Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning achievement of Physics science through the application of Empowering thinking Using Questions (PBMP) In Active Learning 'Team Quis Type for Students in Secondary School. The type of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles consisting of: planning, implementation, observation and evaluation phase, and reflection. Activity data for students and teachers is obtained through the observation sheet, while the student learning result data is obtained through the test given at each end of the cycle. The indicator of the success of the research is the students are categorized as active and have increased. Student learning achievement is completed in a classical manner where the students who scored ≥ KKM 75 score has reached ≥ 85% based on the total number of students who follow the evaluation test. Students' physics learning achievement in the first cycle obtained the average grade of 73.8, classical completeness 75.0%, and the average value of student learning activities of 12.3 who are in the category quite active. In the second cycle obtained an average score of 80.2 with 85.0% classical completeness, and the average value of student learning activities of 17.0 are in the active category. We conclude that PBMP has been able to improve students' physics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning model on student physics achievement in junior high school. The method used is experimental research. The sample used are; grade VII-D students as many as 27 people as control class, and level VII-G as many as 27 people as experimental class. The sample selection was done by purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by pre-test and post-test in both classes. The average pre-test in the experimental class is 28.04 and 30.11 for the control class. The average post-test score in the experimental class is 74.41 and 69.26 for the control class. The analysis result using t-test obtained t-test of 1.82 and t-table is 1.67. The value of t-test is greater than t-table at 5% and dk is 52. We conclude that there has been a significant influence of inquiry learning model on physics learning achievement.

Abstract

The lack of skill in grade VIII students is very worrying. Learning activities are still teacher-centered, donated by conventional methods, and methods that are not appropriate so that students are not active during the learning and impact on the low achievement of learning. Therefore, to solve the problem in this research used the application of science learning model of community technology to improve learning achievement. This study aims to improve student achievement. This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles; data collected using observation sheets, 'process skill' tests and evaluation tests. Data has been quantitatively analyzed. The subjects of this study are all classes VIII-A at SMP Negeri 6 east praya, amounting to 28 students. The results showed that the average of learning outcomes in cycle I was 34, 9 with 10, 7% classical completeness. In cycle II has increased average to 67, 5 with classical completeness 85, 7%. Skills of students' science processes increase from cycle I to II. This research can be concluded that in the application of learning model of 'community technology science' has been able to improve students' science process skill.

Abstract

One-dimensional wave problem research has been done based on numerical computation reviews. The one-dimensional wave equation has been completed using the finite difference method. Results of completion based on the results of numerical computation reviews are simulated using MATLAB programming software. The simulation suggests that numerical computation is reliable for solving mathematical equations.

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyzethe effect of project based learning model to understanding concepts  and critical thinking skills in optics lecture at undergraduate student of Physics Educational Program of IKIP Mataram in academic year 2013/2014. This study included in quasi experiment with posttest onlycontrol group design. All of 75 populations are included as sample. The datawere analyzed with multivariate analysis (MANOVA).The conclusion can be stated based on analysis result is (1) project based learning model having an effect on understandingconcepts of undergraduate students ((Fcal = 37,88 > Ftable = 3,91), with pvalue<0,05. (2) project based learning model having an effect on critical thinking skill of undergraduate students ((Fcal = 5,47 > Ftable = 3,91), with pvalue<0,05. (3) project based learning model having an effect on both understandingconcepts and critical thinking of undergraduate students ((Fcal = 34,86 > Ftable = 3,91), with pvalue<0,05.
