Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Population and Unemployment on Economic Growth in Bulukumba Regency. Ecoomic growth is an important indicator in assessing the development performance of a region, which is influenced by various factors, including the dynamics of population. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data obtained from time series data from 2010 t0 2024. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Bulukumba Regency. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression to test the relationship between the independent variable (population and unemployment) on the dependent variable (economic growth). The results showed that population has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while unemployment has a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth.Keywords : Population; Unemployment Rate; Economic Growth

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital, wage levels, and technology on labor absorption in the expedition sector in West Aceh Regency. The expedition sector plays an important role in providing employment, especially in facing the challenges of increasing unemployment due to population growth. With the development of shipping activities, the need for labor also changes, depending on the adequacy of capital, the amount of wages, and the use of technology. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The research sample covers the entire population, namely 26 expedition company units in West Aceh Regency which were taken using the total sampling technique. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents in each company. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, with classical assumption tests such as normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests to ensure the validity of the model. The results of the study indicate that partially, the capital and technology variables have a positive and significant effect on labor absorption, while the wage level does not have a significant effect. However, simultaneously, the three variables capital, wages, and technology have a positive and significant effect on labor absorption in the expedition sector of West Aceh Regency. These findings suggest that increasing capital and adopting appropriate technology can expand employment opportunities, while wage policies need to be considered with a more comprehensive approach to encourage employment absorption.

Abstract

Youth unemployment is a persistent problem in several regions of Indonesia, including Aceh Province. This study aims to analyze the determinants of youth unemployment by focusing on three selected areas: Aceh Barat, Lhokseumawe, and Banda Aceh, using panel data from 2019 to 2024. A quantitative approach was employed, with education and inflation as the independent variables and youth unemployment as the dependent variable. Panel regression was conducted using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), which was selected through Chow and Hausman tests. The findings reveal that education has a negative and statistically significant effect on youth unemployment, suggesting that an increase in education levels reduces unemployment among young people. Conversely, inflation has a positive and significant impact, indicating that rising prices contribute to higher unemployment rates among youth. These results highlight the importance of human capital development through improved access to education and the need for macroeconomic stability, particularly in controlling inflation, to reduce youth unemployment in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Communication and Teamwork on Employee Performance at Almadera Hotel Makassar. This research used a quantitative approach with a sample about of 61 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis testing through the t-test. Based on the Communication variable, the calculated t-value is 4.466, which is greater than the t- table value of 2.002. In addition, the significance value (Sig.) of 0.000 is also smaller than 0.05. The Teamwork variable has a calculated t- value of 2.216, which is also greater than the t-table value of 2.002. Moreover, the significance value of 0.031 is less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Communication and Teamwork have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. This study shows that overall, the Communication and Teamwork variables jointly contribute strongly to Employee Performance at Almadera Hotel Makassar.Keywords : Communication, Teamwork, Employee Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of work shifts on the potential for workplace accidents at PT PLN Nusantara Power Unit Pembangkitan Punagaya. Using a quantitative approach, this study involved all 58 employees working in a shift system as the population and sample. Through questionnaires, data were collected for analysis using descriptive methods, instrument testing, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that although work shifts have a positive effect on the potential for workplace accidents, this effect is statistically insignificant (with a significance value of 0.458 > 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.010 indicates that only 1% of the variation in the potential for workplace accidents can be explained by the work shift variable, while the remaining 99% is influenced by other factors. Thus, this study concludes that the work shift system at PT PLN Nusantara Power Unit Pembangkitan Punagaya is not statistically proven to increase the potential for workplace accidents.Keywords : Work Shift, Potential for Work Accidents, Work Safety

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the employment program by the Makassar City Manpower Office using qualitative descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from relevant informants. The analysis focused on four aspects: communication, resources, disposition (attitude of implementers), and organizational structure. The results indicate that program implementation has been running quite well. Communication is carried out through social media, outreach, and job fairs. Despite limited staff and facility resources, the program remains optimal. The disposition of implementers demonstrates a good work attitude, responsibility, and loyalty. The organizational structure demonstrates good division of tasks and coordination. Abstract

This study aims to determine how much training and organizational environment affect employee performance. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a sample of 67 respondents. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis. The results of this study Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and the organizational environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Telkom Indonesia Regional V KTI Makassar.Keywords: training, organizational environment, employee performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of leadership style and motivation on employee performance at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Takalar Branch Office, Pattallassang Unit. Employee performance is crucial in achieving the banking company's goals. The quantitative research method used was multiple linear regression. Data were obtained from employee questionnaires and tested for validity, reliability, classical assumptions, t-tests, and F-tests. The results showed that leadership style and motivation have a significant, partial positive effect on employee performance. Leadership style has a calculated t-value of 2.219 (> t-table 2.040) with a significance level of 0.034 (<0.05). Motivation is also significant with a calculated t-value of 2.169 (> t-table 2.040) and a significance level of 0.038 (<0.05). Overall, the R-square of 0.397 indicates that 39.7% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these two variables.Keywords : Leadership Style, Motivation, Employee Performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of intellectual intelligence and social intelligence on employee performance at the Gowa Regency Social Service. The type of research used in this study is quantitative using the SPSS 26 program data analysis method. The sample in this study was 49 people who were employees of the Gowa Regency Social Service. The data analysis used was descriptive data analysis, research instrument analysis, classical assumption analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing.The results of this study indicate that based on the results of data analysis and t-test results, it was obtained that the intellectual intelligence variable has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance at the Gowa Regency Social Service, so H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.943> 0.05. Conversely, the social intelligence variable has a significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.047 <0.05, which means that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Keywords : intellectual intelligence, social intelligence and employee performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of length of service and working hours on employee income at PT. Pelindo Regional 4 Makassar. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach and multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 53 respondents who are employees of the company. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the variable length of service (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the income level of employees of PT. Pelindo Regional 4 Makassar (Y), with a t- value of 3.148 and a significance of 0.003. (2) the variable hours of work (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the income level, with a t-value of 5.671 and a significance of 0.000.Keywords : Length of Service, Working Hours, Income, Employees, PT.
