Abstract

Wood originating from Indonesian forests is recognized for its high quality, both as building materials and as industrial raw materials. To get quality wood, it takes a long time to replace trees that are cut down for at least 15-20 years. The rate of reduction of trees in forests is not balanced with their growth, so that forest areas in Indonesia are shrinking rapidly from year to year. To compensate for the increasing demand for wood, wood plants are needed that are able to produce wood quickly. Jabon Merah or Samama (Anthocephalus macrophyllus) is a fast growing local plant species with a wide spectrum of uses. In several places in Indonesia this species has begun to be developed and planted by the community. The Samama plant has been cultivated as a trading commodity on a wide scale, starting from the procurement of seeds, nurseries, plantations, wood and their processed products. Samama plants, apart from being used for the development of Industrial Plantation Forests (HTI), can also be used for reforestation and reforestation programs as well as other social forestry. Samama's growth productivity is very high, namely: the increase in the volume of wood above 20-25 m3 / ha / year for 6-8 years. The annual increase in the height of the samama tree reaches 1.5 meters, with an increase in trunk diameter of 5 cm/year. This means that in 15 years with fertile soil conditions and good cultivation techniques, a samama tree with a height of 25-30 m and a diameter of 75 cm can be produced. The development of samama plants as community forests or customary forests will have economic prospects and market certainty in the future. Therefore, it is hoped that this training can encourage farmers to plant and develop samama crops to help their economy. If the samama plant is cultivated properly, in 1 ha of samama plantation for 15 years, it can generate an income of 3 billion rupiah because the current market price for 1m3 of processed wood in the Ambon market is 3 million rupiah.

Abstract

This service aims to observe and disseminate good perceptions of the effectiveness of the taxation system, knowledge and understanding of tax regulations, and the level of trust in the legal system and government in paying tax compliance. The population in this study is the MSME taxpayer category of private individuals who have a free business in Rantau Utara, Labuhan Batu. This community Service (PKM) activity was carried out by outreach to the community in Rantau Utara, precisely on Jl. H. Adam Malik Gg. Taruna 45. The results of this Community Service Activ (PKM) show that previously MSME members did not know and did not realize what a taxpayer was. So I, as a resource person, conducted a socialization of Taxpayer's Community Service (PKM) to MSMEs in Rantau Utara, telling me what a taxpayer is and the types of taxes.

Abstract

Kenari (Canarium Amboinense Hoch) is one type of multipurpose forestry plant. This species has many benefits because, in addition to the fruit produced, wood, leaves, and sap from the Kenari plant (Canarium Amboinense Hoch) can be managed by the community to generate income because it has a fairly high economic value. The main problem faced in the development of the Kenari (Canarium Amboinense Hoch) plant is the correct cultivation process and mechanism and produces quality seeds. The type of Kenari (Canarium Amboinense Hoch) is known to have low dormancy and germination (Jumria, 2011) causing considerable failure in breeding. Another problem faced by farmers in the development of this type is the economic prospect that has not been seen if its cultivation is carried out, especially in West Seram Regency. The main purpose of the service activity is to provide knowledge and understanding to the people of Hatusua Village regarding the cultivation/nursery technique of Kenari (Canarium Amboinense Hoch) through the use of appropriate growing media to produce quality Kenari seeds (Canarium Amboinense Hoch), economic value and conservation value for the environment. The service activity was carried out at the location of the Hatusua State Seed Source Demplot, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency on 8 – 9 April 2022.

Abstract

The strong current of globalization has driven advances in technology, information and communication which then brought and forced changes in governance for various sectors, ranging from education, business to government. Communication technology is seen as capable of acting as an effective and efficient solution to a problem. One of the main phenomena of this technological advancement is the emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is marked by the widespread use of the internet, with sensors that are getting smaller, stronger and cheaper. School Digitization is an implementation of new learning, which is prepared to face the industrial revolution 4.0. The characteristics of the new learning are student-centered, use multimedia, prioritize collaborative work, exchange information, and encourage critical thinking and problem solving. Students do not only learn in conventional ways by listening to lectures from teachers and reading textbooks. However, they are challenged to collect relevant information, collaborate with friends, and solve problems from the problems they face and present them.

The implementation method carried out in this service is divided into 3 stages, namely the preparation stage which consists of observation and situation analysis, the planning stage consists of program development and the evaluation stage. The evaluation stage is carried out by presenting a pretest and posttest which is then processed using SPSS. After the education was carried out, it was found that the posttest score increased by 23%, which can be said that the service was successful.

Abstract

It is not simple to develop a child's character. Formal education combined with a good value planting method can help students learn more effectively and shape their personalities. Families, schools, communities, government, and the media all share responsibilities for children's education and character development. The family is the first and most important environment in which children's personalities are formed. The formation of personality Education in schools is an important element of the school's efforts to meet parents' expectations of developing, moulding, and establishing excellent character in their children. Integration and synergy between education in the home (informal) and education at school are required to build and develop children's character (formal). The combination of informal and formal education is hoped to build a good character for students’ especially for the human resources. As we know that Indonesian is rich of natural resources while the human resource’s aspect is a problem. The problem can be solved by enhancing the character of strong human capital based on the Indonesian nation's character through various forms of education (formal, informal, and non-formal) and at various levels of education (ranging from primary, secondary, and tertiary education).

Abstract

In the field of civil engineering, drainage is one of the technical efforts by making waterways or drainage lines to reduce excess water from rainwater, seepage, and excess irrigation water from an area or land. The drainage problem on Jalan Cijahe IV is a problem that has been occuring for a long time, it happened because the drainage was not properly maintained for since the beginning of construction. During heavy rains, the water and sediment from the drainage will overflow onto the road due to the large amount of sediment at the end of the cijhae IV road drainage. This study aimed to identify and provide an overview of drainage problems which in the end an improvement solution is obtained.
