Abstract

The social environment gives a lot of color to adolescents in Aek Urban Village, Padangsidimpuan City. This can cause the mental condition of adolescents often unstable. Teenagers in Aek Village look like they hang out with peers who don't have a strong religious spirit. Apart from environmental influences, it is also caused by the influence of the economic environment. The economic situation of families in this village is that many poor people are unable to respond to the needs and desires of their teenagers. This encourages teenagers to become naughty, and many are lazy to practice religious teachings

Abstract

This study is an attempt to find out the perceptions of parents about higher education for girls in the village of Simatorkis, Kec. Dolok Kab. Padanglawas North. The question the author wants to pursue is the perception of parents in providing higher education opportunities to their daughters. After systematic research, it can be seen that parents' perceptions of higher education for their daughters are as follows: Higher education is important for girls to be able to compete with an increasingly modern era, to be successful people, knowledgeable and well-known in society that will become proud. Factors that hinder higher education for girls in Simatorkis village are social culture, economic conditions, psychological factors. Reasons and considerations of parents providing opportunities for higher education for their children is the desire to change their destiny, and awareness of parents who think that higher education is important for boys and girls without having to make a difference

Abstract

This article describes how to become a good parent for the children. Become a good parent need knowledge, it  must search by theirself with reading book, following parenting class.  In this writing the author share some reward from the god has already given for human.  It called learning reward, consisten reward, direction reward, listening reward and the last effective listening. All the reward can be applied for educate in creating good children.  The parents need patience to practice the five reward , the result from  effort the parents for conduct all the reward is a good children or Saleh. They will grow up by creative, selfconfidence,  good character and they have a good relationship with their parents. Their parents is their friend, it created strong good character and excellent generation. Be a good parent to create a good children.

Abstract

The plunge of women in the world of work creates new problems, where working-women escpecially housewives will be time-consuming for the family, this creates problems with family harmony. On the basis of the above problems, this study wants to know how to empower women, why women want to work, is not a problem for the harmony of their family. This research was carried out in the Padangmatinggi Lestari village with a qualitative approach. The instruments used were observation sheets and interviews, where the subjects used as informants were mothers who worked as teachers, midwives and employees. Then analyze it using longwe analysis. Based on the data obtained it can be concluded that the empowerment of career women seen from welfare has been able to improve family welfare, but its awareness of gender roles and access is still limited as well as its power in making decisions still dominated by men (husbands). This is in line with the motivating factors for women to work, generally to improve the family economy, not because of awareness of their rights as women. Based on the criteria included in the theoretical study and the results of interviews with informants, it can be said that the families of career women in the Padangmatinggi Lestari village are categorized as prosperous families

Abstract

Matrilinial is one of the oldest kinship systems found in Indonesia, and the world. This system adheres to kinship systems and inheritance systems from the maternal lineage. in the matrilinial kinship system, women have a special place and play a significant role in their community compared to women who adhere to the patrilinieal system. In the matrilineal kinship system, men and women have their respective obligations and responsibilities according to their gender. In this case they have a balanced position, namely men occupying positions as supervisors and protectors who are given an honorable position as mamak (mother's brother), while women have access as ownership. In a sense, women get privileged places, and men become powerful figures. However, in making decisions, men and women have the same position
