Abstract

Shovel is one of the important parts in the clay grinding machine component, where this component serves to direct the material that is milled in the mill between the roller and roller bearings. With the high rate of replacement of this shovel material due to wear will have an impact on the decline in engine productivity due to lost working hours. Shovel material is made from Hardox 400 material where the value of BHN material hardness: 370 - 430, the value of material hardness is very influential in determining the age of the shovel, but still calculated from the side of the collision load that occurs during grinding. From the results of testing both macro testing and micro testing it is known that the value of material hardness (Hardness test) is not in accordance with the specifications of the material which is around 37% below the specification value. And from the SEM test results it can also be observed that there has been a significant change in the grain structure of the matrial surface and scouring on the shovel samples that have been used.

Abstract

Mesin pemecah kemiri adalah mesin yang digunakan untuk proses pemecahan buah kemiri. Dengan menggunakan pegas yang terpasang pada tabung sekaligus digerakkan olehporos. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kapasitas, kualitas, energy produksi dan efisiensi mesin. Mesin yang di uji berkapasitas 60 kg/jam. Dengan menyiapkan mesin pemecah buah kemiri dan alat uji yang akan digunakan kemudian bahan baku yang digunakan adalah buah kemiri dengan density yaitu 2,4kg/liter dengan ukuran rata-rata panjang 7cm dan diameter 3,5cm. Dari hasil Pengujian ini ternyata diperoleh kapasitas 34,95kg/jam yang bekerja pada putaran 20rpm, sedangkan pada kapasitas 42kg/jam yang bekerjapadaputaran 25rpm, dan kapasitas 52,49 kg/jam yang bekerja pada putaran30 prm. Kualitas yang di dapat pada putaran 20rpm yaitu 33,47% pecah, 58,36% cacat, 8,5% tidak pecah sedangkan pada putaran 25 rpm yaitu 28% pecah, 67,71% cacat, 4,28% tidak pecah dan pada putaran 30rpm yaitu 24,99% pecah, 67,44% cacat, 7,49% tidak pecah. Effisiensi,energi produksidandaya yang di hasilkan pada putaran 20 rpm besarnya effisiensi mesin 45,17% dengan energi produksi 3,58watt/kg dengan daya 125 watt, sedangkan pada putaran 25rpm effisiensi mesin 44,95% dengan energi produksi 3,11watt/kg dan daya 131 watt dan pada putaran 30 rpm besarnya effisiensi mesin 44,75% dengan energy produksi 2,61 watt/kg dan daya 137 Watt.

Abstract

The process of making a propeller flakes machine uses a rotary drum with a capacity of 40 kg / hour, has a construction machine consisting of, pressing mechanism, flaking and scraping mechanism. Scaffolding mechanism that uses supporting components such as elect romotor, gears, reducers, chains and bearings. In the making of the skeletal flakes machine aims to determine / choose the type of tooling equipment suitable for use, determine the process of making machines, the time needed to do both component and assembly work and the feasibility of testing the tool. fro quickly. from the results of making machines obtained overall machining time of 464.7 (minutes) or 7.7 hours If the efficiency of this machine work is estimated at 75% or (0.75), then the time to work on this machine becomes 7.7: 0.75 = 10.3 hours.

Abstract

In this design a melinjo pounding machine is made with a capacity of 30 kg / hour with a vertical pestle. The mechanism for melinjo collision is to put melinjo into the funnel provided, then the collector will pound the melinjo that has been inserted. 3 pulleys were used with nominal diameters of 7 inches, 8 inches and 8 inches, belts with 49 inches long belts, 2 gears with 6 inches diameter, 1 conveyor belt with 94 cm lengths and 3 inches wide, pulverizer rods with 25 cm length and diameter of 40 mm, with a frame height of 95 cm, width 42 cm. Abstract

In the process of processing cassava chips, especially chili chips made by the patumbak village community, ranging from stripping, washing, chopping, soaking and packing still use human labor and are done manually with simple tools. So that this problem can be overcome, the solution is to have designed and made cassava chopper machines. The purpose of this PKMS is to help solve the problems faced by small home industries with Appropriate Technology independently in the village patumbak, village. The implementation method begins by examining the technological and equipment deficiencies in the processing of cassava chips, especially the cassava chopper machine. During this time the process of chopping cassava before being fried into chips is done manually. The method used to achieve the PKMS goal is to make a cassava chopper machine in the village of Patumbak. The results obtained are that the PKMS activities have been completed by the team for 1 period of activity, the final result has been obtained the application of appropriate technology in the form of cassava chopper machines in partner villages and partners was greatly helped by these activities. From the activities that have been carried out the last questionnaire score that has been distributed to partner villages is the highest score influencing the results of understanding of the community or partners, where PKMS 2019 partners are satisfied and helped by the existence of the abdimas. The final result that has been obtained is the production of cassava chips increased by 50% when compared to before the team came to do PKMS activities, the condition of this improvement was seen after partners used cassava chopper machines from the PKMS team.

Abstract

The use of solar energy can be converted to thermal energy and can be used for cooking, drying agricultural products, and heating water. Solar energy developed and converted into thermal energy for cooking is the solar cooker. This study aims to compare the results of experimental research with ANSYS 14.0 simulation when cooking rice on a solar cooker. The type of solar stove used is a box type by adding mirror as a reflector, copper vessel as a PCM container, lug to hold the vessel's position during the cooking process, and aluminum vessel as a container for cooking rice. The result shows that the errors occurred between experimental and simulation at 10 minutes, 60 minutes, 120 minutes and 360 minutes are 1.15%, 0.84%, 0.79%, and 0.56 %, respectively Keyword: Solar Energy, Solar Cooker, Ansys Simulation

Abstract

The topic of this research is the engineering testing of a clothes drying machine by utilizing the waste heat condenser AC to dry clothes. The purpose of this study is to obtain the temperature and humidity of the average drying air in the drying chamber and to reduce the mass of the clothes to be dried. The heat output from the condenser is directly used to dry clothes on the dryer. The study was conducted within 30 minutes of the drying period. Clothing material used in this study is material with 100% cotton + polyester100% with a wet mass of 0.440 kg and a dry mass of 0.330 kg. The results obtained from this study were obtained mass of dry clothing in the 13th minute with a drying rate of 0.0085kg/s. The conclusion obtained that the use of condenser output for drying clothes is very beneficial for the utilization of wasted condenser heat. Keyword: AC Condensor, drying machine, clothes

Abstract

The rapid development of the refrigeration system, along with the rapid advancement of technology. Adsorption refrigeration cycle is currently being developed, especially in developing countries. Adsorption refrigeration cycle is very environmentally friendly. One component of this is the generator cooling machine. Type of generator used is a flat plate. The area of ​​adsorber is 0.25 m2 with a slab thickness is 1 mm. In this adsorber filled with activated carbon as much as 8 kg. The temperature of the water will decrease with decreasing temperature refrigerant in the evaporator. On the afternoon of the desorption process occurs adsorber receives heat from the lights and the refrigerant will flow into the condenser and melt in the evaporator, at night adsorber is cooled by the outside environment resulting in the adsorption process, the refrigerant will evaporate from the evaporator into the condenser and adsorber will be absorbed. The results of this study are vacuum adsorber temperature to obtain the absorption refrigerant refrigerant methanol at 200 0C and the temperature thermostat produces 123.43 0C adsorber temperature and methanol as refrigerant absorbs 6.25 ml/kg. Abstract

Some researchers have conducted research on the effect of fuel magnetation on the performance of the engine it self. But of the many studies conducted, it has never done research on high-tech machines (high technology). So the writer is challenged to do testing on high-tech cars. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the magnetic field on fuel consumption on otto (gasoline) engines. The test method is carried out by attaching a magnet to the fuel line with a variety of magnetic placement positions in the fuel hose. The test results show the amount of fuel consumption in the magnetic position A (closest to the combustion chamber) has decreased by 20% at 750 rpm (idle rotation) followed by the amount of exhaust emissions reduced by 12.9%. Abstract

Nanas termasuk salah satu sektor pertanian di indonesia, banyak yang mengkonsumsi buah nanas untuk di jadikan obat herbal maupun dimakan sehari-hari, pengupasan buah nanas sebelumnya pada saat proses pengupasan nanas terkupas lalu mesin dimatikan dan pengambilan nanas masih menggunakan tangan manual diruang pengupasan, maka dirancang ulang sebuah mesin pengupas nanas dengan menggunakan engkol penekan, yang diharapkan nantinya dapat mempermudah proses pengupasan buah nanas. Mesin pengupas buah nanas direncanakan dengan kapasitas 200 buah/jam, dan memiliki konstruksi utama yang terdiri dari mekanisme pengupasan nanas yang berkerja secara horizontal dengan menggunakan pisau pengupas yang terbuat dari Stainless Steel dan mekanisme penggerak dengan menggunakan elektro motor. Pada rancang ulang mesin pengupas nanaspisau pengupas direncanakan menggunakan bahan stainless steeldengan panjang 40 mm dan diameter 95 mm, gaya pengupasan sebesar 19 kg, dan mekanisme penggerak dengan menggunakan elektro motor dengan putaran poros penggerak bandul sebesar 24 rpm. Sedangkan daya motor penggerak total yang direncanakan untuk menggerakkan mesin pengupas nanas sebesar 935,34 watt atau 0,850 Hp, alasan digunakan elektro motor dengan daya 1,5 Hp di karenakan tidakadanya daya motor yang di jual di pasaran maka dipilih yang medekati daya 1,5 Hp dengan putaran 1420 rpm dengan tegangan 220 volt, 1 Phase. Dari hasil yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam rancang ulang mesin pengupas nanas perancang dapat menentukan komponen yang sesuai untuk digunakan dalam mesin pengupas nanas dan dapat melakukan perhitungan setiap komponen. Kata kunci : mesin pengupas, nanas karo (berastagi), engkol penekan.
