Abstract

This study aims to analyze corporate reputation communication strategies in digital media, focusing on PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI). As digital media develops as the main communication platform, corporate reputation is increasingly shaped by narratives conveyed in cyberspace. The main focus of this study is to explore how digital media influences the formation of BRI's image, as well as how these perceptions can influence investment decisions, both by individual and institutional investors. The online news articles analyzed cover topics such as BRI's commitment to financial inclusion, the bank's digital transformation, and its contribution to supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The results of the study show that digital media plays a very important role in framing BRI's reputation, with an emphasis on the values of innovation, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. The elements of reputation identified in this study include strong financial performance, successful digital transformation, and the ability to manage and support MSMEs. These elements have proven to be key factors in building investor confidence, which in turn plays an important role in influencing market perceptions of BRI. This study makes an important contribution to understanding how digital communication strategies can be used to manage corporate reputation amid the challenges and advances of information technology, as well as their impact on investor behavior in the capital market.

Abstract

This study investigates how Kang Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) populist communication style influences public perceptions of local leadership in West Java. Through qualitative literature review, the research synthesizes insights from scholarly works, media analyses, and contextual sources to explore symbolic, cultural, and emotional dimensions of KDM leadership communication. Findings reveal that his use of Sundanese cultural codes, informal language, and direct grassroots engagement constructs an image of authenticity, empathy, and accessibility—enhancing short-term legitimacy while fostering strong emotional connections with constituents. Digital platforms amplify his persona by transforming political communication into viral, emotionally resonant storytelling that bridges the gap between elite governance and everyday citizens. Nevertheless, the research identifies critical concerns regarding sustainability of leadership models built primarily on symbolic action and performative gestures. While KDM communication resonates strongly with grassroots communities and redefines leadership legitimacy, it risks overshadowing institutional reform, policy depth, and governance sustainability. Such duality reveals the ambivalent nature of populist-local leadership in Indonesia: effective in mobilizing trust and visibility, yet vulnerable when not embedded within structural accountability and participatory governance frameworks

Abstract

In the realm of politics, scandals involving public figures often attract significant attention, especially when reported by the media. One major scandal that once stirred public discourse was the alleged affair involving Ridwan Kamil. The media plays a crucial role in shaping public perception of political figures, often through news reporting constructed with specific narratives. This study aims to explore how the media constructs narratives surrounding the alleged affair of Ridwan Kamil, and how it utilises its influence to shape public opinion and reinforce power structures through such reporting. Using Antonio Gramsci’s theory of hegemony, this research analyses how major Indonesian media outlets, such as Kompas.com, Detik.com, and CNN Indonesia, presented news coverage of this scandal. It also examines how the media frames the news in ways that influence the public’s perception of Ridwan Kamil and his political standing. The method employed is discourse analysis, focusing on the texts and narratives built by the media. This research not only investigates what is reported but also how the reporting itself constructs public perception and discourse. The findings reveal that scandals related to personal morality have significant destructive potential, as Indonesian society still views political leaders as moral figures. The clear polarisation of public opinion in Ridwan Kamil’s case is not solely caused by the content of the news but also by the selective consumption of information facilitated by social media algorithms. This study also identifies character assassination as a political communication strategy used to damage reputations by attacking personal aspects. Ideological bias in media coverage aligns with Herman and Chomsky’s propaganda model, where the media serves the interests of capital owners and those in power.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer experiences with the Huling (Haus Keliling) service in Jakarta using Schmitt’s (1999) experiential marketing framework. Studies that specifically examine multi-variant mobile beverage services based on e-bikes through the lens of the five dimensions of experiential marketing are still rare, and this research aims to address this gap in the literature. The research adopts a qualitative phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews and observations of consumers selected via accidental sampling. Findings reveal that all five experiential dimensions, namely sense, feel, think, act, and relate are present in Huling’s service. Visual elements and taste provide strong sensory appeal, while emotional connection and product consistency require improvement. The study concludes that Huling offers a consumption experience that is not only functional and practical but also shapes consumer perception, emotional engagement, and social connection. Strategic recommendations include enhancing emotional storytelling, ensuring consistent taste quality, and developing digital features such as cart tracking and loyalty programs to strengthen consumer attachment and competitive advantage.

Abstract

Business success is not only measured by its financial profits, but also by its environmental and social impact. The concepts of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) can be the main foundation for implementing sustainability programs. Amidst competition with its competitors, Blibli strongly demonstrates its commitment as a business that is sensitive to environmental sustainability by creating the Blibli Tiket Action, one of which is the Langkah Membumi Festival event. Blibli collaborates with many stakeholders and runs the Langkah Membumi Festival event consistently and continues to provide innovations every year. However, many people still lack concern and are unaware of the importance of sustainability. Therefore, this study aims to analyze Langkah Membumi Festival 2024 stakeholder engagement and Blibli Tiket Action's sustainability goals in increasing public awareness regarding the environment and sustainable ecosystems, using the concept of Preparation, Engagement, Perpetuation (PEP). This study uses qualitative methods, through interviews with five informants, literature studies, and document studies of journal articles, company reports, and media reports. The results of this study indicate that Blibli Tiket Action uses a pentahelix approach to attract its stakeholders and chooses a concept plan that suits its stakeholders' lifestyles. In the Preparation phase, thorough planning and systematic stakeholder mapping were carried out. The Engagement phase highlights various participatory activities that successfully enhance involvement, while the Perpetuation phase focuses on efforts to sustain awareness and ensure long-term impact.

Abstract

Personal financial management still faces limitations in both manual recording and conventional applications, such as low consistency and bias in expense categorization. This study develops a mobile application for personal finance automation using the waterfall method, integrating Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Deep Learning to automatically record and classify expenses. The dataset consists of 900 images of local transaction receipts with varying print conditions. Text extraction is performed using a Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network (CRNN) and compared with the baseline Tesseract OCR. For expense classification, a CNN model with EfficientNet fine-tuning is applied Evaluation results show significant improvements with a character accuracy of 97.05%, word accuracy of 92.1%, and an F1-score of 82%. Transaction input time was reduced by an average of 62% compared to manual recording. A usability test using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with 36 respondents yielded a score of 70.069. The main contribution of this study is the integration of adaptive OCR and deep learning–based classification in the context of Indonesia’s local financial management.

Abstract

Hundreds of systems at PT. XYZ cause problems in managing credentials, as each user is required to remember multiple credentials. This study developed a QR Code-based Single Sign-On (SSO) system to simplify the login process using the Waterfall model Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach. The login process is completed by scanning a QR Code that represents the user's authentication token, and the login status is synchronized in real-time using WebSocket. The scope of this study is limited to the development of a login page prototype and testing login time and QR scanning time, compared with other methods. This study does not include penetration testing or cryptography. The results from black-box testing show that all features function properly, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) achieved an average score of 90.4%. Therefore, this QR Code-based SSO login system has proven to be effective, secure, and suitable for use as a modern authentication solution.
