A Research about analysis of manganese (Mn) levels in alkaline water using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (SSA) was carried out from 16-18 August 2017 in the laboratory of energy and mineral resources services. The purpose of this research are 1) to find out whether there is a manganese substance (Mn) in alkaline water, 2) to determine how much manganese (Mn) levels in alkaline water. Quantitative research methods with experimental types where the entire population taken in this research alkaline water traded in Makassar City. Samples in this study were 3 types of alkaline water with different brands, samples were taken using random sampling techniques. Each sample was measured 50 mL after adding 5 mL of concentrated HNO3. The results showed that the levels of manganese (Mn) from 3 different types of alkaline water brands for sample A were 0.030 mg / L, sample B was 0.060 mg / L, and sample C was 0.050 mg / L.

This study aims to determine the levels of calcium oxalate contained in the leaves and cloves of spinach plants and their benefits as information material for the public about the presence of calcium oxalate levels in the leaves and stems of spinach plants. This type of research is experimental with quantitative analysis that is to determine the levels of calcium oxalate on the leaves and stems of spinach plants. From the analysis of 10 samples consisting of 5 leaf samples and 5 samples of spinach leaf samples one calcium oxalate leaves 0.641%, two spinach leaf samples 0.562%, three spinach leaf samples 0.481%, four spinach leaf samples 0.722%, spinach leaf samples five 0.802% and spinach stem samples one calcium oxlat level 0.641%, two spinach stem samples 0.400%, third spinach samples 0.481%, spinach four stem samples 0.481%, spinach five stem samples 0.321%, this indicates that the highest calcium oxalate in leaf samples number five and the lowest calcium oxalate in stem samples with sample code five. So that it can be concluded that calcium oxalate levels in spinach plants are more commonly found in the leaves compared to stems and are still suitable for consumption.

The prohibition on the use of formalin as food additives has been stated in Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 033 of 2012, but formalin is still often used freely by producers who are not responsible for improving food texture and inhibiting the activity of microorganisms. This study aims to determine the formalin content of meatballs that are traded around Jalan Abd. Kadir, Makassar. This type of research is descriptive research. The research was conducted on 28-29 July 2017 at the University of Eastern Indonesia Pharmacy Laboratory. The population in this study were all meatballs that were traded around Jalan Abd. Kadir. Sampling was done by purposive sampling and determined as many as 5 samples by observing parameters such as texture, elasticity, and color of meatballs. The results of the qualitative examination showed no formalin content in the five meatball samples.

The purpose of this study was to determine the iodine content contained in salts produced in Labakkang District, Pangkep Regency in 2018. The type of research used was descriptive by giving an overview of iodine levels (KIO3) in salt with a population of all salt sellers in Labakkang District, Pangkep Regency using five samples with sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling conducted with qualitative tests and quantitative tests on August 24, 2018 at the Pharmacy Laboratory of the University of East Indonesia. The results of laboratory tests on iodine levels in salt with a qualitative test showed positive results in all samples and quantitative tests obtained iodine content that in sample C the iodine content was in accordance with SNI standards. In sample B and sample E approaching from the established SNI standard while in samples A and D are far below the SNI standard. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that iodine content in salts produced in Labakkang sub-district, Pangkep regency is only 1 sample that meets SNI standards, namely 30-80 ppm.

The aim of this study to find out if there are any Preservative and dye milled seasoning Regency using five samples with sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling conducted with qualitative tests and quantitative tests on Laboratorium Klinik GG Kota Makassar, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan on 6 Juli 2016. . Anemia is a symptom of underlying conditions, such as loss of blood components, lack of nutrients needed for blood cell formation resulting in decreased oxygen-carrying capacity of blood. This study aims to find out the results of examination rate of blood vapor in anemic patients at General Hospital Tourism University of Eastern Indonesia Makassar. Type of This Research Is Laboratory Observation, The sample in this study is anemia patients as many as 5 Samples.From the result of research which have been done at General Hospital of Universitas Indonesia Timur Makassar on 5 samples, the result is 40% -60% mm / h, 40% is normal limit while 60% is increased. Based on the above research results, it is suggested for the community, especially parents can pay more attention and maintain the intake of nutrition and healthy lifestyle.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a sodium salt of glutamic acid (a non-essential amino acid). Monosodium glutamate is widely used as a flavoring in foods. This study aims to determine the levels of monosodium glutamate on instant noodle spice traded in Tourism Cooperative University of East Indonesia. The type of this research was conducted by laboratory experiments with sampling technique using purposive sampling using 5 samples of instant noodle spice and examination method that is titration method. Based on the results of research that has been done then the monosodium glutamate content of the 5 samples are 14.5%, 16%, 16.5%, 18.8% and 21.5% where the lowest MSG levels are found in sample D with levels of 14, 5% and the highest level on sample E with content of 21,5% with weight of MSG from 5 sample is 0.016 gr, 0.0188 gr, 0.0162 gr, 0.0145 gr and 0.0215 gr. Therefore, instant noodles can be consumed 1 pack per day viewed from the weight of MSG which is still below the established threshold of 0.3-1 gr per day.

The number of cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the last six months continued to soar. Data obtained at the Health Office (Health Office) of Makassar City, the total number of patients who tested positive for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was recorded 528 cases, throughout January 2016. The data shows a spike in every month.This study aims to determine the results of the examination of the number of leukocytes and Blood Endap Rate in patients with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) in General Hospital Tourism University of Eastern Indonesia Makassar. The type of research is a laboratory observation that is described descriptively ie to perform blood tests on Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) patients so it is known that the results of examination of leukocyte count and blood vapor rate examination in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD) patient. Based on the results of the examination on 10 samples of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is obtained results 60% of the sample decreased the number of leukocytes with an average value of 17.8 and 40% of the sample leukositnya value of normal value with an average value of 25.7, 60% sedimentation rate of the sample had normal values with an average value of 74 and 40% of the sample had an elevated sedimentation rate of blood with an average value of 60.For prospective researchers further suggested that researchers calculate the number of leukocytes and Blood Endap Rate using more samples and using other variables.

The purpose of this research is to know the result of Isolation and Identification of bacteria on spinach vegetables sold around Nuri Baru Street of Makassar City and also to determine the bacteria contained in spinach vegetables, this type of research is descriptive research and describe as clear as possible and is observational laboratory. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The population in this research is all spinach vegetables traders around Nuri Baru Street of Makassar City. The results showed that from 2 samples under study where the first sample with the code A found the bacteria Enterobacter cloacae and the second sample with the code B there is bacteria Citrobacter diversus on spinach vegetables traded in the vicinity of the New Nuri Makassar

This research background of dragon fruit belonging to the fruit of great benefits and is a nutritious enough food for human health. One of them is vitamin C content that is useful to boost immunity, lower cholesterol, increase appetite, launch defecate, strengthen bones and teeth also for slippery, smoothness of skin and prevent acne. This research was conducted at Central Health Laboratory of Makassar on 29 - 4, April - May 2016. The purpose of this research is to find out how much vitamin C content in dragon fruit. From dragon fruit research taken randomly from five different traders around Makassar city, it is known 100% contain vitamin C which is high enough with acquisition value 128,24-166,48 ug / g
