Abstract

The ability to read is an academic substance that is difficult for early childhood to learn. One of the effective ways that can be applied in the process of learning to read in early childhood is by combining learning with play such as using puzzle media. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in reading skills after being given learning using puzzle media in children at Kindergarten, Sooko Village, Mojokerto Regency. In this study, the research design used was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all 45 children in Kindergarten, Sooko Village, Mojokerto Regency. The sample in this study were 40 people. The independent variable in this study is the puzzle media. The dependent variable in this study is reading ability. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results of this study indicate that respondents who experienced changes in reading ability in the good category were 9 respondents (50%), the sufficient category was 4 respondents (22.2%), and the less category was 5 respondents (27.8%). The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistic showed sig. 0.001 < (0.05) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is a change in reading ability after being given learning to use reading puzzle media in children aged at Kindergarten, Sooko Village, Mojokerto Regency.

Abstract

The benefits of breastfeeding for the health of mothers and children have been substantially proven. However, exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months in Indonesia is still low in achievement, this is associated with low self-efficacy in breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypnobreastfeeding on breastfeeding self-efficacy for postpartum mothers in Kediri City in 2021.The research design used was a quasy experiment with a nonequivalent control group design approach. Involving 40 postpartum mothers as respondents consisting of 20 treatment groups and 20 control groups, which were taken by purposive sampling. The statistical test used in this study is the Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the rest-feeding self-efficacy in the control group was mostly in the category of less than 80% (16 people), and in the treatment group mostly in the good category of 85% (17 people). The results of statistical tests using Mann Whitney obtained p-value (0.00 <0.05), which means that there is an effect of giving breastfeeding hypnosis (hypnobreastfeeding) on breastfeeding self-efficacy in postpartum mothers. Planting positive affirmations through hypnobreastfeeding into one's subconscious mind, can increase the mother's confidence in breastfeeding so that breastfeeding can be optimal for babies and achieve exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

The increasing number of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites in Indonesia, and one of the bacteria that causes this disease is Bacillus subtilis. Therefore, the role of antibacterial is very important for the treatment of this disease. One of the antibacterials from nature is the white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) extract which was effective as an antibacterial against Bacillus subtilis. The research method uses the paper disc diffusion method. The results showed that the bacterial inhibition zone at a concentration of 20 g/ml obtained an average of 9.5 mm in the medium category, a concentration of 40 g/ml obtained an average of 11.3 mm in the strong category, a concentration of 60 g/ml obtained an average of 13, 3 mm in the strong category, a concentration of 80 g/ml obtained an average of 15.5 mm in the strong category and a concentration of 100 g/ml obtained an average of 17.3 mm in the strong category. The conclusion of this research is white oyster mushroom can be used as an anti-bacterial for Bacillus subtilis.
