Abstract

ABSTRACT: Today, humans are always faced with the complexity of the acute world situation. This situation is nothing but an increasingly worsening environmental crisis. This emergency situation is inseparable from the increasingly exalted anthropocentric ego. The assumption that eliminates intrinsic value to other ecosystems and the wrong way of life leads to the separation of relations between humans and the surrounding reality.The interdependent context between all ecosystems is degraded due to the wrong attitude of life from humans. The loss of the relationship brought a variety of environmental damage which caused the destruction of human existence itself. Poverty, hunger, war, global warming, floods and drought are a few of the critical phenomena of nature. For these increasingly emergency natural phenomena, this thesis is written as a critical reflection for humans to re-examine their nature as religious, social and ecological creatures as well as concrete action that must be done to reconstruct relations (reconciliation) with nature, with the surrounding environment and especially reconciliation with his own life through ecological metanoia and a new lifestyle.  KEYWORDS: relation, antrophosentrism ego, ecological exigent, multidimensional perspective, awareness, reconciliation, repentance and new lifestyle.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: A belief on absoluteness should not cause disharmony among people with different beliefs; instead it should continue task of peace. Calvinisme anthropology that believes in the existence of truth, justice and holiness in humanity encourages the development of democracy. Common grace for all mandkind propels heart attitude to accept diversity. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article entitled, The Policy of Education in Indonesia: An Evaluation towards The Formula of Curriculum Policy for Higher Education focuses on the study of the formulation of curriculum policy which refers to the framework of national qualification in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative method: the data was gathered through an interview, questionnaire distribution, and observation on three tertiary institutions in Indonesia, also secondary data in the form of selected books. This research finds that a curriculum policy which refers to the framework of national qualification in Indonesia is an elite product and weak in terms of socialization, and the consequence of this policys application is not as expected. policy. KEYWORDS: policy of education, evaluation of policy, higher education, higher education curriculum

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article examines whether appealing to learners moral identity makes a significant contribution to their ethical decision making. Moral identity theory and experiment in moral psychology will be used as a source to be reckoned with in improving ethical decision making. This is to avoid excessive emphasis on emotions, environment and knowledge of the rules which did have an impact on one's ethical decision making. The approach used in this article is the quantitative approach. The result showed that the understanding of moral identity can act as an element to boost the ability of ethical decision making. This suggests that religious education which appeals to the learners moral identity can help them to make better ethical decision when complementing the emotional, the environment and the rule-based knowledge approaches. Thus, it is expected that the learners can have good moral character in the future. This moral identity appeal should be widely adopted as a common practice in religious education class. KEYWORDS: moral identity, ethical decision, understanding, cognitive development, religious education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article with a title Evaluation to the Joint Regulation of Ministers in 2006 about the Establishment of a House of Worship will focus on the evaluation of the formulation of the Joint Regulation of Ministers in 2006 about the Establishment of a House of Worship (Peraturan Bersama Menteri PBM), as well as the evaluation of the application and impact of the enacted regulation. The research methodology uses qualitative research with an in-depth interview to some church leaders in Bekasi, West Java, who are directly connected with the enactment of this regulation, and also research to the related documents with the PBM, especially the policy wich founded the PBM. The research finding is the formulation of the Joint Regulation of Ministers about the Establishment of a House of Worship has not yet fitted with the formulation policy model of a democratic country so that its application is not in accordance with the expected goal. PBM application gives negative impact to the inter-religious harmony in Indonesia. KEYWORDS: regulation of the esthablisment of a house of worship, freedom of worship, policy evaluation

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Politics is an aspect and a system that is very important in the lives of citizens. All citizens including Christians cannot shy away from politics, because of politics produce various public policies. Thus Christians are supposed to take part in political life, not only in the electoral arena, but also in other areas. In the event the election, churches should not be nae. Churches must wisely give political enlightenment to their congregations, instead of the other way, lead the congregation to elect candidates of certain leaders. Thus the "political letter" issued by PGPI during the 2014 Presidential Election should be criticized as nae, since the content dictated the churches under PGPI. In addition, issues brought up in the letter were entirely unfounded. It is no surprise that PGPI Chairman, Rev. Dr. Jacob Nahuway, MA, received much criticism and scorn. KEYWORDS: politics, political participation, power, nation, country, religion.

Abstract

ABSTRACT:In the modern technological world, human is constantly relating with technology, be it as a user or as a part of technological production mechanism. But what is technology, what kind of value that technology brings, and how should one response to technology? Does technology brings good, bad or neutral? These are the questions that we need to answer as we live in a technological world. In the philosophy of technology, there is one thinker, who represents the school of Reformational Philosophy, named Egbert Schuurman. In the midst of two kinds of reaction towards technology (optimistic and pessimistic) Schuurman proposes a Liberating Perspective as the third option. This perspective is aware of the deep influence of human sinfulness in technological development. However, it also considers the beauty of creational design and Christ’s redeeming power for technological development. In this article, the writer would like to observe Schuurman’s thoughts regarding this Liberating Perspective as a considerable solution to the problems of modern technological life. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article with a title "ThePolicy of People Business Credit (PBC ID: KUR) in the view of John Rawls Theory of Justice" will firstly explain the economic condition of our country (the Republic of Indonesia) from the analysis of experts in economy and governments view to the current economic situation. Next, the discussion is about the formula of the policy of people business credit as an economic policy of Indonesian government in her effort to reduce the number of economic gap or income gap with a business fund allocation to SMEthrough PBC program. Abstract

Abstract: The civilization of human life is formed as not separated from human relations with the universe. Science has emerged through human relations with the universe. Human culture and tradition are also formed through human relationship with nature. Moreover, human religious imagination is formed through human relations with the universe. Briefly, humans live and develop themselves from and in the universe. In early time, humans interpreted themselves as part of universe and united with the universe that without it humans could not live. Yet, in line with the development of science and human civilization, the human perspective on the universe also changes. The universe tends to be seen as an object which can be exploited for the sake of human needs. Finally, environmental damage that also takes a lot of victims is a consequence of human behavior. The holistic and relational paradigm of the universe as well as philosophical and theological reflections offer to reinterpret the sacredness of the universe with the aim of improving human relations with the universe which tends to be anthropocentric. KEYWORDS: universe, ecology. ABSTRAK: Peradaban hidup manusia terbentuk tidak lepas dari relasi manusia dengan alam semesta. Ilmu pengetahuan bermunculan melalui relasi manusia dengan alam semesta. Kebudayaan dan adat-istiadat manusia juga terbentuk melalui relasinya dengan alam. Bahkan imajinasi religius manusia juga terbentuk melalui relasi manusia dengan alam semesta. Singkatnya, manusia hidup dan mengembangkan diri dari dan di dalam alam semesta. Sejak awal  manusia memaknai dirinya sebagai bagian dari alam semesta dan bersatu dengan alam semesta yang tanpanya manusia tidak bisa hidup. Akan tetapi dengan berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan peradaban manusia, cara pandang manusia terhadap alam semesta turut berubah. Alam semesta cenderung dipandang sebagai objek yang dapat begitu saja dieksploitasi demi kebutuhan manusia. Akhirnya kerusakan lingkungan hidup yang juga memakan banyak korban menjadi konsekuensi atas perilaku manusia. Paradigma holistik dan relasional terhadap alam semesta serta refleksi filosofis dan teologis hendak memberikan tawaran untuk kembali memaknai sakralitas alam semesta dengan tujuan memperbaiki relasi manusia dengan alam semesta yang cenderung bersifat antroposentris. Kata-kata Kunci: alam semesta, lingkungan hidup, eksploitasi, dominasi, paradigma holistik, refleksi filosofis, refleksi teologis, etika ekosentris.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article tries to foster a multi-civilization dialogue to religious society that faces humanity crisis due to extremism. Study through library research found that there is an axiom that religion and society is necessity in human life. In realty this two dimension is closely related and may resulted in sharp conflicts between culture and civilization. Inter-religious studies, including inter-religion dialogue, are developed to overcome these conflicts. Unfortunately the differences in comparative religious study are widened, although in the hazy form such as multi-culturalism ideas wich contain interreligious aspect. The ideas of multi-religionism in the intra and inter-religion dialogue become an important principe, since it looks upon One God as a source of religious existence in human. It is necessery to exceep the multi-religion principe wich deals with other factors such as race, culture, social, politics, economy, technology, and education of modern person. An innovative concept is neeeded that combines all existing elements in global multi-civilization dialogue, by considering global factors such as human rights, democracy, civil society, and world ethics. This universal multi-civilization concept can be declared as a discourse to overcome crises today comprehensively.
