Abstract

Military discipline education plays a crucial role in shaping the character and leadership of individuals in the military environment. Culture, as a powerful social factor, can exert significant influence on the military discipline education process. This article aims to explore the influence of culture on military discipline education through a literature review method. In the process, we present the results of analyses of various relevant studies that highlight the role of culture in shaping values, norms, and practices in military discipline education. The main findings of this research reveal that culture has a significant impact on the formation and implementation of military discipline education, including values, ethics, and the level of discipline applied in the military environment. These results provide deep insights into the importance of considering cultural factors in designing effective military discipline education programs. This knowledge can contribute to improving the quality of military discipline education, ultimately positively affecting the capabilities and professionalism of military personnel.

Abstract

Local wisdom, encompassing values, traditions, cultural heritage, and traditional skills in agriculture, crafts, or local arts, has become a highly sought-after tourist attraction with economic value. Various cultures and local wisdom in the city of Batu, packaged in festivals, have emerged as an alternative Destination Tourism Area (DTW) in this City of Flowers. Since its inception in 2007, the Batu Flora Festival (BFF) has become a regular annual event as part of the Batu City anniversary celebrations, attracting thousands of visitors. This fact underscores the importance of tourism based on local wisdom through flower and ornamental plant festivals as a viable alternative for tourism development, not only for the local market but also as a significant promotional tool to introduce Batu City internationally. The aim of this research is to provide recommendations for relevant stakeholders by identifying and determining whether the implementation of BFF is an effective strategy in developing and promoting Batu City with its unique local wisdom potential. The research method employed is qualitative analysis through literature review and information gathered from various media related to the Batu Flora Festival. The analysis method used is the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis. A STRUCTURED SWOT analysis is employed to assess the potential and issues in local wisdom-based tourism in Batu City through the Batu Flora Festival, encompassing internal and external potentials and issues.

Abstract

The development of expressive language needs to be developed so that children can express their opinions and thoughts to other people. Children's expressive language development can be developed through the reading aloud method. This research aims to examine the development of children's expressive language skills through reading aloud at TKIT Permata Bunda. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research were group A children aged 4-5 years and two teachers. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation and direct observation. The results of the research show that developing children's expressive language skills can be done through the activity of reading aloud books based on religious and moral values. The implementation stage includes planning by selecting books according to the child's development level and containing religious and moral values. The next stage is implementation in the form of introducing the book, reading the story book aloud with the right intonation, holding a discussion and asking stimulating questions and motivating the child to retell the story. Next, the teacher carries out an assessment to determine the achievement of expressive language development.

Abstract

This study intends to determine the effect of promotions and prices on customer satisfaction and their implications on Wedrink customer loyalty in Jakarta. The population of this study is all customers who have visited Wedrink Jakarta. This study used descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The techniques chosen were purposive sampling and non-probality sampling with a total of 381 respondents. The results show that Promotion has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, Price has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, Promotion has a significant effect on customer loyalty, Price has a significant effect on customer loyalty, Customer satisfaction has a significant effect on customer loyalty. It is recommended to set the appropriate price so that customers are more interested and provide many promotions to customers to build a sense of satisfaction from customers and give appreciation to customers who are already loyal and make repeat purchases.

Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia plays a crucial role as an economic sector with the potential for increasing foreign exchange earnings. Batu City, known as a tourist destination, offers various business opportunities related to tourism. Kampoeng Kidz, an educational land in Batu, holds potential as a sustainable tourism destination with its nature-based learning programs and scenic beauty. However, Kampoeng Kidz faces challenges in digital marketing, particularly during the pandemic, which resulted in a decline in visitor numbers. This research aims to develop a digital marketing strategy, with a focus on social media, to enhance visibility and visits to Kampoeng Kidz. In the context of Law No. 10 of 2009 on Tourism, this study highlights the role of tourism in economic development and provides a rationale for the urgency of digital marketing development. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with the Branding Gelder theory approach. This approach allows for the reduction of irrelevant information, selecting only interesting, important, and useful information (Sugiyono, 2016). The study was conducted at Kampoeng Kidz using data collection techniques such as interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Tourist visit data to attractions in Batu City in 2020 indicate that Kampoeng Kidz had a relatively low number of visitors compared to other tourist attractions. The focus on educational tourism and its pre-pandemic recognition provide the basis for this research. Kampoeng Kidz needs to strengthen its digital marketing, especially through social media, to reach a wider audience.

Abstract

The low financial literacy index among the Indonesian population, as reflected in the 2022 National Survey of Literacy and Financial Inclusion (SNLIK), serves as the background for this literacy program. Women are identified as a priority group, aiming to make them financially literate, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on family finances and future generations. This research aims to contribute new insights into OJK's efforts to improve financial literacy among women in Riau using John Locke's message transmission theory as a theoretical framework. As the financial authority in Indonesia, OJK feels obligated to provide understanding and knowledge to Indonesian women to prevent various financial problems that may arise due to a lack of financial literacy. This study uses a literature review method to analyze the financial literacy efforts carried out by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for women in the Riau Province on July 29, 2023. John Locke's Message Transmission Theory is employed as the theoretical framework, with the hope of revealing how OJK's financial literacy messages influence the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the population, especially women, in managing their finances. This research is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of message transmission in efforts to improve financial literacy in society, particularly among women.

Abstract

The background of this research is the significant changes brought about by the fourth industrial revolution and digital transformation, demanding companies to adapt. One crucial aspect of digital transformation is human resource management (HRM). The objective of this research is to develop an appropriate HRM strategy to support digital transformation and enhance company performance. The method employed is a literature review. Data sources are derived from previous research on HRM and digitalization. Content analysis techniques are used to analyze the data sources. The research findings indicate that effective HRM development strategies include improving digital work experiences, providing opportunities for innovation, training, and recognition. Digital transformation positively impacts productivity, customer experience, competitiveness, innovation, and business transparency. Supporting factors and barriers to the implementation of strategies are also analyzed. In conclusion, developing the right HRM strategy can support digital transformation and enhance company performance in the digital era.

Abstract

Pembangunan kawasan perumahan di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan yang pesat seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk. Namun, perkembangan tersebut tidak selalu seimbang dengan ketersediaan infrastruktur, sosial, ekonomi, dan ekologi yang memadai. Kabupaten Bekasi, sebagai salah satu daerah penyangga Jakarta, menghadapi tantangan serupa dalam pengembangan kawasan perumahan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh aspek-aspek daya dukung tersebut terhadap pembangunan kawasan perumahan di Kabupaten Bekasi, dengan fokus pada dua kecamatan, yaitu Tarumajaya dan Tambun Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder serta analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek infrastruktur, sosial, ekonomi, dan ekologi memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan kawasan perumahan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah pentingnya memperhatikan aspek daya dukung dalam pengembangan kawasan perumahan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Saran yang diberikan meliputi peran penting pemerintah dan stakeholders dalam mengontrol pembangunan serta perlunya kerjasama dalam penyediaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) untuk pembangunan yang berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Bekasi.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the effect of interactive video on students' listening skills of the seventh grade at SMPN 1 Gedung Surian and to know where the better media used interactive or Powerpoint media in teaching listening skills. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group. The sample of this research consisted of 60 seventh-grade students who were cluster random sampling selected and divided into two groups: experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught using interactive video, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through a listening test before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using independent samples t-test. The results showed that the experimental group's mean score (73.67) was significantly higher than the control group's mean score (47.23) with a p-value of 0.000. The findings indicated that the use of interactive video had a positive effect on students' listening skills, and as the result of the mean score of both classes the interactive video was more significant than PowerPoint media. Therefore, it is recommended that English teachers use interactive videos as a teaching method to improve students' listening skills.

Abstract

This research explores the status and challenges faced by the Jewish community in Indonesia, particularly regarding the non-recognition of their religion by the government. The study aims to understand the impact of religious non-recognition on the constitutional rights guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia for Jewish believers. Using a normative legal approach and literature study method, this research analyzes various laws, regulations, and other relevant legal documents, as well as traces the history of legal institutions to understand its context. The findings reveal that although the Jewish community has been present in Indonesia since the era of Srivijaya, Judaism is not officially recognized by the government. As a result, Jewish believers face challenges in practicing their faith, including difficulties in establishing places of worship and obtaining legal protection. Nevertheless, they remain active in practicing their faith, making efforts such as establishing synagogues and communicating with Jewish communities abroad.
