Abstract

The online referral system (eReferral) is designed to improve waiting times and efficiency by standardizing information and online communication in the referral process. Online referral is the automation of the referral process in which appointments and other information regarding the outcome of a consultation are transferred between two or more healthcare providers. This study was designed to identify the implementation of online referrals at various levels of health care. This systematic review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement. Of the 10 articles included in this review, 6 studies were conducted in the USA, 2 studies in Canada, and one each in the UK, and Saudi Arabia. The studies used a variety of designs, including Quasi-experimental (n=5), longitudinal (n=2), qualitative (n=1), and Research and Development (n=2). This study provides a clear picture of the use of an online referral system, starting from the work process, effectiveness, barriers, and development possibilities for a wider reach. This system is very helpful in easing the workload of specialist doctors and for patients who are referred users get the benefit of shorter waiting times/queues, making it possible to reduce medical costs further.

Abstract

Changes in the way health care is provided during this pandemic are needed to reduce staff exposure to the sick, cultivate a culture of personal protective equipment (PPE), and minimize the surge of patients in health care facilities. The aim of this systematic review is to identify the role of technology in healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several databases, such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane Library, and Science Direct, were used to search for relevant studies. Eight studies were eligible for inclusion with moderate-good quality using CASP. Based on the research design, the included studies used descriptive, quasi-experimental, research and development, RCT, and case-control designs. In the included study, most telehealth and applications were implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic such as texting, telephone, live video conferencing, and smartphone-based applications. For health care providers and patients who are self-isolating, information technology is certainly appropriate in minimizing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. This solution has the potential to prevent all forms of direct physical contact, provide continuous care to the community, and ultimately reduce morbidity and mortality in the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, technology such as telehealth is becoming an important tool in care services while keeping patients and health care providers safe during the COVID-19 outbreak

Abstract

This systematic review aims to describe what factors are related to the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe. To carry out this brief systematic review, related literature searches were carried out on several sources, primarily PubMed Medline and Google Scholar Journals. Then a search engine related to Fe Consumption is used to make the work more meaningful and intensive. Then, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines are followed to carry out the work with care. Finally, the combined effect size was calculated using the review manager and the Compressive Meta-analysis software. A total of 9 studies from several developing countries were included in this study because they had fulfilled several adjusted requirements. In general, the factors related to the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe (iron) include place of residence, mother's education, husband's education, number of pregnancies, number of deliveries, knowledge of anemia, mother's occupation, husband's occupation, number of family members, early registration, household income, illness experienced, disease management, and first visit for antenatal care, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and family support, husband's support, maternal age. The compliance of pregnant women obtained in studies that have been carried out in several countries in the world to consume Fe supplementation is lower than the recommendations of the world health organization. Therefore, healthcare professionals should focus on increasing adherence to Fe supplementation by providing the recommended number of ANC visits.

Abstract

The first of six Global Nutrition Targets for 2025 is to reduce child stunting, which is a crucial indicator in the second Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger. This systematic review was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) items. The search for relevant articles was conducted on five online databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane Library, and Science Direct. The search is performed on the Title and Abstract. All studies with evidence reporting on the implementation of educational models in stunting reduction and prevention efforts. Articles published from January 2015 to May 2021, written in English or Indonesian and published in peer reviewed journals. To assess the quality of the included studies, an assessment was conducted using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP). The included studies were divided into three categories of poor, moderate, and good to assess their quality. The search yielded 17,666 articles; after removing articles that are duplicates, there are 9,625 articles left. Furthermore, 9,617 articles were issued after screening titles and abstracts which did not match the included themes, which were letters/reports/short communications/chapters. The final screening resulted in 6 articles that met the inclusion criteria. This study provides an overview of several educational models that can be applied to the community.

Abstract

The general purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to medication adherence of patients with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Public Health Center, Bombana Regency. This research is an analytical survey research using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus who were on an outpatient basis and registered/ domiciled in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Health Center, namely 196 people. The number of samples in this study were 85 people. The results of testing factors related to medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Health Center are as follows: There is a relationship between medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus with knowledge (ρ = 0.000), attitude (ρ = 0.012), motivation (ρ = 0.000), family support (ρ = 0.000), support from health workers (ρ = 0.000), and the most dominant variable related to medication adherence of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of ​​the Rumbia Public Health Center, Bombana Regency, was family support with Exp(B) or OR= 82,352 and the value of is 0.008. so it is recommended to further improve the prevention of complications by increasing patient compliance. For further researchers, this research is a contribution of thought which is expected to be used as reference material for other researchers who want to develop methods and studies related to diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

For children, hospitalization creates a crisis in their lives. In the hospital, children have to face an unfamiliar environment, unknown caregivers, and disruption to their lifestyle. This study aims to determine the factors associated with sleep patterns in pre-school age children undergoing hospitalization in the inpatient ward of Raden Mattaher General Hospital, Jambi. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all children who were hospitalized in the children's room at Raden Mattaher Jambi Hospital, the number of samples in this study was 50 people. Respondents in this study were parents of children who were being treated in the children's room at Raden Mattaher Jambi Hospital, the sampling technique The sample was done by accidental sampling method. This research was conducted in December 2018. The data collection technique was by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The data analysis technique used the chi-square test (< 0.05). The results showed that there was a relationship between physical illness, emotional stress and an uncomfortable environment with the sleep patterns of preschoolers with p-value <0.05. Looking at the results of this study, it is necessary for the cooperation of health workers to meet the client's sleep and rest patterns, especially children undergoing hospitalization.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang Anak sekolah yang bermain gadget (smartphone atau tablet) sebelum tidur cenderung memiliki tidur malam yang buruk. Durasi waktu penggunaan gadget perhari lebih dari 2 jam akan menyebabkan kerusakan pada mata anak. Tujuan Penelitian Mengetahui pengaruh intensitas bermain gadget terhadap kualitas tidur pada anak usia sekolah kelas V dan VI Sekolah Dasar Kristen Citra Bangsa Kupang. Metode Penelitian Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif pendekatan cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel 50 responden secara total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner intensitas bermain gadget dan kualitas tidur the pittsburgh sleep quality index yang memenuhi nilai valid dan reliable. Hasil Penelitian Sebagian besar responden dikategorikan intensitas tinggi penggunaan gadget dengan kualitas tidur buruk (87,5%), dan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara intensitas bermain gadget dengan kualitas tidur anak sekolah (p value 0,000<0,05). Kesimpulan Intensitas penggunaan gadget secara berlebihan menurunkan kualitas tidur anak sekolah.

Abstract

The number of incidence of hypertension is estimated to be able to cause 7.5 million deaths and about 12.8% of all deaths. WHO data in 2013 shows the prevalence of hypertension sufferers at the age of 25 years and over reaches 40%. Hypertension can be prevented and overcome by maintaining a lifestyle such as adherence to a diet low in fat, low in cholesterol, low in salt and reducing foods high in potassium and caffeine, regular exercise, not consuming alcohol, avoiding stress and controlling blood pressure regularly. Intrinsic motivation is motivation that arises in the patient, such as interests, attitudes and needs. If intrinsic motivation is good, it will encourage patients to adopt a diet according to the recommendations of health workers. Descriptive research design. The research was conducted at the Cibiru Health Center, Bandung City. The population is residents who have hypertension in Cibiru Village, the study sample is 30 hypertension patients. Collecting data using a questionnaire with the validity test value r table = 0.632 (n = 10). So that all questions are said to be valid, while the results of the reliability test value 0.984 means reliable. The results showed that motivation from attitudes and interests were mostly favorable, while most of the needs were unfavorable. Suggestions need to do further research on extrinsic motivation in controlling hypertensive patients

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a neurological disorder that influence perception, way of thinking, language, emotional and social behavior. Treatment should be sustainable to prevent relapse, so patient can be productive in daily life. One of the things that important in medication control compliance of patient with schizophrenia is access to health services. The aim of this study want to know the relationship between access to health services with medication control compliance of patient with schizophrenia in Poli Jiwa Rumah Sakit Jiwa (RSJ) Naimata Kupang. This study is quantitative study with correlation analityc design and cross sectional approach. The sample of this study is 75 family member of patient with schizophrenia were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection using questionare and observation sheet. The result of this study showed ρ value=0,000 with OR=8,643. It can be concluyded that there is relationship between access to health services with medication control compliance of patient with schizophrenia in Poli Jiwa Rumah Sakit Jiwa (RSJ) Naimata Kupang. Abstract

Health services in various installations, especially services in inpatient unit installations, must be able to satisfy every service user in accordance with the average level of patient satisfaction and its implementation in accordance with the code of ethics and service standards applied. The results showed that: first, there was a significant relationship between reliability and patient satisfaction with value (ρ value = 0.000 <0.05), secondly there was a significant relationship between assurance and patient satisfaction with a value (ρ value = 0.000 <0.05). ), thirdly there is a significant relationship between physical evidence and patient satisfaction with a value (ρ value = 0.000 <0.05), fourth there is a significant relationship between attention and patient satisfaction with a value (ρ value = 0.000 <0.05), fifth there is a significant relationship between responsiveness and patient satisfaction with a value (ρ value = 0.000 <0.05). This shows that the relationship of reliability, assurance, physical evidence, attention and responsiveness of officers in providing services and education to patients at the Regional Public Service Agency of the Bombana Regency General Hospital can affect the level of patient satisfaction.
