<![CDATA[The Makarya community is one of the youth communities that shelters the needs of unemployed youth. During this time, the Makarya Community has joined hands with Lakpesdam NU Lumajang to carry out unemployment handling programs. This study aims to find out how guidance is used in overcoming unemployment. This study uses qualitative methods with a Case Study approach. The study shows that Career Guidance based on religious services by Lakpesdam NU and the Makarya Community in dealing with unemployed youth, that is, inviting unemployed youth by guiding them to understand and evaluate themselves, and then realize and understand the values within themselves and their communities, know the work environment related to their potential, find and be able overcome obstacles, and lastly plan for the future of his career. <![CDATA[This study is conducted to find out the implementation of Ta'zir in improving the discipline of santri(student) in Raudlatur Rohmaniah Islamic boarding school in Suko Lumajang. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research, namely an approach to behavior, phenomena, events, problems or certain circumstances that became objects investigation; which the results are all descriptions of sentence that explain certain understandings. The results of the study shows that the implementation of Ta'zir in Raudlatul Rohmaniyah Islamic boarding school in Suko Lumajang has been quite effective in developing the discipline of santri in learning as well as in preparingthem to associate within thesociety.]]>

<![CDATA[Tulisan ini berisi tentang sebuah gagasan bagaimana sebenarnya para santri (baca juga kyai) merespon fenomena baru yang terjadi di kisaran penyelenggaraan pemilukada serentak di Indonesia. Tentu, anomali pemilikada serentak dirasakan sejak berimbasnya Pilkada Jakarta yang kemudian memiliki dampak terhadap daerah-daerah lain. Daerah-daerah yang sejatinya tidak memiliki sejarah konflik identitas; baik itu keagamaan maupun kebudayaan. Akhirnya, merasakan juga bagaimana daerah mereka terpolarisasi menjadi dua bentuk pertentangan di tataran bawah. Oleh karena itu, para tokoh masyarakat ? termasuk para kyai dan santri ? punya tanggung jawab agar isu ini tidak terus berjalan hingga pada pelaksanaan Pemilukada yang akan datang. Serta memberikan dampak positif, bahwa penyelenggaraan pemilu serentak adalah bentuk kebijakan pemerintah demi kondisi yang lebih stabil serta efesien dari sisi penggunaan anggaran negara. Pada kesimpulannya, para kyai tidak mempersoalkan pilkada serentak ini dijalankan, asalkan tidak mengulangi beberapa proses kampanye politik yang menciptakan konflik. Para kyai juga berpandangan, dalam politik, Islam memiliki ruang terbuka untuk melakukan inovasi penyelenggaraan suksesi kepemimpinan.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence and burnout on the Employee performance of Institut Agama Islam Syarifuddin (Syarifuddin Islamic Institute), Wonorejo, Lumajang. The instrument used in this study is the Performance approach based on Sabine Sonnentag?s theory (2010); the applied scale-based emotional intelligence is one that developed by Daniel Goleman (2003) and the employed scale of burnout is a scale formulated by Maslach and Jackson (1982). The result indicates the existence of effect of emotional intelligence and burnout on the employees? performance.]]>

<![CDATA[This research started based on the health warning label change on the Indonesian cigarette packaging. A qualitative approach used in this research with a reception analysis method. The data on this research collected by a semi-structurized interview about the health warning labels on the cigarette package. The result shown there is no difference between smokers and ex-smokers when they perceived the message on the health warning labels. Their reception toward the message are fully formed by each social experiences, culture, current social facts, society, perception and knowledges around them. The reception of the informants then categorized by Stuart Hall?s Reception Analyze theory which consists of three readings: dominant-hegemonic, negotiation and opposition.]]>
