neutral while remaining in favor of the rules of Refereeing Rules IJF in judo.

Abstract

Tabayyun an understanding something carefully the information received from the media information, checked first against, correctness content of information, whether news and information contained elements of slander and pitting. Study uses library research approach, namely study of literature, where the collection of materials and research data conducted through the review of Qur'anic text, commentary and other references that support and are considered important in this study. In the Qur'an, tabayyun explicitly mentioned in Surat an-Nisa 'verse 94 and Al-Hujarat paragraph 6. From second verse, it is explained about tabayyun which means it is seeking to clarify the nature of things or truth of facts carefully and cautiously. The fall in this verse to teach the Muslims to becareful in receiving news and information. For information very decisive decision-making mechanism, even the decision of entity itself. When you look at the phenomenon of reports in the popular media today, both print and electronic, in the context of tabayyun us by letter of An-Nisa 'verse 94 and Al-Hujarat verse 6, God does’nt memperintahkan us to deny news of fasiq or accept it, because it could be the news true or false. Abstract

Managing broadcasting management is not easy. Managing the broadcasting business is a difficult and challenging. This research aims to analyze the activity of management and organizational performance ACEH TV television media in an effort to disseminate the Islamic Sharia and Preservation of Local Culture in Aceh. This research is descriptive qualitative. Informants of this research is managing director, program director, executive producer, cameraman / reporter, as well as additional informants Regional Chairman of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) Aceh, Aceh Province Department of Islamic Law, and local media observers. The location of this research is in Banda Aceh, Aceh province.Sampling was done purposively. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by analysis of an interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the ACEH TV as the medium of television that is broadcasting management ACEH have done according to a local television broadcasting standard. Agenda setting function of mass media performed in the ACEH TV dissemination of Islamic Shariah in Aceh and local culture to influence the people of Aceh to implement Islamic Sharia and also maintain the culture and local wisdom Aceh. It can be seen from all the programs that are aired ACEH TV is a program of local cultural nuances of Islamic law.There are still some shortcomings in running broadcasting broadcasting technology such as lack of equipment that is increasingly sophisticated. The results of image editing is very simple, and some programs presenter still looks stiff when in front of the camera. Keywords: Management of ACEH television,Islamic law,local culture Acehnese,agenda setting.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the government commucation system throght Musrenbang (Musyawarah Rencana Pembangunan - Development Plan Discussion) in the devolopment  north Aceh community’s religiosity. The data were collected throght intensive imnterviews whit related figures, such as the head of North Aceh Bappeda, non-government organization leaders, north Aceh Community leaders, as well as the head of Ulama consultation Council (Majelis Permusyawartan Ulama) – MPU, who also is religious leader in North Aceh Regency. Data were also colleted through field observation. The study also revealed that the government communicates primerly (directly) with society through advice conveyed through Musrenbang, than the government communicates secondarily (indirectly) through mass media. The communicator of relegion to north Aceh society is the ulama, subdistrict and village personnels, MPU, religious and traditional figure. The government is facilitator  for society’s communication. The advice given are the elimination of vices, the upholding of Islamic law, the mastery of religious studies, and the strengthening of family. The result of north Aceh gavernment and society communication is not yet optimal. The quality of religion life as well as the infrastructure to increase this quality is not yet sufficient as society has’nt utilized the  mosque  optimally. Religious teaching as value is not yet understood, internalized, and acted upon by society in daily life. Negative and deviant behavior, far from religious, normative, and ethical injuctions, often occur. The problem above is due to stumbling blocks such as the weak human resource of development communicator. The reason is the limitation of fund for religious development be it in the physical aspects as well as the lack of society’s role in development. Keywords: Government Commucation, Development Plan Discussion, and Mass Media

Abstract

This paper aim to examine on a comparison between press freedom in Indonesia and Malaysia in proclaiming their relationship. This study is expected to explain more about the difference that the author seems to differences over the rationality and public opinion. In this study, it was found that freedom of the press in the context of “neighboring countries” on the one side can be a fire in the hull that is tangible to the bilateral conflict so that each lost principle of balancing of the press. But on the other side, freedom of the press, however – more realiable in rationality and acceptance of public opinion, the similarities and differences are quite acceptable.Keywords: Freedom of the Press. Abstract

This article aims to show clearly how the actual relationship Aceh and South Sulawesi in the past and the present, so that the resulting discourse that Aceh and South Sulawesi have a thread that is not interrupted by distance and differences that have.This study uses library research method. the results of this study indicate that red thread of Aceh and South Sulawesi relantionship starts with the spice trade relations, then the marital relationship between Sultan Iskandar Muda and Putroe Suni who are descendants of Bugis, so that it ties to the history of the entry of the Islam religion to South Sulawesi. At present, the red thread is never interrupted Good relations are still maintained. The remnants of historical relics such as tombs of Kings of Aceh who are descendants of Bugis are still preserved right in front of the building of Aceh Museum. Beside the marriage between the two ethnics (Aceh and Bugis Makassar) which have occurred in the past, is still going on today. Marriage of two ethnic groups is growing. Thus, a red thread ties between Aceh and South Sulawesi is getting stronger. Keywords: Red Thread, Aceh, South Sulawesi.

Abstract

This article discusses the existing semiotic messages on cigarette packs and the impact on activesmoking, with research taking place in the Village of Alue Tho Seunagan District of Nagan Raya.The goal is to get the extent of the effectiveness or the effect of the semiotic messages and thenumber of public awareness to reduce the level of smoking addiction. in writing this article usingdescriptive quantitative research method is a method that discusses the current state based ondata and research analysis. The data collection technique used observation and questionnairesto the respondent sample collection techniques using random sampling (random selection) is thewhole object of the total population sampled 30 people ie 10% of the total population of 300people, special people active smokers. These results can be seen the impact of the influence ofsemiotics messages through images on every cigarette packaging 60% affected from the entireinformant, and 40% are not affected. The conclusion of the affected would have to consider theeffect or stop smoking, then that is not affected by the effects do not exist. The effect influence theattitudes, behaviors and actions. It signifies the process of delivering the message conveyedproperly. From the results of the most active smokers get the effect will be to change attitudes andviews on smoking.

Abstract

Advertising smartphone is one factor very important in introducing a product to consumers. Foradvertising can affect mindset for consumers to use the offered by companies smartphone. Thisreport aims to understand analyze the influence of advertising smartphone in television stations ofinterest in buying the community in Sub District Johan Pahlawan District of Aceh West. This studyadopted qualitative approaches to explain data research obtained by using interviewing 10 sourceswho vote with used technique purposive sampling. According to the research has been discoveredthat viewing Any impact advertising smartphone presented on television stations of interest inbuying the community in Sub District Johan Pahlawan District of Aceh West. Abstract

Mass media is a container of creativity with various functions and roles that exist within it, andof course with attention to the discussion and journalistic ethics. So also with the role displayedby women in the mass media, especially advertising. Advertising is part of promoting goods orother products, including using women as a tool to beautify the uniqueness of the woman.Women are considered a product that is easy to sell or serve as a business land for mediaowners, so it represents women only to sell their bodies and beauties. That way, ads featuringwomen as objects are sold as if sexual displays are invisible and women only play a role in thehousehold sphere only. While the concept of Islam is very clear about glorifying women, andwomen have the highest degree.
