Abstract

Learning strategies play a crucial role in creating effective and inclusive learning experiences, particularly in poetry writing instruction, which requires students’ social sensitivity and emotional engagement. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Cooperative Learning strategy in poetry writing instruction to enhance students' social interaction in inclusive classrooms. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Cooperative Learning is effective in fostering positive social interaction through heterogeneous group work, fair role distribution, and structured interpersonal communication. In addition to increasing students’ appreciation of poetry, this strategy also cultivates empathy, a sense of responsibility, and social cohesion among students, including those with special educational needs. Thus, Cooperative Learning not only strengthens literary learning outcomes but also serves as a pedagogical approach that supports humanistic, democratic, and inclusive literary education.

Abstract

The traditional value system of estô, which emphasizes selfless service, solidarity, and respect within the blater Madura community, confronts challenges in its dissemination and adaptation in the digital era. This study aims to examine the influence of estô within the blater community, with a specific focus on the role of the kiai in guiding these values for Islamic communication and education. This study utilized a qualitative descriptive exploratory methodology, with data collected through interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that digital linguistics plays a significant role in expanding religious understanding; however, challenges persist in maintaining conformity with correct Islamic principles. The value system of estô can be preserved in the digital era through appropriate adaptation, where technology has the potential to enrich religious education when balanced with the judicious oversight of the kiai. This research contributes to the development of technology-based Islamic education and provides recommendations for integrating digital platforms with Islamic principles in pedagogical contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover environmental conservation messages contained in Zawawi Imron's literary works through an ecosemantic approach. Ecosemantics, as a branch of ecological linguistics, focuses on the relationship between the meaning of language, nature, and culture. Zawawi Imron, a poet known as the "Sea Poet," has produced many ecologically nuanced works, representing the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, particularly in the context of Madurese coastal culture. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques on selected poems by Zawawi Imron. The results of the study indicate that these works are full of conservation messages such as calls to protect the sea, care for the land, maintain local wisdom, and warnings against environmental damage caused by human activity. Through the poet's distinctive diction, metaphors, and imagery, these messages are not only aesthetic, but also ethical and ecological. This study concludes that literature can be an important medium in building ecological awareness and strengthening environmental conservation values rooted in local culture.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the characteristics of the TBLT approach and its potential integration in learning to read Japanese (dokkai); describe the digitization of learning that can support the effectiveness of TBLT in Japanese reading skills (dokkai); and prepare a conceptual design for the implementation of digital-based TBLT that can be implemented in the context of dokkai learning in higher education. Using a conceptual research approach and literature review, this article provides a theoretical basis and direction for the implementation of digital task-based reading learning. The results show that in the context of dokkai, tasks designed according to the characteristics of the TBLT approach can be activities such as responding to Japanese news by making personal opinions, compiling a summary of a group reading, comparing two informational texts, or compiling a concept map based on the content of the reading. Then the use of digital technology is able to strengthen the implementation of TBLT, especially in the context of reading learning. Technology allows students to access authentic texts in multimodal form (text, videos, infographics), process information collaboratively, and express the results of understanding in creative formats such as blogs, podcasts, or videos. Furthermore, a conceptual model for the application of digital-based TBLT in dokkai learning in higher education was formulated. The model includes five main components: (1) authentic reading task selection, (2) integration of task support technologies, (3) collaboration in task completion, (4) reflection and metacognition, and (5) formative feedback.

Abstract

The meaning of freedom for a woman does not only include equality in terms of work, opinion, or decision-making, but also the right to live free from patriarchal views, sexual violence, and subordination. Existentialist feminism presents as a critique of patriarchal domination and the labeling of the other or "other" against the position of women. This study aims to examine the existence of women in the short story "Women Who Married Their Own Bodies" by M Rifdal Ais Annafis using Simone De Beauvoir's existentialist feminism approach, while also exploring its potential as critical literacy material in future literary education. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with library study data collection techniques and reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses content analysis with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the female characters in the short story experience social and family pressure, but try to resist through existential awareness and affirmation of their bodies and choices. The phenomenon of subordination against women is also found, revealed through the exposure of cases of murder and harassment of teenage girls. Thus, this research not only expands the study of existentialist feminism in literature, but also contributes to the development of literary education that is inclusive, reflective, and responsive to issues of gender equality in the current and future social context.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structural metaphors employed by second-hand fashion product shop hosts on live commerce. The qualitative research was carried out by collecting data through the free-participation listening technique on live commerce activities, then continuing with semi-structured interviews with live commerce shop hosts. Live commerce used as a place to collect data was Shopee Live. The collected data was checked for data validity through language expert validation. The present study employed data analysis techniques from the cognitive semantics perspective. The findings indicated that cross-medium communication during the procurement and disposition of secondhand fashion products in live commerce fosters a distinct personification tendency in the conceptualization of "FASHION PRODUCT IS HUMAN." This conceptualization enables sellers of second-hand fashion products to employ human attributes, including body parts, physical condition, and socioeconomic status, as metaphors to portray the state of the product or to create a favorable impression. This study provides novel insights for individuals or entities engaged in the sale of second-hand fashion products through live streaming. It demonstrates that the utilization of metaphors is not only crucial for articulating product condition, but also for fostering character development, nurturing relationships, and sustaining the engagement of online shoppers.
