Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, success factors, and impacts of character education that influences Madurese local as an understanding of ecology in the Independent Curriculum. The research method used is qualitative with a collective case study approach. The locations are SMPN 1 Larangan, SMPN 4 Pamekasan, SMPN 2 Palengaan, and SMPN Satu Atap Pengantin Pria. Data sources are the principal, curriculum vice principal, teachers, and students. Data collection through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis techniques are data collection, coding, organizing, verification, conclusions, and triangulation. The results of the study indicate that character education in the Independent Curriculum can be implemented through various subjects and extracurricular activities. Students can integrate Madurese cultural values ​​and have mutual symbiosis with the surrounding natural environment so as to foster awareness of the environment and recognize cultural identity. Success is influenced by teacher competence, sufficient resources, parental and community support, termination of doctrine, classroom management, utilization of the surrounding environment as a learning resource, and continuous evaluation. This innovation has an impact on increasing social values, creativity, cultural pride, environmental awareness, and students' ability to think in solutions to ecological and cultural issues.

Abstract

The intense business competition is also evident in the tourism sector, including at Camplong Beach. To increase tourist visits, effective marketing communication strategies based on environmental sustainability are required. This study aims to analyze how environmentally-based marketing communication strategies are applied at Camplong Beach, focusing on raising awareness and interest among tourists in preserving the beach environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with field research methods involving interviews, observations, and documentation. This research refers to the IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) theory which consists of advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations and direct marketing. The findings indicate that Camplong Beach implements several marketing communication strategies, including: (a) Advertising through social media highlighting natural beauty and calls for environmental preservation, (b) Personal selling that educates tourists about beach cleanliness, (c) Sales promotions such as discounts for groups, (d) Public relations through beach clean-up activities and collaborations with related institutions, and (e) Direct marketing through personal experiences and proposal submissions to stakeholders. These strategies have proven to attract more tourists and support sustainable tourism concepts at Camplong Beach.

Abstract

The application of ecological construction in Indonesian language and literature learning is a significant effort to integrate environmental awareness into the educational process. This study aims to explore how ecological construction is applied in language and literature learning at MA Ummul Quro Putri Pamekasan using a descriptive qualitative method and a naturalistic approach. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, involving teachers, students, and school principals as primary data sources. Based on the theory of ecological construction, which emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between humans, the environment, and culture, the study found that ecological construction was implemented by integrating environmental themes into learning materials, using teaching resources relevant to ecological issues, and engaging students in discussions that connect literature with environmental awareness. Teachers act as facilitators, encouraging students to relate learning to the ecological realities around them. Furthermore, ecological construction-based learning effectively enhances students' critical thinking, imagination, creativity, and instills sustainability values. The study concludes that implementing ecological construction positively impacts students' understanding of the importance of maintaining a balance between humans, nature, and culture, contributing to the development of holistic, sustainability-oriented learning approaches.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of elements of spiritual ecofeminism in the Starhawk perspective in the novel Former Ledek Tayub by Dandang A. Dahlan. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of abuse of nature carried out to oppress Ganis characters, classify the categories of spiritual ecofeminism violations experienced by Ganis characters using the Starhawk perspective, and the relationship between Ganis characters and nature. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. With data collection techniques using reading and recording techniques. The results of the research include the form of misuse of nature carried out to oppress the character of Ganis, namely witchcraft, classifying the category of violations of spiritual ecofeminism experienced by the character Ganis in the perspective of Starhawk, namely the violation of interconnection, and the relationship of the character of Ganis with nature, namely the union of Ganis with nature with meditation in tritisan that is carried out and carrying out traditions of gratitude to the Creator of nature such as ruwatan. It can be concluded that spiritual ecofeminism from the perspective of Starhawk, spiritual ecofeminism exists as a form of self-control in utilizing the surrounding nature so that this will prevent the nature of mastery and a form of awareness that humans need to be one with nature to be close to God and create peace of heart and mind.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze ecocriticism in the Pandawara Group's role regarding waste through the social media TikTok. as the main object in this study. Activities carried out by the Pandawara Group provide positive comments from various elements of society who use social media, especially TikTok. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data analysis techniques in this research, using data collection techniques that involve two interrelated components, namely Ecology and Literature. The results of the research in this study show that the ecological transformation in literary learning carried out by the Pandawara Group has been successful, but the awareness that exists among Indonesian society itself has made the ecological transformation uneven in several parts.

Abstract

The study of new student interest in the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Madura reflects prospective students' preferences for various study programs, which are essential to design adaptively in response to social changes and global challenges, including environmental issues. This research focuses on analyzing student interest using big data to understand trends in program selection and its relevance to ecological education in language learning. The research employs a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis, utilizing Python programming and libraries such as Pandas and Matplotlib for data processing and visualization from 2014 to 2020. The analysis reveals that the Islamic Education Management (MPI) and Islamic Counseling Guidance (BKPI) programs have the highest levels of interest, while the Arabic Language Education (PBA) program is less favored. Most prospective students come from the Madura region with backgrounds in general education and pesantren. Based on these findings, this study recommends the integration of ecological education into popular programs’ curricula to enhance environmental awareness among students. These findings are expected to assist the Tarbiyah Faculty in designing a curriculum that is more responsive to community needs and environmental challenges, while supporting student character development based on ecological and Islamic values.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of an ecological approach in learning Indonesian in the digital era with a focus on the integration of technology and environmental awareness in the learning process. The aim of the research is to analyze Indonesian language learning through an ecological approach in the digital era. The qualitative descriptive research method uses a literature study approach. Data was collected through a literature review which included scientific journals, books, research articles and digital documents relevant to the ecological approach in Indonesian language learning and its application in the digital era. The data obtained was analyzed using content analysis techniques, which included the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show, namely. First, the application of an ecological approach in learning Indonesian in the digital era can be done through various digital platforms. Second, digital technology in ecologically based Indonesian language learning offers benefits. Third, ecologically based Indonesian language learning in the digital era requires a change in method, with the teacher as a facilitator who accompanies students to explore and analyze environmental issues through digital language activities.

Abstract

Environmental issues continue to be a global concern, driven by exploitative human behavior that disrupts ecological balance. Literature, as a reflection of reality, often addresses environmental problems through narratives that raise ecological awareness among readers. This study aims to describe the representation of environmental issues in the novel Tiang Garam by Royyan Julian and its relevance to teaching Indonesian Language and Literature. A qualitative descriptive method with an ecocriticism approach was employed. The research data consist of textual excerpts depicting environmental problems, with the primary source being the novel Tiang Garam. Data collection was conducted using observation and note-taking techniques, and data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, modified to suit the research needs. The findings highlight three major environmental issues in the novel: (1) deforestation, (2) environmental pollution, and (3) animal exploitation, all resulting from human activities. The conclusion reveals that Tiang Garam is highly relevant as teaching material for Indonesian Language and Literature, particularly in fostering students' ecological awareness and encouraging responsible attitudes toward nature conservation.
