Abstract

Pesantren has been believed to be a form of indigenous educational system in Indonesia. The history and nature of pesantren have both shown that there is a good relation between pesantren and the society. This will be the focus of the study. It would investigate the notion of how pesantren is related to the wider community, and what are its strategies to keep the community in touch with it? All this will be discussed with referring particularly to the case of pesantren Sidogiri and its already-existing unit called public relation unit. Qualitative in its nature, the paper is phenomenological in its approach. It assumes that generally speaking, any pesantren in Indonesia would –in the beginning- run by accident, and not by design. But as it grows, it becomes as modern as any advanced educational institution would be. Hence, the paper will show that pesantren Sidogiri is aware of the importance of imagebuilding, and that it consciously pursues it through its software and hardware mechanism. The paper will also show that the surrounding community and the alumni are in fact part of the pesantren’s network to build a better image.

Abstract

The development of civilization depends on the potential of human resourcesis managing. Human resource potential will be maximized when supported by advanced education. In other say, between education and civilization are the two things are directly proportional. Therefore, civilized nations provide dedicated space for education. The more space for the higher education of civilization that will be engraved. Opposite, a civilization that is weak because education does not have a dequate space. The essential values that includes the eighteen character value that discourse is not just a slogan but also requires real implementation and embedded in the character of students, which it could only be integrated through a learning process, a role model and habitus in education through the role of teacher. In genealogy, this article will examine the role of teacher in instilling the value of the character as the support base of civilization, carried out through five major roles namely: transferring, transforming, modeling, transcending, and inspiring. Characteristics of organizational culture between one institution to another is not the same, and each uses a basic value as a reference act; value is an intangible aspect that can move the organizational elements forming organizational culture in a long time. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the analysis of financial ratio to the company’s stock and value (Tobins’Q). Samples in this research are metal and chemical industry manufacturing companies which are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2008–2012 periods by using purposive sampling method. The statistic test method is using the multiple linear regressions analysis in this research. Current Ratio, Total Assets Turn Over, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Price Earnings Ratio are used as independent variables in this research, stock return and company’s value (Tobins’Q) are used as dependent variables. The result of research shows that current ratio has no significant influence to the stock return and Tobins’Q. Total Assets Turn Over has no significant influence to the stock return but it has significant influence to the Tobins’Q while Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Price Earnings Ratio have significant influence to the stock return and Tobins’Q.Keywords: Financial Ratio, Company Performance, Stock Return, and Tobins’Q.

However, the boarding school also innovations in the form of public school founded in boarding schools so that students or graduates of the boarding school has a graduate diploma equivalent to non pesantren. In addition, efforts to require students to stay in the boarding school is also important, because schools are a good place to inheritance traditions. Abstract

Culture is dynamic rather than rigid and static. Culture is the implementation of state of mind and normative values of the society. The culture of organization at schools is socialized through internalization of common beliefs and values such as trust, behaviors or attitudes and symbols upon which the norms of collective behaviors are based. Successful internalization of those common values and norms will create secure and conducive working environments among the members, which eventually enhance their organizational commitments and loyalties. In other words, a strong organizational culture will provide the required structures and controls without heavily relying on formal bureaucracies which in many cases can discourage motivation and innovation.Keywords: Budaya Organisasi, Nilai

Keywords: Role of Educators, Nation's Civilization, Character Education. Abstrak: Maju mundurnya peradaban suatu bangsa tergantung pada potensi sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang mengelolanya. Potensi SDM akan maksimal manakala ditopang oleh pendidikan yang maju. Tak salah jika kekuatan pendidikan merupakan penopang peradaban bangsa yang utama. Antara pendidikan dan peradaban merupakan dua hal yang berbanding lurus. Oleh karena itu bangsa yang beradab memberikan ruang khusus untuk pendidikan. Semakin banyak ruang untuk pendidikan maka semakin tinggi peradaban yang akan diukir. Sebaliknya, peradaban yang lemah dikarenakan pendidikan tidak mempunyai ruang yang memadai. Nilai-nilai esensial yang meliputi delapan belas nilai karakter bukan sekadar slogan yang diwacanakan melainkan membutuhkan implementasi nyata dan tertanam dalam karakter peserta didik, yang mana hal tersebut hanya bisa diintegrasikan melalui proses pembelajaran, suri tauladan dan habitus dalam dunia pendidikan melalui peran pendidik. Secara genealogi, artikel ini akan mengkaji peran pendidik dalam menanamkan nilai karakter sebagai penopang dasar peradaban bangsa, dilakukan melalui lima peran utama yakni: transferring, transforming, modelling, transcending, dan inspiring. Dalam proses pendidikan, kelima peran tersebut bersifat integrative-mutually inclusive. Kata kunci: Peran Pendidik, Peradaban Bangsa, Pendidikan Karakter.

Abstract

The institutional development can be done by any strategies, one of them are creating new innovation called as blue ocean strategy. Blue ocean strategy is theway to develops the institution without had to quarrel in the strict zone with another institution. Its different with red zone strategy determining the birth of new market space or different innovation has been owned. So, this strategy is more emphasize how the institutions have not to conquer the competition using the vis á vis to the rival. The study of this article is about using Blue ocean strategy at public relation in developing the institution since the beginning the statuses change of STAIN Tulungagung to IAIN Tulungagung, 2013. This paper approaches qualitative research which is focused on the strategy of developing IAIN Tulungagung institution through the new innovation: creating of the value innovation, recruiting new students intensively established the out of box edu-fair event, branding, establishing the advance program and promoting the institution, developing the human capital. All of those new innovations are blue ocean strategy has been done by IAIN Tulungagung according to different four steps of work scheme profits such as Decrease-Delete-Create-Increase becomes Passive-Save-Create-Increase.

Abstract

Procrastination is a tendency to delay the completion of tasks by doing other activities that are not useful so that the task becomes obstructed, not completed on time, and often too late. These academic tasks include the task of writing papers, reading, studying exams, attending meetings (lectures), administrative duties, and overall academic performance. This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulated learning, parenting styles, and the enrollment years on the academic procrastination of the student of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Science IAIN Tulungagung. This was an ex-post facto study employing the quantitative approach. The research population comprised students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Science IAIN Tulungagung, in the enrolment years of 2017-2018 with a total of 3,728 students. The sample was using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaires, and documentation, they were analyzed by means of the multiple regression technique. The results of the study at a significance level of 5% are as follows; There is a significant negative effect of the self-regulated learning on the academic procrastination indicated by a regression coefficient of -0.601 (p 0.05). There is a significant negative effect of the authoritative parenting style on the academic procrastination, indicated by a regression coefficient of -4.082 (p 0.05). The negative regression coefficient indicates that the academic procrastination due to the authoritative parenting style is lower than that due to the permissive parenting style. The study also shows that the student in the enrolment years of 2015 has a significant positive effect on the academic procrastination, indicated by a regression coefficient of 2.381 (p 0.05). Meanwhile, the student in the enrolment years of 2012 indicates a significant positive effect on the academic procrastination with a regression coefficient of 2.112 (p 0.05). And there is a significant effect of self-regulated learning, parenting styles, and enrolment years as an aggregate on the academic procrastination, indicated by a determination coefficient (R2) of 0.474 (p 0.05).
