Jurnal Absis adalah jurnal penelitian yang dikelola oleh program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pasir Pengaraian. Absis diambil dari istilah matematika yang merupakan jarak titik terhadap sumbu tegak. Jurnal Absis memuat artikel hasil penelitian atau kajian literatur dalam bidang pendidikan matematika dan matemtika. Jurnal absis terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober. Jurnal Absis diharapkan dapat menjadi tempat bagi peneliti pendidikan matematika atau matematika utamanya bagi dosen Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pasir Pengaraian, dosen berbagai universitas, maupun guru untuk mempublikasikan artikel ilmiahnya. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to provide an overview of the mathematical reasoning abilities of Vocational High School Students on the material of compositional and inverse functions. This research was descriptive qualitative research conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan in the academic year 2021/2022 in class XI. Samples were taken from as many as 29 students. The data in this research are the results of mathematical reasoning tests. The results of this research show that there are 6.9% of students have reasoning abilities which are included in the very good category, 31.03% of students are included in the good category, 20.7% of students are included in the good category, 31.03% of the students are included in the good category. Less than 10.34% of students fall into the very poor category. The average combined reasoning is 47.84% in the medium category. This research also obtained the most difficult reasoning indicator, namely finding patterns or characteristics of mathematical phenomena for generalization.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limitations of mathematics learning tools to support learning in the 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to produce products in the form of learning tools (syllabus, RPP and LKPD) on SPLTV material for class X SMA with PBL models that meet valid and practical criteria to facilitate students' abilities. The learning device was developed using a 4D model. The development that the researchers carried out consisted of 4 stages, namely: (1) define; (2) design; (3) development; (4) dissemination. The research instrument consists of a validity instrument and a practical instrument. The validity instrument is in the form of a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of the syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets and a practical instrument in the form of a student response questionnaire to determine the readability of the LKPD. Expert validation results show that the product in the form of learning tools reaches the very valid category with average results for the syllabus 92%, lesson plans 93% and LKPD 90%. The learning tools being tested were LKPD categorized as very practical in small group trials with an average student response of 85% in the very practical category.

Abstract

Students do not understand the basic concepts of mathematics. Even understanding mathematics lessons in class is still difficult, let alone solving mathematical literacy problems. This is due to the lack of learning media facilities that support mathematics literacy learning. So that due to a lack of understanding of the concepts of mathematics, and considers mathematics lessons are boring lessons. Therefore, it is necessary to develop flexible teaching materials that can be used in any situation to support students' understanding of mathematical literacy. Thus, the researcher developed a codular-based comic learning media for students' mathematical literacy comprehension skills. This study aimed to see the effectiveness of the codular-based comics learning media for the ability to understand mathematical literacy of elementary school students Edustar. This research was conducted at SDS Edustar Batam with research subjects in grades 4, 5, and 6. The data collection of this study used the results of the post-test of students on students' mathematical literacy of 62.01%. So it can be concluded that the codular-based comics learning media is effectively used as a medium for learning students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematical problem-solving skills through a realistic approach, to determine the Mastery of learning mathematics and student responses to learning with a realistic approach. This type of research is classroom action research with the subject of class VIII MTs Saifullah Islamic Boarding School, carried out in 2 cycles. Data retrieval is done by testing problem-solving skills and student responses. The results showed that problem-solving ability has increased. This can be seen from the classical completeness of the student's problem-solving ability test from the initial examination. Cycle 1 and cycle 2 are 5 (25%) students who complete the initial test, 12 (60%) students who complete cycle 1, and 17 (85%) students who complete cycle 2. The conclusion is the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities have increased through a realistic approach, Mastery of mathematics students' learning has increased through a realistic approach, and student responses to learning with a realistic approach to number pattern material are very good.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a practical and valid video for learning integral calculus using a pen tablet. This type of study is known as development research. This study employs a three-dimensional development model, consisting of define, design, and development. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire completed by material experts and media experts to assess the video's validity and a questionnaire completed by students to assess the video's usability. Based on the stages of development that have been completed, it can be concluded that the resulting instructional video is valid. According to the validation results, both material experts and media experts have a very high level of validity, with a total average score of 3.72 and 3.77, respectively. Videos created with a pen tablet are also useful videos. According to the criteria used to determine the usefulness of instructional videos, the overall average is 80.88 percent. This demonstrates that the practicality of pen tablet-based integral calculus instructional videos is very good. The findings indicate that the instructional videos created can be utilized in the learning process.

Abstract

Mismatches between teacher-created learning tools and 2013 curriculum requirements affect students' level of understanding of learning materials, primarily linear equations and inequalities of one variable. This study aims to create a learning tool based on problem-based learning of linear equation materials and one-variable inequalities that is valid and practical for class VII SMP/MTs. The resulting learning tools are a syllabus, a learning implementation plan (RPP), and a student activity sheet (LAS). This learning tool is a development study using a 4D model that consists of four stages: definition, design, development, and dissemination. The means of this research were verification sheets and student response questionnaires. The data analysis performed is a validity analysis and a utility analysis. The syllabus, lesson, and LAS validation results show very valid criteria with average validation values ​​of 3.64, 3.60, and 3.61, respectively. The results of limited LAS testing showed that LAS met very practical criteria with an average utility value of 3.61. A problem-based learning tool for linear equations and inequalities in one variable class VII SMP / MT meets valid and practical criteria based on validation and limited test results. It can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to confirm the effectiveness of implementing the project-based learning (PjBL) model. The results of this study show that applying the PjBL model to the optimization method course has efficacy in terms of positive responses to learning participation according to the outcomes that need to be met at each meeting increase. As many as 100% of student studies show that learning a musical instrument in the form of materials and task plans can stimulate learning and curiosity in students. Additionally, 98% of students said they were delighted with the project assignments, and 2% said they were burdened with their tasks. Ninety percent of students said group work helped them complete a particular project, and 5% of students said they disagreed with their group assignments. In addition to the questionnaire, the effectiveness of implementing the PjBL model can be seen from the written exam results and the given project assignments. These are cumulative to the final value of the optimization technique course. That means 71% of students get an A. 17% A- and 10% B+. The value indicates that the optimization techniques course is very successful, and no student fails while working with the PJBL model
