Immunization is important for children because it can prevent various infectious diseases thatcan inhibit a child's growth and development. The provision of immunization in children isoften found various obstacles caused by the target of immunization cannot be achieved. Thiscan be caused due to a lack of information and immunization schedule errors due to the manytypes of immunizations with different schedules. As technology develops, various health-relatedcellular applications emerge called mhealth. Mhealth related to immunization is expected toincrease information for parents so they can provide immunizations for their children asrecommended. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of mobile applications relatedto immunization in increasing immunization information for parents. Literature is collected forreview, literature search uses several online databases that are included in the inclusioncriteria and is limited to 2015-2020. Nine articles are used as the main analysis, other articlesare added to support the discussion. Cellular applications related to immunization areavailable in various forms. Overall, these applications have a major role in providinginformation about immunization knowledge and immunization schedule information to increaseparental participation to provide immunizations to their children in full. Therefore, healthworkers, especially those directly related to child immunization, are advised to encourage theuse of mobile applications related to immunization against parents in order to achieve goalsrelated to immunization in children.

Abstract

Elderly with hypertension have a higher of anxiety. Mental condition influence sleep patterns of elderly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differenced anxiety and sleep patterns among elderly with hypertension and non-hypertension in nursing home (UPT PSTW) of Banyuwangi. A case-control design was used among 51 elderly (18 of control groups and 33 of case groups) using purposive sampling. A Geriatric Anxiety Inventory questionnaire was used to measure anxiety score of elderly, while Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire was used to measure sleep pattern. Chi-square test was used to analyze relationship between anxiety and sleep patterns among elderly with hypertension and non-hypertension. The results showed there were 57.6% of elderly with systolic hypertension having anxiety and 75.8% of elderly with systolic hypertension having poor sleep patterns. There were significantly differenced anxiety and sleep patterns between control and case groups (p<0,05). However, level of anxiety and level of sleep pattern were more higher in case group compare to control groups (p<0,05). The conclusion of this study, there is differenced anxiety and sleep patterns among elderly with hypertension and non hypertension. Therefore, elderly should more adaptive for mentainance of stressor and avoiding anxiety to reduce sleep disorder.

Abstract

The risk of complications in patients with hypertension can be prevented by good self-care behaviour. Self-care is the main factor that can be done to control blood pressure. Motivation is one of the determining factors for someone to do something they want. This study aims to analyze the correlation between motivation and self-care of hypertensive patients. A total of 84 respondents were selected in the study by using consecutive sampling techniques. Data was collected by distributing questionaires of Hypertension Self Care Profile (HBP-SCP) behaviour scale and Motivation Scale. Data were analyzed by using Spearman correlation test with a significance value of 0.05. The results showed that mean of motivation and self-care was 59,92 and 56,43. There was significant positive correlation between the two variables (p-value: 0,000 r: +0,444). This result means that the higher the motivation of a person, the higher the self-care behavior. Based on these results, the authors suggest increasing patient motivation in order to improve self-care behavior of hypertensive patients independently.

Abstract

The children are not small adults, but have unique characteristics that are always growing and evolving since their conception until the end of adolescence. Good growth and development of children requires appropriate stimulation and accordance with the age such as developmental stimulation. The aim of this study was to determine the influence development simulations towards pre-school children’s growth status. This research was using the quasi-experimental design without control. The numbers of respondents were 30 children (with aged 60-72 month). The children with dubious developmental status had performed the development stimulations for 2 weeks for 3-4 housr a day and evaluated the development status. Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire (KPSP) instrument used in this research. The data analysis was using univariate analysis (frequency distributions), bivariate (Wilcoxon test) and multivariate (ANCOVA test). There was a significant difference in the children’s development status before and after development stimulation interventions (p= 0.000), but there was no children and mothers’ characteristic factors that affect the children development status. Stimulation associated with the value of child development, where the high category of stimulation is not found in children whose development category is slow. So it takes stimulation of children from an early age. Growth stimulations can be done routinely as a part of efforts to improve the children development status.

Abstract

Most cancer patients receive chemotherapy which contributes to prolong life, with the most common side effects of constipation. Constipation causes general symptoms that are bad and affect the quality of life of patients. The purpose of evidance based nursing (EBN) is to identify the effectiveness of Auricular acupressure in overcoming symptoms of constipation in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. This EBN uses quasi experiments involving 14 participants in the chemotherapy treatment room with pre and post intervention assessments. The results of the analysis of the independent t-test showed that there was a significant difference in the form of faeces on day 6 with p <0.000 (95% CI). Conclusion: Auricular acupressure can be used as a constipation management nursing intervention in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Abstract

Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy have a certain degree of dependence. Nurses are present as service providers with caring experiences. Nurses' perception of caring is limited to the technical aspects of care. The purpose of this study is to explore nurse’s perspectives on caring behavior in treating cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The design of this study is a qualitative research. The participants were five nurses who directly involved in chemotherapy services. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection was carried by conducting in-depth interviews. The data collected were then analized according to the theme by Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and objectives of the study. This study has been approved in legal and ethic. Based on the results of the theme analysis, there are three themes namely caring understanding, forms of caring for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, and the benefits of caring. Nurses' perceptions about forms of caring behavior for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy are establishing relationships, conducting assessments, providing care that patients need and providing education related to patient health. This study recommends to provide information for nurses about nurse caring behavior that can be applied to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, so that nurses can improve caring behavior in patients

Abstract

Chemotherapy drugs are proven to be effective in killing cancer cells, but chemotherapy drugs can also cause side effects such as hair loss. These side effects make patients less motivated to undergo chemotherapy programs. The drop-out rate for chemotherapy program patients at the RSCM Polyclinic is 5%. The research objective was to prove the relationship between the knowledge and attitude of the patient and the support of the husband and the patient's motivation to undergo the chemotherapy program. The research method used was cross sectional. Respondents were patients undergoing chemotherapy programs at the RSCM polyclinic. The sampling strategy used was patients who had undergone breast surgery and were actively undergoing chemotherapy. Respondents amounted to 30 people. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation with a value of p = 0.032, attitudes with motivation p = 0.0001, support from husbands with motivation p = 0.0001. Meanwhile, the results of the multivariate test obtained a correlation model where two independent variables (knowledge and family support) had a very strong positive relationship with the patient's motivation to undergo chemotherapy at a significance level of 5% (p = 0.011; R-square model = 0.700). The conclusion is that the better the level of knowledge and attitude of the patient and the full support of the husband, the higher the motivation of the patient to undergo the chemotherapy program. Research recommendations for patients who have dropped out of chemotherapy.
