Abstract

A construction project can be said to be successful if it is completed on time, on budget and meets the specified quality. Many factors influence the success of a project, one of which is resource management. In the road construction project in South Solok Regency, the percentage of delays in completing the road project is relatively high in the medium-scale category. The purpose of the study was to identify human resource factors and dominant factors that cause delays in the implementation of road construction projects in South Solok Regency. This study will be conducted on a medium-scale road project from 2022 - 2023 on contractors who experienced delays in the implementation of road project work in South Solok Regency. In this study, purposive sampling techniques were used and questionnaires were distributed to respondents, then KMO and Bartlett tests, validity tests, reliability tests, MSA tests and rankings were carried out. The results of the analysis showed that the Project Manager, Site Manager, Site Engineer, and Executor factors were identified factors and this was proven by the analysis stages that had been carried out. The dominant factor causing delays in road construction projects in South Solok Regency based on the results of the ranking analysis, namely the Project Manager factor with an average value of 1.38519 with a standard deviation of 0.48093.

Abstract

Rainfall simulator is a useful tool for controlled infiltration and runoff from open space application conditions in capturing rainwater during the rainy season. Rainfall simulators provide several benefits urban in area which can improve a quality the urban of environment, can reduce heat energy in the room, cooling process through roof closure, evapotranspiration and the heat insulator. The first factors that influence runoff consist of rain intensity and watershed characteristic factors. This research aims to determine the effect of variations in rain intensity on the resulting runoff discharge, rain erosivity index, and erosion rate using experimental methods in making a rain simulator. This study was carried out with varying slopes of 0o, 10 o, 15 o, 25 o, and 35 o with different runoff time and volume at each slope of the roof garden. Roofs that use plants on average only produce 1147.2 ml of runoff, while roofs without plants produce an average of 1492 ml of runoff with a difference of 345 ml and a percentage of 26%.

Abstract

In an interview with the field supervisor and technical implementing officers of activities involved in the implementation of construction work in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency of Padang Pariaman Regency, the current condition of small-qualified construction service providers tends to have weaknesses in management, mastery of technology, capital and limited experts and skilled workers so that it affects product quality, punctuality of implementation and efficiency of human resource utilization, and capital. The purpose of the study was to identify factors that influence the performance of small-qualified construction service companies in Padang Pariaman Regency and their dominant factors. The research method used is a qualitative quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to respondents, where the non-probability sampling method (no-random sample) was used in taking respondent samples. The results of the questionnaire were processed using SPSS factor analysis. The results of the study found 5 factors that influenced the performance of small-qualified construction service companies in Padang Pariaman Regency, namely managerial/organizational factors, external factors, equipment factors, economic factors, and human resource factors. The dominant factors that influenced the performance of contractors in Padang Pariaman Regency were managerial and technical factors with a % of variance value of 14.404%.

Abstract

There are problems related to warehouse capacity not being used optimally at PT Bosowa Berlian Motor. This can affect the storage process carried out. Therefore, this research aims to minimize the total distance traveled and total travel time by warehouse employees in carrying out their duties. The data used in this research was obtained from data on incoming and outgoing goods over a 3-months period, namely from July 2023 to September 2023. The existing layout used by PT Bosowa Berlian Motor for storage activities within a period of 3 months selected 34 products that had a frequency biggest. The Dedicated Storage method in this research is used to determine the position of goods stored based on the frequency, distance and capacity of the warehouse used by PT Bosowa Berlian Motor. There are 2 basic classifications of goods stored in warehouses with a total distance traveled under existing conditions, namely 128580m and 56860m. Based on the results of data processing, it was found that the total distance traveled between the proposed layout and the existing layout for KTB products was 77% and for MMKSI products was 8%. Therefore, the proposed layout for PT Bosowa Berlian Motor is good to implement considering the significant increase in efficiency proportions.

Abstract

The Jambi City Tugu Juang roundabout is where Colonel Abunjani Street, Cokroaminoto Street and Captain A. Bakaruddin Street meet. The traffic conditions at this roundabout are quite congested, causing traffic jams, especially during peak hours. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. In carrying out the analysis, the calculations carried out by researchers were based on the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual Method (MKJI). The aim of this research was to analyze the roundabout network which includes capacity, degree of saturation, delays and queuing opportunities. As well as analyzing the current level of roundabout service against existing traffic conditions. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the capacity (C) in the BA braid section = 4763.30 pcu/hour, CB braid = 3962.23 pcu/hour, and AC braid = 3228.44 pcu/hour, the degree of saturation (DS) ratio is 0, 80. roundabout delay (DR) is 11.15 sec/pcu, the upper limit of queuing opportunity (QP) is 41.40% and the lower limit is 18.21%, the level of service based on the highest degree of saturation is on the CB interwoven section (HOS. Cokroaminoto street – Captain A. Bakaruddin street) has a service level of D.

Abstract

In the implementation of construction projects, the application of material management shows an influence on the smoothness of project work time, therefore it is necessary to examine and describe what parts of material management have an influence and how much influence they have. Based on literature studies and interviews and the author's experience as a project actor, a study was conducted to obtain the most influential factors in accelerating the implementation time of construction projects in Padang Pariaman Regency. The study was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire method which was distributed to project actors as respondents and after that validity, reliability and factor analysis were tested on respondents' answers using SPSS. The results of the study obtained 2 new factors related to project material management, namely the first factor of inventory and warehousing control and the second factor was the factor of selecting specifications and material scheduling. The results obtained were quite unexpected because the specification selection factor is rarely discussed and used as a consideration when discussing the project implementation time, however, with the emergence of this factor, we as project actors are aware that this specification selection factor is very important in accelerating construction work in the Padang Pariaman Regency area.
