Abstract

This paper presents the electronic control of a solar hybrid egg incubator using Arduino. In the process of hatching eggs, there are 2 methods, namely naturally incubated by the parent itself and artificially by using an egg incubator. In general, egg incubators utilize electrical energy, where we know that electrical energy from fossils is expected to run out in 2020. In this solar hybrid egg incubator, it is able to minimize the use of electricity and is environmentally friendly which uses 2 energies, namely, sunlight as a source of heat in the process of hatching eggs and electrical energy with a heater as the actuator to back up when the heat absorbed does not meet the needs. In the process of hatching eggs, heat energy is required in the form of a temperature of 29 to 34 degrees Celsius. In the process of absorbing sunlight, heat storage accumulators are used directly. By using a heat storage accumulator and utilizing this heat energy directly, it can optimize energy from the sun by 80%, in contrast to solar panels that absorb solar energy and convert solar energy to electrical energy in a maximum of 20%.

Abstract

Research has been done for effect of heavy metals lead, chrom and cadmium in waste water after processing from UII Integrated Laboratory waste water processed team design, determination with Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer. Waste water processed team design used filter like sponge and palm fiber, absorbent as activated carbon and kaolin. Result of heavy metals determination after processed show that lead down 17%, chrom down 100% and cadmium is not detected.

Abstract

Research on the absorption and accumulation of copper and lead metals in laboratory wastewater has been conducted. The purpose of this research was to provide solutions on handling and processing of heavy metal waste in the laboratory. The phytoremediation method was used for this purpose, using the apu-apu plant as a hyperaccumulator plant. The absorption and accumulation of copper and lead metals happened faster on the beginning of the phytoremediation process. After the phytoremediation process, decrease in copper metal concentration on the fifth day was 85,58% and decrease in lead metal concentration was 79,55%.

Abstract

Dalam usaha untuk memperkecil terjadinya kecelakaan yang terjadi di laboratorium Program Studi Teknik Elekronika Jurusan Teknik Elekro Politeknik Negeri Malang, kami akan melakukan penelitian sejauh mana pemahaman Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Elekronika mengetahui rambu-rambu dan tanda peringatan yang berupa gambar/symbol K3.Penelitian dilakukan dalam bentuk menyebar kuesioner secara online yang berisi tentang pertanyaan-pertanyaan pilihan ganda, isi dari kuesioner terdiri dari pengertian k3, symbol, perilaku diruang kerja, tindakan bila terjadi kecelakaan kerja serta symbol perintah maupun larangan.Data yang masuk secara online dibuat secara tabulasi dan kemudian ditampilkan dalam bentuk bar card untuk mempermudah pembacaannya. Data disebar ke Mahasiswa tingkat I sampai dengan tingkat III dengan jumlah responden 106. Abstract

Various kinds of studies or research conducted at the Marine Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences, Hasanuddin University mostly use microbial isolates as test materials. Therefore, it is necessary to collect, store and maintain microbes properly. Important bacteria that are often used are Vibrio alginolyticus and Vibrio harveyi. Both of these bacteria require good handling and proper preservation so that their viability is maintained. So it is important to do research to find the right method of storing V. alginolyticus and V. harveyi bacteria in TSB (Tryptic Soy Broth) and glycerol medium. The method used in this research is an experimental method using 2 types of bacteria and 4 levels of treatment, each treatment with 3 replications. The treatments consisted of TSB + glycerol 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% stored at -20ºC for 56 days. The results showed that V. harveyi was effective and had the highest growth power during storage in TSB media with 10% glycerol at -20 ° C, while V. alginolyticus on TSB media with glycerol 10% -15% at -20 ° C. The effective storage time for V.harveyi and V. alginolyticus bacteria is on day 14 to day 28.

Abstract

Program studi yang ada di Politeknik ATK tiap semester menjalankan praktikum di Laboratorium Pengujian Fisis. Pranata Laboratorium Pendidikan yang menempati Laboratorium tersebut harus kompeten dalam mengoperasikan peralatan yang ada. Selain itu juga mampu memahami sifat maupun karakter dari bahan yang digunakan untuk praktikum maupun penelitian dosen. Kegiatan praktikum Pengujian Mekanik meliputii kuat tarik, elongation dan Modulus Young.Material yang digunakan sebagai bahan praktikum pengujian meliputi raw material berupa kulit dan produk yang sudah jadi.Uji mekanik kuat tarik merupakan kemampuan bahan atau sampel uji menerima beban tanpa adanya kerusakan dari sampel tersebut. Elongation merupakan salah satu bagian uji mekanik yaitu terjadinya pertambahan panjang maksimum sampel bahan uji sebelum putus sedangkan Modulus Young merupakan ukuran kekakuan suatu bahan atau material yang merupakan perbandingan antara tegangan dengan regangan aksial dalam deformasi yang elastis dinyatakan dalam satuam MPa.Tujuan pengujian mekanik untuk mengetahui sifat mekanis sehingga diketuahui kekuatan dan kualitas dari sampel nantinya sebelum di buat produk barang Bahan penelitian adalah kulit pickel sebagai sampel pungujian yang telah mengalami perlakuan modifikasi nanopartikel dengan N.Ag dan penambahan MMTS. Kulit setelah ada perlakukan kemudian dilakukan uji mekanik meliputi pengujian kuat tarik, elongation dan Modulus Young. Sampel bahan di buat specimen sesuai dengan metode SNI. 06.1795-1990. Alat yang digunakan Tensil Strength merk Gester, caliper, Thicknes,penggaris, tinta perak,cutter,cuttingmat.Hasil pengujian didapat untuk pengujian kuat tarik kulit pickle sebagai blanko 3,46, elongation 36,34,Modulus Young 9,52. Sampel pickel N.Ag kuat tarik 9,32, elongation 33,47, Modulus Young 27,83. Pickel -MMTS kuat tarik 3.43, elongation 52.30, Modulus Young 6,57. Pickel-N Ag MMTS kuat tarik 0,35, elongation 22,59, Modulus Young 1,57 dan pickel MMTS-N.Ag kuat tarik 1,88, elongation 2,84 dan Modulus Young 66,12. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh penambahan MTMS pada kulit pickel akan mempengaruhi kemuluran kulit dan penambahan N-Ag MTMS mempengaruhi kekuatan mekanik Modulus Young.

Abstract

Marine algae (brown algae) have been considered as a source of bioactive compounds as they may be used as food, material for industry and herbal medicine. The objective of this study was to determine the cytotoxic activity of methanolic extracts of brown algae on breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7 cells) as anticancer candidates. Preperation of methanolic extract of brown algae have been done by using maseration method. The dry brown algae was extracted by using methanol, filtered, then dried. Cytotoxic activity test was conducted by using MTT assay on MCF-7 cells. The result showed that methanolic extract of Turbinaria ornata, T. deccurrens and Sargassum myriocystum had cytotoxic activity on MCF-7 cells with IC50 value of 221,88, 268,34 and 250,23 μg/ ml.

Abstract

In the car, when we drive, we often know that a driver smokes in the car, the cigarette will produce smoke that is detrimental to the health of those who inhale it. Such as carbon monoxide gas that is inhaled will cause health problems until poisoning to result in death. Lack of oxygen levels in the body for the gas inhaler also results in drowsiness and can lead to accidents.To minimize this, the car must be equipped with a carbon monoxide sensor and an oxygen level sensor connected to the power window. So that the power window can open automatically according to the speed of the drive, i.e. when the sensor detects the target when the car is not driving (0km / h), the window will open 100% (40cm), when the car is driving at 1-40km / h, the car window will open by 75% (30cm), and when the car is traveling at a speed of 41-80km / h, the car window will open by 50% (20cm), and when the car is traveling more than 81km / h the car window will open by 25% (10cm).

Abstract

Power supplies are generally used to supply electronic devices that require DC current (Enny, 2016). The use of a power supply in a practicum with the material "Transistor Characteristics" in an analog electronics laboratory requires 3 voltage variations (5,9,12 volts) simultaneously, meaning that if one class is divided into 5 groups, 15 power supplies are used, while the availability is limited. This research aims to determine the voltage divider method, the resistance value and to analyze the responsible voltage for the change in resistance.Variable resistance to change the output voltage value of the Integrated Circuit (IC) regulator to produce a voltage of 5,9,12 volts. The change in output voltage will be analyzed against changes in resistance. The ripple voltage limit is 2%, so a filter is needed. The output current from the regulator IC is in the order of milli amperes, so it needs to be strengthened to 1 ampere to be used in a practicum with the theme "Transistor Characteristics".It is expected that the results of this study are to improve the performance of a 5 volt power supply having a voltage output of 5,9,12 volts simultaneously, so that the need for power supply for the “Transistor Characteristics” practicum which initially requires 15 to 5.
