PERDIKAN journal focuses on community engagement program and the manuscript is about applied knowledge or science in community to advance theories, research and practices related to all forms of outreach and engagement. Community engagement means services to society, applying of knowledge or science and technology based on their field, increasing the capacity of society and community empowerment. The PERDIKAN journal draws on existing issues from those varieties of field. This includes highlighting innovation of community empowerment, and reporting on engaged research, community-based research, action research, and community services, as well as improving the knowledge and practice in the field of purposive community engagement. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. PERDIKAN particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows:1) Community Services, People/Society, and Local Food; 2) Less Developed Region; 3) Student Community Services; 4) Training for Sustainable Development; 5) Community Empowerment, Social Access possiblity, including Environmental Issues.

Abstract

Welfare is an order in social life where people feel prosperous, healthy, and peaceful. In terms of the reach of development for the community to meet the necessities of life, one of which is community empowerment through home renovation assistance. The problem of failing to meet the needs of proper housing for residents is a strong indicator of the not-yet prosperous condition of some residents of Mundurejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. This activity involves related parties in making it happen, especially from social institutions established at the service location. The essence of this empowerment is to help residents who belong to the du'afa so that they can have an equal standard of living in terms of housing. This service uses the Empowerment-Based Research method, a community service space for empowerment based on research results in Mundurejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. The house renovation assistance program aims to help people experiencing poverty who do not have decent homes live comfortably and safely. The result of this house renovation assistance was the implementation of the renovation of two houses owned by two residents of Mundurejo Village. They have become more livable houses, as well as the realization of the social awareness of Mundurejo Village in preserving cooperation activities as positive social capital. (Kesejahteraan hidup merupakan tatanan dalam penghidupan sosial di mana orang-orang merasakan keadaan yang makmur, sehat, dan damai. Dalam artian terjangkaunya pembangunan untuk masyarakat demi memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pendampingan bedah rumah. Permasalahan kurang terpenuhinya kebutuhan papan yang layak huni bagi warga adalah salah satu indikator kuat kondisi belum makmurnya sebagian warga masyarakat Desa Mundurejo Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember. Kegiatan ini melibatkan pihak-pihak terkait dalam mewujudkannya, terutama dari lembaga sosial yang telah berdiri di lokasi pengabdian. Inti dari pemberdayaan ini adalah untuk membantu warga yang tergolong kaum du'afa agar dapat sejajar taraf hidupnya dalam hal tempat tinggal. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Empowerment–Based Research, yaitu ruang pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk pemberdayaan yang berpijak pada hasil riset di Desa Mundurejo Kecamatan Umbulsari Kabupaten Jember. Tujuan dari program pendampingan bedah rumah untuk membantu warga kaum du'afa yang tidak memiliki rumah layak huni agar dapat hidup dengan nyaman dan aman. Hasil dari pendampingan bedah rumah ini adalah terlaksananya renovasi dua rumah milik dua warga Desa Mundurejo sehingga menjadi rumah yang lebih layak huni, serta terwujudnya kesadaran masyarakat Desa Mundurejo dalam melestarikan kegiatan gotong-royong sebagai modal sosial yang positif.)

Abstract

Constitution number 6 of 2014 mandates that the village government has to be independent in managing the government system. In its journey, the Village Law made significant changes to village development. However, it cannot be denied that many village heads and village officials have received the spotlight due to their failure to carry out the mandate of the Village Law. The reason is that they do not understand the rules and the low quality of human resources who manage village finances. The purpose of organizing this activity is to educate and provide adequate knowledge to village officials in managing village finances. The approach or method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which starts from a site survey, analyzing problems, developing solutions, conducting training, and finally evaluating. From the implementation of the activities, it was found that the participants gained an understanding of village financial management and provided solutions to the problems they faced. The Village Financial System (SISKEUDES) can facilitate village officials in reporting village finances so that the reported finances can be transparent and accountable. (Undang-undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 mengamanahkan agar pemerintah desa bisa mandiri dalam mengelola sistem pemerintahannya. Dalam perjalanannya, UU Desa memberi perubahan cukup signifikan terhadap pembangunan desa. Namun juga tidak dapat dipungkiri, banyak kepala desa beserta aparat desa yang mendapat sorotan disebabkan gagal mengemban amanah UU Desa ini. Penyebabnya karena belum memahami aturan serta rendahnya kualitas sumber daya manusia yang mengelola keuangan desa. Tujuan penyelenggaraan kegiatan ini untuk mengedukasi dan memberikan pengetahuan yang memadai kepada aparat desa Bicorong dalam mengelola keuangan desa. Adapun pendekatan atau metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang dimulai dari survei lokasi, menganalisis permasalahan, menyusun solusi, mengadakan pelatihan, dan yang terakhir evaluasi. Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan diperoleh hasil bahwa peserta memperoleh pemahaman tentang pengelolaan keuangan desa serta memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang dihadapi. Sistem Keuangan Desa (SISKEUDES) dapat mempermudah aparatur desa dalam pelaporan keungan desa sehingga keuangan yang dilaporkan dapat transparan dan akuntabel.)

Abstract

Apart from being a large religious and social capital, diverse community backgrounds, heterogeneous social and economic status, occupational professions, different levels of religious understanding, multicultural traditions, and culture are also prone to triggering conflict. Therefore, this needs to be fostered and strengthened by instilling the values of moderation in religious activities in a society that is full of tolerance, nationalism, and acceptance of local traditions and culture. Such an effort was made by the people of Serut Village through the pioneering study of the Islamic classic book, Mabadi Fiqh. With the participation research method beginning with the ideas and initiation of several religious figures and the support of the congregation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this idea continued into action and has been running consistently since March 2022. The results of a routine yellow book study are as follows: 1) ongoing development of religious awareness of the Al-Hikmah musala congregation; 2) obtaining religious understanding and religious awareness based on religious moderation as religious reinforcement; and 3) an increasingly strong atmosphere of religious life that is peaceful, tolerant, and adapted to local culture and traditions actualized in musala jama'ah Al-Hikmah and the surrounding community. (Latar belakang masyarakat yang beragam, status sosial, ekonomi, dan juga profesi pekerjaan yang heterogen, tingkat pemahaman keagamaan berbeda, tradisi dan budaya yang multikultur, selain menjadi modal sosial agama yang besar, juga rentan memicu timbulnya konflik. Oleh karena itu, hal tersebut perlu dipupuk dan dikuatkan dengan penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi dalam kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaan di masyarakat yang sarat akan nilai toleransi, wawasan kebangsaan, penerimaan terhadap tradisi dan budaya lokal. Upaya demikian dilakukan masyarakat Desa Serut melalui rintisan kajian kitab kuning Mabadi Fikih. Dengan metode participation research diawali dengan ide dan inisiasi beberapa tokoh agama serta dukungan jemaah, di tengah masa Pandemi Covid-19, gagasan ini berlanjut hingga ke aksi dan sudah berjalan secara istiqomah sejak bulan Maret 2022. Hasil dari kajian kitab kuning secara rutin adalah sebagai berikut: 1) berlangsungnya pembangunan kesadaran keberagamaan jemaah musala Al-Hikmah, 2) didapatkannya pemahaman keagamaan dan kesadaran keagamaan berbasis moderasi beragama sebagai penguatan keagamaan, dan 3) semakin kukuhnya suasana kehidupan beragama yang damai, toleran, dan adapted dengan budaya dan tradisi lokal teraktualisasi pada musala jama’ah Al-Hikmah dan masyarakat sekitar.)
