Abstract

This study analyzes the profile of Neuromyth in Neuroscience lectures at PIAUD based on students' multiple intelligences. Neuromyths are misconceptions about the brain in learning. Early childhood education is very important as a stimulation of children's brain development. Teachers and prospective early childhood teachers need to avoid misconceptions about the brain (Neuromyths). This study is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach with the aim of identifying and describing neuromyths and the relationship of multiple intelligences of Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) students. The respondents to the study were 73 PIAUD students consisting of 95.9% women and 4.1% men with a pre-undergraduate education background. As many as 58.9% of the students who were used as respondents had taught 41.1%, had never taught 59.9%. Data was collected through questionnaire tests, and document analysis was analyzed by thematic analysis. The results show that the Neuromyth profile of the brain, learning, and teaching is not in accordance with scientific facts. For example, the notion that the left brain is more important and dominant for learning is compared to the left side. Judging from the multiple intelligences of PIAUD students, as many as 39.7% are at the level of naturalist intelligence. In conclusion, this Neuromyth profile needs to be overcome by providing accurate information about the brain, learning, and teaching, as well as using active and participatory learning methods reviewed from Education. The Multiple Intelligence of students is not related to neuro so there is no reason that multiple intelligence is related to neuroscience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze efforts to prevent and handle violence against children and their implementation in educational institutions. Efforts to prevent and handle violence against children in the school environment are important, one of which is the formation of a Violence Prevention and Handling Team (TPPK). Previous studies have identified various aspects of preventing and handling violence in schools, including child protection policies in schools. The findings in this study highlight how the implementation of the TPPK program in schools is one of the efforts to prevent and handle violence in schools. The method used is the systematic literature review method by reviewing various related scientific articles from 2018-2024 which were accessed through the Google Scholar database related to the prevention and handling of violence against children and the policies therein. The results of the analysis show that the violence prevention and handling program is being implemented but still requires comprehensive socialization regarding the formation of a Violence Prevention and Handling Team in educational units. Prevention of violence against children can be carried out through a comprehensive approach that involves the active role of schools, families, and the community. The success of the child violence prevention and handling program in educational institutions is highly dependent on the commitment of all stakeholders, firm policies, and continuous monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Early childhood social-emotional development is an important aspect in supporting optimal growth and development. This article aims to examine the influence of positive habituation on early childhood social-emotional skills through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review process involves sifting through the literature from 5,760 articles to produce 4 relevant articles. The results of the study showed that positive habits, such as sharing, waiting for turns, and collaboration, played a significant role in improving children's social-emotional skills, including self-regulation, empathy, and social interaction. In addition, the synergy between parents, teachers, and the environment supports the success of this habituation program. Barriers such as parenting inconsistencies and lack of parental understanding were also identified as major challenges. These findings confirm that positive habituation is a long-term investment that has an impact on children's social, academic, and professional success in the future.
