Abstract

Cultural assets in the form of Tepak sirih Palembang is one of the nation's identity should be maintained existence, because Tepak sirih has historical and philosophical significance that is very interesting to know. But now the existence of tepak sirih already begun eliminated by more modern decorative objects more attractive. One way to maintain, inform and develop is through the medium of visual communication in the form of films. Feature films chosen for this film can inform the facts according to the director wishes to show a more interesting storyline. Through a feature film Tepak sirih Palembang expected the public will become more aware of and interested in the cultural assets of the town of Palembang, moreover, the hope is that people and governments can participate preserve and develop the cultural assets typical of Palembang through various media. Make a distinctive cultural assets Palembang remain, grow and be able to compete with the craft from abroad or modern. Cultural assets of the nation is in need of attention from the public, especially the younger generation, to arts and crafts typical of Indonesia could always be this nation's identity. National identity is indispensable in today's modern era of globalization, to maintain the values of noble traditions of Indonesia that has existed since time immemorial.

Abstract

Corporate Identity is a general overview of a medium to convey identity and inform about the positive values of a company, institution or government and private institution., The main objective of this scheme is to produce an identity design company that has its own characteristics. Sri Malay restaurant Palembang require designing new Corporate Identity to build corporate image. Through the creation of the logo on the Corporate Identity with unique simple impression and show the personality of the house eating, and then apply it in various media-related promotion.

Abstract

Nature tourism in the city of Pagar Alam should be kept clean and beauty, so that tourists both from Indonesia and abroad to come on holiday to the bustling city of Pagar Alam. Pagar Alam as Nature Tourism destination in South Sumatra should be more active in promoting the city is and add to the existing facilities for the convenience of visitors. Therefore designed a media campaign in the form of the encyclopedia, which presents the complete information about the nature of tourism in the city of Pagar Alam. Encyclopedia provides information and photograph the sights, to make visitors interested in coming to the City of Pagar Alam

Abstract

Incung Kerinci script is one of the Kerinci community culture in ancient times. Incung Kerinci script is an ancient manuscript that used by the tribe Kerinci on previously as a vehicle to write literature, customary law, and incantations written on bark, buffalo horns, bamboo and palm leaves. Incung Kerinci script formed by straight lines, broken and curved stuck. The slope of the line forming the letter was an average of 45 °. As a cultural product of the past, Incung Kerinci script always continue to be developed, in order to remain sustainable existence in modern life are increasingly sinking value of the local culture. The creation of this work passed three stages, namely exploration, design, and realization through the search of new forms of art craft, creative, and innovative, by not leaving the principles of modern art. Manifestations of the work using media of wood, sawdust, brass, iron, and bamboo. The technique used is: carving techniques, techniques nock, chisel technique, technique paste, polishing techniques, engineering lathe, welding techniques and grafting techniques. In the embodiment of this work more emphasis on the value of expression without leaving the meaning, message, and symbols. Meaning, messages and symbols contained in the artworks created this craft, is the transformation of cultural values and traditions of the people of Kerinci. The creation of works of art crafts can be a medium as Incung Kerinci script development, to the next generation. The creation of this craft artwork can also give insight to the creators of art, that in the context of the modern era, the essence of culture and local potential can be used as a source of creation is a work of art craft of personal expression.

Abstract

Traditional transportation of Palembang is now being replaced by modern transportation so the traditional transportation of Palembang has been forgotten by people. As the successor generation, we have to keep the traditions and the local cultures by still using traditional transportation which is currently still to be found. But in fact, some people have started to forget the traditional transportation, and haven’t introduced the traditional transportation to their children. Therefore, it was designed an appropriate educational media for early childhood, that is a pop-up book that can stimulate the curiosity of the children and also train the child's imagination. Pop-up book themed traditional transportation of Palembang is as an educational media for the children by introducing traditional transportation of Palembang and is as one of the effort to preserve the tradition of using traditional transportation of Palembang.

Abstract

Research aimed to reveal the ceremonial KenduhaiSko in Kerinci community precisely in the Sungai Penuh. The research is a qualitative research method of interpreting. The object of this study is KenduhaiSko ceremonial. The technique of collecting data is collected through library research, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique based on the results of the study stated that etnografi.Temuan ritual ceremonies for the community KenduhaiSko River City Full aesthetic significance. SkoKenduhai can be interpreted in the traditional party held aiming to unite the community such as the appointment of customary title. Of course with the event KenduhaiSko interweave solidarity and enforced for the survival of the ceremony, and this participation can be a contribution of thought and energy costs, as well as objects or equipment necessary for the provision of ceremonial KenduhaiSko.

Abstract

Children are a new generation successor to the ideals of family, religion, race and country. Kids are human resources. Instill good morals to children is essential for the creation of the next generation a good one way to get the kids to pray to the creator God subhanahuwata'ala, as the prayer itself is God's command. For those reasons, the prayer book is designed for children as a medium of learning about prayer, knowledge of Islam, stories and games, so that children can learn to pray with fun.
