Abstract

Green Open Space and parks are a balance system between nature and humans in the built area. The concept of green space and parks is a balancing of decreasing open space, and increasing the area built. To improve the balance of the environment and built area, green space in the built area, especially settlements, needs to be restored in order for the two systems to play an optimal role. Parks and green space is a response to the needs of the landscape in a residential area and urban areas. The need for green space and parks is ideally an integrated ecological, social, and economic aspects of the urban area. Community participation proposal aims to show the role of community participation in the utilization of the needs of parks and green space in a residential area for ecological, economic and social sustainability in the future. The proposed community service involves community participation in the management of green space and parks as open space in a residential area in Bukit Tunggal Village, Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya City. The method is a qualitative focus on observing community participation from the preparation, implementation and post-implementation stages of the implementation of the concept of green space and tree planting and garden arrangement in housing of the Bukit Tunggal village in an integrated manner according to the needs of open space for community activities and environmental preservation.

Abstract

Sumingkir Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga Regency has attractive natural tourism potential. Curug Bandung is a natural phenomenon that can develop to be a new geo-tourism destination for local tourists. Before the revitalization, the number of tourists that visited Curug Bandung was very slight. This happens because it has not been well ordered. Therefore, this activity aims to assist village communities in the revitalization of Curug Bandung to be a tourist attraction that is full of visitors. In this activity, the area around Curug Bandung was cleaned of rubbish and provided a special place for fishing grounds. The dam was carried out to hold the water flow from the waterfall to the river so that the depth of the bathing pool under the waterfall increased. Supporting facilities such as coffee shops and food courts are also built as a place to rest and relax the visitors after soaking in a waterfall. Every visitor who wants to visit a tourist attraction pays an entrance ticket for Rp. 20,000 each person. The income is used for the Curug Bandung conservation site. Tourism conscious community was formed as the party responsible for the management of Bandung Waterfall. The conclusion of this study is the revitalization of Curug Bandung has succeeded in increasing the number of local tourist visits and become a new income for the Sumingkir Village.

Abstract

Desa Candiwulan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Banjarnegara yang memiliki potensi dalam bidang perikanan yang didukung dengan cukup tersedia air meskipun pada musim kemarau. Salah satu jenis ikan yang  dibudidayakan adalah ikan lele dumbo.  Kendala yang sering dihadapi dalam budidaya ikan lele dumbo adalah  tahapan pendederan yaitu tahapan awal pemeliharaan benih setelah persediaan kuning telur habis. Tahapan benih dalam budidaya ikan lele dumbo merupakan tahapan kritis sehingga kelangsungan hidupnya rendah. Kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo rentan terhadap penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri sehingga perlu penanganan yang lebih intensif. Pencegahan perluasan penyakit dapat dilakukan secara dini, antara lain dengan peningkatan kekebalan tubuh dengan penambahan suplemen vitamin C dalam pakan. Tujuan melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah mendidik masyarakat desa Candiwulan menjadi paham dengan manajemen pemberian  suplemen vitamin C dalam pakan  untuk meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo. Metode yang digunakan Partisipasi Aktif, meliputi pembekalan teori, praktek lapang, demonstrasi plot dan pendampingan. Hasil  realisasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat dibedakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi hasil. Persiapan dilakukan setelah melakukan survei. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan secara  fisik dan non fisik. Kegiatan fisik dievaluasi berdasarkan pemantauan sikap dan aktivitas peserta selama mengikuti ceramah serta praktikum, sedangkan  non fisik dievaluasi berdasarkan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang diberikan selama berlangsungnya ceramah dan diskusi. Evaluasi hasil program dengan menghitung pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo yang diberi suplemen vitamin C selama 2 bulan. Pemberian suplemen vitamin C dapat meningkatkan berat dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele dumbo. Transfer teknologi dapat dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat terutama kelompok Karang Taruna Mardi Utomo di Desa Candiwulan Kecamatan Mandiraja Kabupaten Banjarnegara.Kata kunci: lele dumbo, pertumbuhan, vitamin C, desa Candiwulan

Abstract

The Entrepreneurial Student Program at Jenderal Soedirman University has been running since 2011. Students are trained to learn entrepreneurship by being provided with various facilities such as venture capital, grants, entrepreneurship training and business assistance. Students are given the opportunity to practice entrepreneurship in a variety of businesses such as culinary, various kinds of cultivation, trade and others. Business assistance for student business groups is carried out by lecturers appointed by the Chancellor’s Decree. The entrepreneurship program for students aims to increase the motivation and entrepreneurial attitudes of Unsoed Purwokerto students. Business assistance activities carried out to 27 business groups, with a total of 81 student participants. Business assistance is carried out in the classroom and at the place of business. Assistance in class is done by describing the results of the work that has been done by business groups and discussion of problem solving. Assistance at the place of business is carried out by direct field visits at the business places of the business groups. The head of the business group directly explains the production process and conveys the constraints and problems experienced during production. The accompanying lecturer conducts a discussion in solving problems with business groups in the business place. Business assistance for students in conducting entrepreneurship can improve students motivation and attitude in working to run a business.

Abstract

The increasing of  Indonesian life expectancy needs to be balanced with the ability of independence in the health aspect of the elderly community. Patukan Ambarketawang Yogyakarta has  high in a number of elderly people.  Knee pain experienced by the elderly, which have an impact on reducing their activity and productivity. Isoquadrisep exercises are one of the non-pharmacological efforts that are recommended to prevent knee pain. Elderly Posyandu in Patukan Ambarketawang Gamping Sleman village conducts routine activities to control the health of the elderly in general such as to measure blood pressure. Posyandu cadres and elderly participants are not familiar with isoquadrisep exercises on the knee to reduce knee pain in the elderly. Community partnership service is carried out to form cadres and isoquadrisep exercise training to prevent elderly with knee pain. The method for this activity is Training Of  Trainer on  quadriceps exercise for cadres and some communities. The results of this activity  are cadres have an isoquadricep exercise agenda at each elderly meeting alternating with other exercises that already existed in Patukan Ambarketawang Gamping.

Abstract

The use of antibiotics that is not wise can cause an increase in the incidence of antibiotic resistance in the community. This community service aims to conduct early detection (screening) MRSA as an effort to increase knowledge and increase public awareness in the wise use of antibiotics. The method used in community service was the identification of MRSA from the smeared nose and throat of the members of Posdaya Sunan Kalijaga, RW 2, Berkoh, Purwokerto. Antibiotic susceptibility test performed by  using the disc diffusion method, Kirby Bauer. History of antibiotic use in the community is obtained by using a questionnaire. The results of this activity show that S.aureus bacteria found in the community are still sensitive to cefoxitin, Staphylococcus aureus proportion was 9.33% of nasal smear and 34.66% of throat smear. However, the use of antibiotics that is not wise is still found in the community as much as 17.33%. The results of the activity were informed to the public as a reference to improve antibiotic use wisely.Keywords: Antibiotic Resistance, Staphylococuss aureus, MSSA, MRSA

Abstract

Rencana kegiatan tahun kedua adalah sebagai berikut: (1) pemetaan dan pendampingan komersialisasi produk unggulan, (2) pengembangan wisata berbasis agroekologi, (3) peningkatan daya dukung lingkungan dalam produksi pangan dan hortikultura (4) pendayagunaan embung sebagai pusat agroekowisata, serta (5) peningkatan keaktifan kelompok tani padi organik dan hortikultura organik. Luaran yang akan dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini diantaranya adalah artikel ilmiah yang dimuat pada jurnal nasional/diseminasikan pada seminar nasional, database produk unggulan desa, TTG dan publikasi di media massa. Kegiatan tahun kedua yang telah dilaksanakan sebagai berikut:1.      Pemetaan dan pendampingan komersialisasi produk unggulan (gropak, mino, dan kacang goreng)2.      Pengembangan wisata berbasis agroteknologi berupa penanaman tanaman bunga dan kelapa3.      Peningkatan daya dukung lingkungan dalam produksi pangan dan hortikultura dengan penyediaan  pompa air berbasis solar cell, yang menyedot air dari Sungai Serayu.4.      Kegiatan pendayagunaan embung sebagai pusat agrowisata dialihkan ke BumiTambangan sebagai pusat agrowisata.5.      Peningkatan keaktifan kelompok tani padi organik dan hortikultura melalui kegiatan kunjungan lapang dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk dan pestisida organik, serta teknik budidaya organik.
