Abstract

Nowadays, waste has become a problem faced by people worldwide, especially in Indonesia. Wastes that are difficult to process, like plastics, can disturb environmental aesthetics, environmental cleanliness, and health. They have a power that is difficult to decipher, so the researcher applied several methods to them. Through an experimental process, this research designed the products of lighting elements for cafés made of plastic bottles in the types of PET and HDPE. Several phases in the testing process must be carried out to convert the wastes. First, data collection was then continued by the experiment process to produce design synthesis. In the design process, the researcher conducted waste collection, sorting, milling, washing, forming, and finishing processes. This research involved 3 sites for case studies, namely Blimbing Village TPS, Robbries Gallery as a place to search for data on waste processing processes, and Akarating Café as a theme and also as a place to look for observation data. The experimental process yielded lights used in a cafe having a hexagon shape with 2 different color accents and having different placements, such as hanging on the roof and sticking on the wall.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between teachers' selflessness on their school organizational commitment. The study employed a descriptive-correlation research design with the online survey as the primary data collection tool. The respondents came from the 30 elementary and secondary schools in the Schools Division Office, Central Luzon. One hundred fifty-one public school teachers participated in the online survey using a stratified sampling technique. Adapted questionnaires were used to gather data. For the statistical treatment of the study, the mean was used for the teachers' responses. In contrast, for the relationship, the study used Pearson r-correlation. The study found that teachers' selflessness described their philosophies as "agree." As for the teachers' organizational commitment, it generated moderate to high responses. There is a significant difference in teachers' selflessness regarding sex and position. Also, the study found a relationship between teachers' selflessness, and affective and continuance commitment aspects of teachers' organizational commitment. Based on the results mentioned above, the researcher provided some crucial recommendations for the study.

Abstract

TikTok has been one of the most used Social Networking Services (SNS) worldwide. It has grown into a platform with a broad range of content, including sports, fashion, performing arts, and education, encouraging learners to join the community. In this, this descriptive-correlational aimed to determine the relationship between TikTok Utilization and the Level of Engagement of BPeA students of the City College of Angeles. After gathering data from 103 respondents through an online survey, the findings revealed that the BPeA students undergoing online classes use the TikTok application moderately and responsibly. Also, the level of students' engagement during online classes was found to be very high. Furthermore, a significant positive relationship was observed between TikTok utilization and students' engagement. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend that the Institute of Education, Arts, and Sciences (IEAS), in partnership with the College Guidance Office (CGO), collaborate on providing webinars or trainings on how SNS such as TikTok can be a helpful tool or distraction at the level of engagement of the students. Additionally, instructors/professors may also use the TikTok application as an educational tool to provide a better and more engaging classroom environment. Moreover, conducting the same study with the addition of other degree programs offered by the college to determine if the results may support or refute the findings is highly recommended. Lastly, other variables may be added to this present study to understand further the relationship between TikTok consumption and students' engagement.
