Abstract

Outcome based education is the basis of thinking for the Industrial Engineering Department Program, Al-Azhar University, Indonesia in formulating graduate profiles. Determination of the graduate profile is an important education program so that this study program tries to accommodate the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program as an alternative learning media that is beneficial for students. This study aims to identify students' knowledge of the implementation of the MBKM program. This study uses an analytical network process approach to rank 5 questions that are the focus of students' attention in implementing the MBKM program. In addition, a descriptive analysis was also conducted on the survey results based on the five priority survey questions. In general, based on the survey, it can be said that the MBKM program has its own charm for students to develop their competencies, skills, and soft skills as a provision for future graduates. In addition, students think that the MBKM program has significant benefits in improving students' abilities. This research is still limited in processing the questionnaire manually. Future research can be continued to carry out data mining on the results of an in-depth student survey. This research has the opportunity to be developed in terms of situational analysis of the MBKM program through the Soft system methodology (SSM) approach. Abstract

One type of heavy metal that pollutes waters is heavy metal copper (Cu). Cu metal is basically an essential metal for living things, but with high levels of Cu metal, it can interfere with the body's metabolic processes. Therefore, there needs to be a solution to overcome Cu metal pollution in the waters. One of them is phytoremediation, or the use of plants to absorb pollutants. Spear leaf plant (Sagittaria lancifolia) is proven to be able to absorb heavy metal copper (Cu). However, the growth response is not yet known in more detail. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the growth response of pike leaf (Sagitaria lancifolia) under stress of heavy metal copper (Cu). This research is an experimental study with a completely randomized design (CRD). The experiment was conducted with 8 treatments (4 treatments with 2 tests) and 3 replications. The 4 treatments were distinguished based on differences in the concentration of Cu metal used, namely 0 mg/L, 1mg/L, 2mg/L, and 3 mg/L. The results showed that exposure to heavy metal copper (Cu) in each concentration variation and detention time variation did not have a significant effect on the growth and morphological conditions of spear leaf (Sagittaria lancifolia) plant, so this plant deserves to be used as an option in recovery efforts of water environment contaminated with heavy metal copper (Cu).Keywords – Response, Lanceleaf arrowhead, Sagittaria lancifolia, Heavy metals, Copper (Cu)

Abstract

3D printer technology is being widely used in various manufacturing industries. 3D printers can produce three-dimensional products made of plastic sheets with a certain diameter called filaments. 3D printer filaments that are widely used are made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic. The purpose of this research is to develop a Creatics plastic waste processing machine to produce products in the form of filaments that can be used as materials in 3D printers, so that they have more economic value and are environmentally friendly. Creatics machine is an integrated plastic waste processing machine that converts plastic waste into recycled products. In this study, the Teorija Rezhenija Izobretatelskih Zadach (TRIZ) method is used as a product development method to determine product specifications that are able to generate new ideas by eliminating contradictions and using innovative principles that can produce creative solutions. In the process of selecting alternative concepts, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) decision-making method is used. The results obtained by the TRIZ method are important parameters and need to be prioritized in designing a filament extruder, namely product reliability, energy use from moving objects, and product strength. The product design chosen based on the AHP method is a filament extruder made of stainless steel to be resistant to rust and utilizes the fan in the filament cooling process.Keywords - AHP method, Creatics machine, Filament extruder, Plastics waste, TRIZ method

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to get the best combination of NAA and BAP concentration that enhance the growth of shoots and the best IBA concentration to root inducing from shoot apex explants of garlic on semi-solid MS medium. Research used experimental method with single factor and 2 steps induction of research, those are shooting and rooting. For the steps of shoot induction, the treatment used 9 combinations concentration BAP and NAA (k), those were k1 (NAA 0,25 ppm + BAP 1 ppm), k2 (NAA 0,5 ppm + BAP 1 ppm), k3 (NAA 0,75 ppm + BAP 1 ppm), k4 (NAA 0,25 ppm + BAP 1,5 ppm), k5 (NAA 0,5 ppm + BAP 1,5 ppm), k6 (NAA 0,75 ppm + BAP 1,5 ppm), k7 (NAA 0,25 ppm + BAP 2 ppm), k8 (NAA 0,5 ppm + BAP 2 ppm) and k9 (NAA 0,75 ppm + BAP 2 ppm). While for root induction used 3 treatments, those were i1 (IBA 1 ppm), i2 (IBA 2 ppm) dan i3 (IBA 3 ppm). The fastest time of shoot’s growth was 4,66 days after planting that appeared on k7 treatment. The treatment of k4 was the best average of the number shoots and leaves (2,66 and 4). Treatment of k3 was the best average of the lenght shoots and leaves (7,33 and 8,03). In the step of root induction, i2 is fastest time for root inductions (10 day after root induction) and the best average of the number root (2,66). Furthermore, i1 treatment was the best average of the lenght root (0,47 cm).Keywords: Garlic, MS, Plant growth regulator, Shoot apex, Tissue culture

Abstract

Making dry noodles from red bean flour substitution is one way to reduce the consumption of wheat flour in Indonesia and this dry noodle can be a functional food product. This study aims to determine the best substitution formula of red bean flour favored by panelists and to determine the results of physicochemical testing of the resulting dry noodles. The ratio of flour used between wheat flour and red bean flour is 90%:10%, 80%:20%, and 70%:30%. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with Duncan's further test. The results of the analysis of variance based on physical and chemical tests on dry noodles were not significantly different for each treatment at the 5% level. Meanwhile, the organoleptic test showed a significant difference in color (before and after the presence), but no significantly different in texture, aroma, and taste. The 10% red bean flour substitution treatment resulted in dry noodles which were favored by the panelists. This noodle has 86,07%±1,90 water absorption, 4,95%±0,12 cooking loss, 9,16%±0,45 water content, 2,15%±0,89 ash content, 7,62%±0,87 protein, 1,01%±1,14 fat, 80,04%±1,01 carbohydrates, and 3,88%±1,05 dietary fiber. Panelists on color before launching (somewhat like); color after (rather like); texture (rather like); aroma (slightly like), and taste (slightly like). Dry noodles with the addition of 10% red bean flour can be said to be a functional food source of fiber because the dietary fiber is 3.88%. This also shows that the fiber content of dry noodles substituted with red bean flour can be a source of functional food.Keywords – Physicochemistry, Characterization, Dried Noodles, Dietary Fiber, Red Bean Flour

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the coronavirus has caused most human activities to be hampered, ranging from trade bans and office closures to students who have to do online learning activities. However, over time, the rate of positive coronavirus cases began to decline so that governments in various countries began to open schools and allow limited face-to-face learning processes. This research was carried out as a step to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the school environment and was carried out at one of the vocational high schools in Jakarta using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify activities and risks that could potentially cause the spread of the coronavirus in the school environment. Then, the activity with the highest average fuzzy risk level is determined using the fuzzy approach. Activities with very high risk are analyzed for their causes using the domino theory and given recommendations for their control. From the results of this study, it is known that the level of compliance of XYZ Vocational School residents in implementing health protocols, especially when outside the home, is good. It is also known that there are 6 types of activities that are categorized as very high, with 10 direct causes that can cause incidents. Therefore, the most dominant risk control suggestion is administrative steps to minimize the spread of the virus due to weak control, which is the root cause of the basic cause and immediate cause, according to the domino theory sequence.Keywords - Covid-19, Domino theory, Fis mamdani, FTA, JSA, The Limited face-to-face learning process

Abstract

Ihau fruit (Dimocarpus longan var. malesianus Leenh) is a typical Kalimantan fruit which has a longan-like morphology. The vitamin C content and various phytochemical compounds of ihau has the potential as a natural antioxidant and antibacterial agent. This study aimed to determine the potential antioxidant and antibacterial activity of ihau extract on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in vitro with a post-test only control group design. Samples were extracted with 96% ethanol and water using the maceration method. Antioxidant activity measured using DPPH test. Antibacterial test using well diffusion method was performed in six treatment groups (ethanol extract concentration 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100mg/ml), positive control (Ampicillin) and negative control (sterile distilled water). The results showed that IC50 value for the ethanol extract of ihau was 681.05 g/ml and the aqueous extract was 698.3 g/ml. The antibacterial test indicated that ethanol extract had an inhibitory effect on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus at 70 mg/ml to 100 mg/ml concentration. It can be concluded that ihau fruit extract has antibacterial ability against gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) but does not have antioxidant activity.Keywords - Ihau fruit, ethanol extract, antioxidant, antibacterial, Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Ferns are generally found in high humidity habitats. Mandiangin Tropical Rain Forest Biodiversity Park has high rainfall and humadity, so it has the potential as a habitat for ferns. Research has been carried out that aims to inventory and describe the diversity of ferns found in the Mandiangin Tropicaal Rain Forest Biodiversity Park. The data were obtained by purposive sampling by circling the Mandiangin Tropical Rain Forest Biodiversity Park. The result showed that 11 families with 15 species of ferns were found, namely Drynaria sparsisora, Gleichenia linearis, Christella Sp, Christella dentata, Microlepia speluncae, Nephrolepis falcata, Pteris biaurita, Pithyrogamma calomelanos, Davalia dentriculata, Pteris sp, Platycerium bifurcatum, Selaginela Sp, Lygodium sp., Asplenium nidus and Pleocnemia irregularis.Keywords - Ferns (Pteridophyta), Mandiangin Tropicaal Rain Forest Biodiversity Park South Borneo, Manjai Hill Valley
