Abstract

This study aims to analyze how audiences interpret the flexing content of a local skincare brand owner and the role of digital literacy in this process. Using a qualitative netnographic approach, data was obtained through analysis of the brand owner's TikTok content and in-depth interviews with four informants who are both audience members and consumers. The results show that flexing as a symbolic branding strategy is interpreted in various ways, ranging from admiration to suspicion. Digital literacy plays a crucial role in filtering information, assessing content credibility, and influencing purchasing decisions. The contrasting reactions in netizen comments confirm that digital literacy levels determine how society, particularly the lower-middle class, forms perceptions of flexing practices on social media.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology in the healthcare sector encourages hospitals to implement reliable and secure digital systems, one of which is the Periksa.id application. This application is used by doctors to record inpatient examination results and is now equipped with a fingerprint authentication feature. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the Periksa.id application using the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) method, which consists of six stages: requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, test environment setup, test execution, and test closure. The research was conducted at Soeharto Heerdjan Hospital over a period of three months with a total of 200 virtual users involved in the reliability testing. Testing was carried out on both functional and non-functional aspects, including response time, reliability, security, portability, as well as positive and negative testing, using tools such as JMeter, WAPT, and ZAP. The results showed that the application met over 85% of the software quality criteria, although several minor bugs and 12 security vulnerabilities (2 high, 10 medium) were identified and require improvement. This study contributes to the evaluation of web-based hospital application systems to enhance the efficiency of medical services and ensure secure patient data management.

Abstract

User Interface (UI) design and User Experience (UX) play a crucial role in the success of digital applications, particularly mobile-based e-commerce platforms. Good and effective design is characterized by constrasting yet harmonious color choices, intuitive navigation, visual consistency, and a comprehensive range of features tailored to user needs. This research aims to design the UI/UX of an e-commerce application for the Roda Mas workshop using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach, which places the user at the center of the design process. The prototype was designed using Figma and validated through Maze testing to obtain metrics such as task success rate, time on task, and error rate. Additionally, a System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire was administered to measure user perceptions of the resulting design. The results of this research are expected to produce a design prototypr that is not only functional and aesthetic, but also easy to use, meets costumer needs, and can serve as a basis for developing more effective digital applications in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes empowerment messages in Do It Yourself (DIY) fashion content on the TikTok account @dillaprb using qualitative content analysis of five selected videos. The analysis focuses on three aspects: pragmatic, semantic, and syntactic. Findings reveal that the creator’s content goes beyond showcasing the sewing process, as it also delivers atomistic empowerment through information, motivation, and inspiration that encourage active audience participation. Pragmatically, the creator builds emotional closeness through personal greetings, creative exploration, and practical tips. Semantically, the messages emphasize self-expression, personal identity, and creative freedom. Syntactically, the content features casual language, code-switching, and interactive communication styles. Overall, @dillaprb’s success in fostering engagement lies in integrating meaning, language structure, and communication strategies, thereby creating an inclusive, inspiring, and collaborative creative space.

Abstract

Tea plant (Camellia sinensis) originates from China and is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world. Tea plants are vulnerable to leaf diseases such as Tea Leaf Blight, Tea Red Leaf Spot, and Tea Red Scab, which can reduce the quality and productivity of the harvest. Manual disease identification is still commonly used, but this method has many limitations, such as dependence on farmers’ experience and inaccuracy in early detection. This study aims to apply the YOLOv11 algorithm as an object detection method to automatically, quickly, and accurately detect four classes of tea leaf conditions (three diseases and one healthy). The dataset used consists of 3,960 high-resolution tea leaf images that have undergone segmentation, augmentation, and normalization processes. The research was carried out through image preprocessing, YOLOv11 model training, and model performance evaluation using precision, recall, F1-score, and mean Average Precision (mAP) metrics. The results of tea leaf disease detection using YOLOv11 achieved an average precision of 97.2%, recall of 98.2%, mAP@0.5 of 98.8%, and mAP@0.5:0.95 of 95.5%. This model can be used to help farmers identify tea leaf diseases more quickly and reduce the risk of crop yield losses.

Abstract

The fifth-generation (5G) network promises ultra-fast connectivity, massive device density, and low latency, yet ensuring reliable Quality of Service (QoS) remains a major challenge. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 35 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020–2023, sourced from IEEE Xplore, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The review identifies key QoS mechanisms such as network slicing, resource allocation, and latency management, while challenges persist in scalability, interoperability, and security. Emerging trends highlight the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for QoS optimization. In Indonesia, regulatory readiness, spectrum allocation, and uneven infrastructure present both challenges and opportunities. The study contributes by synthesizing recent findings, outlining research gaps, and offering practical insights for policymakers, operators, and researchers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit on behavioral intention, as well as the effect of behavioral intention and habit on use behavior in the context of the Jiwa+ application used by Janji Jiwa consumers. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are users of the Jiwa+ application under PT Mega Group Indonesia. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT 2) framework. The results show that habit and social influence significantly affect behavioral intention, while other variables do not have a significant impact. Furthermore, habit and behavioral intention positively influence use behavior. These findings suggest that digital application developers in the food and beverage sector should prioritize habit formation and leverage social influence to enhance technology adoption among users.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of a site-to-site Virtual Private Network (VPN) between buildings at Universitas Bina Darma using two protocols: Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). The objective is to evaluate network performance based on Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, including delay, throughput, packet loss, and jitter. The study employs an experimental method by configuring VPN connections on MikroTik devices installed in each building and conducting tests using the iperf3 application. The results show that L2TP provides a lower average delay (6 ms) compared to PPTP (18 ms) and achieves higher throughput, reaching 95.8 Mbps at 100 Mbps bandwidth. In contrast, PPTP records lower throughput, with an average of 71.9 Mbps and TCP throughput of only 3.8 Mbps, but demonstrates better stability in terms of packet loss (0–0.0046%) and jitter (0.8–1.4 ms). In conclusion, PPTP is more suitable for stable data transmission, while L2TP is preferable for high-speed communication, and the choice of protocol should be adjusted to specific network requirements.
