Abstract

The making of Indonesian soccer robot in the division of the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) especially in the process of coil rolling machines on a solenoid does not pay attention to ergonomic factors. The process of winding the wire on the solenoid is done using only the hands manually and in an un ergonomic body position, which is turning and bending. As a result, the convolution process lasts longer and in the wrong posture, causing fatigue and back pain. Macroergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) approaches are used to analyze the posture of the wire. The solution is obtained by design and making an ergonomic and semi-automatic coil rolling machines to solenoid Robot based on the Arduino Microcontroller

Abstract

In education, the use of smart-phone apps is very helpful in the process of teaching and learning. Therefore, this situation inspires and opportunities for the development of a smart-phone app namely the Electrical e-Wiring Module (called, MePE). The MePE app is a smart-phone app or mobile apps developed to help students who are taking electrical wiring courses to refer how to learn electrical wiring via smart-phone applications. In addition, this application can also be used as a teaching tool in the process of learning electrical wiring. The study was conducted to identify the requirements for MePE app, develops and tests the functionality of MePE app. There are four main sections in this application. This application is developed in accordance with the evolutionary prototype methodology. As a result of the functionality testing performed on the nine functions available on the MePE app all the functions passed the tests that have been performed. In addition, 24 of 31 respondents agreed that the MePE application is helpful and effective in learning electrical wiring. It is hoped that with this application it will help students that study electrical wiring courses to make reference to electrical wiring through this application.

Abstract

Mobile learning is presently taking part in associate degree more and more important role within the instructional method, additionally as within the development of teaching and learning ways for higher education. The power to find out ‘on the go– anytime, anywhere, is changing into more and more fashionable. The advantages offered by mobile learning are important. On the opposite hand, the implementation of mobile learning in educational activity relies on users’ acceptance of technology. Acceptance and intention to use mobile learning may be a topic of growing interest within the field of education. The model of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) is planned and developed by researchers via a mixture of eight major theories in activity prediction. UTAUT is among the foremost fashionable and up to date model in information technology acceptance. This is review paper aiming to review UTAUT’s previous studies of intention to use mobile learning. In conclusion, this research provides insight regarding the necessary factors for planning and designing an intention to use mobile learning model in higher education institutions.

Abstract

The study described the extent of knowledge in ICT skills of 180 teachers as a basis for a training plan in a selected schools division in Region 3. A descriptive survey method was utilized having a weighted mean and standard deviation to treat the data collected. It was concluded that the teachers displayed a proficient extent of knowledge in basic ICT skills. However, some of the skills enumerated have a low mean and were close to the adjacent group scale of the lower level of knowledge. Furthermore, they showed limited knowledge in some advanced computer applications which are necessary for the construction of instructional materials. The self-assessment revealed that they are knowledgeable in ICT skills, but they do not know how to use it in complex applications. The skills for development based on the training needs assessment reiterated a combination of skills which further clarified that not all skills under a certain application are known. It is then recommended that training needs assessment should always be conducted by school administrators to gather data on the actual needs of the teachers as a basis in planning a thorough training matrix to ensure that the development and training provided are based on the needs of the teachers.
