Abstract

Academic resilience plays a critical role in supporting students' academic achievement and psychological well-being. Yet, empirical evidence comparing this construct between urban and regency district students within the Indonesian context remains limited. This study aimed to examine whether differences in academic resilience exist between senior high school students in urban Makassar and those in regency districts of South Sulawesi Province. A quantitative comparative approach was employed involving 79 senior high school students (9 from the city and 70 from regency districts), with data collected using the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) and analyzed using an independent samples t-test in IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results showed that regency students scored slightly higher than urban students (a difference of approximately 0.632 points). However, both groups predominantly fell within the moderate category (67.14% of regency students and 89.89% of urban students). They largely converged within the adequate category under hypothetical grouping (61% of regency students and 44.44% of urban students), with the difference failing to reach statistical significance. It is concluded that academic resilience does not differ substantially between urban and regency district senior high school students, indicating that place of residence is not a determining factor shaping this construct. These findings imply that efforts to enhance academic resilience should prioritize strengthening internal and external protective factors, such as self-efficacy, motivation, and social support, rather than relying on geographic classification as a basis for intervention design.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed learning environments, interaction patterns, and the study habits of students (santri), including those in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This shift challenges pesantren with limited digital learning infrastructure, requiring teachers to adapt their instruction to sustain active student participation. This study analyzes the pedagogical challenges related to student motivation and engagement in pesantren in the digital era and examines teachers' pedagogical reorientation amid limited digital facilities. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations and interviews with teachers and students. The findings show that the challenges include shifts in student character and study habits, boredom with monotonous instruction, fatigue from demanding pesantren activities, diminished attention and focus, behavioral management difficulties, intergenerational differences, and a lack of digital facilities. Teachers have introduced instructional variations, such as discussions and presentations, that give students more room to participate. Pedagogical reorientation should therefore move toward adaptive and interactive models suited to students' conditions, such as educational games, case studies, problem-solving, collaborative learning, and reflection, none of which depend on digital infrastructure. These approaches must be accompanied by communication, mentoring, and the reinforcement of spiritual values, morality (akhlak), and ethics (adab). Ultimately, the relevance of pesantren education in the digital era depends less on technology integration than on teachers' ability to adapt their pedagogy to students' conditions and available resources without compromising pesantren values.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social commerce has expanded market access, generated income, and created new entrepreneurial opportunities for women. However, unilateral seller account deactivations, ambiguous violation notifications, appeal rejections, and the withholding of funds can create new economic vulnerabilities. This study analyzes the practice of account deactivation on TikTok Shop and its impact on women's economic inclusion from the perspective of fiqh muamalah (Islamic commercial jurisprudence). Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with female TikTok Shop sellers who had experienced account restrictions or deactivations, observation of seller community discourse, and analysis of the platform's terms and policies. The data were analyzed thematically and assessed using the principles of justice (al-'adl), mutual consent (al-taradhi), transparency in contracts, the prohibition of uncertainty (gharar), the protection of wealth (hifz al-mal), and public interest (maslahah). The findings indicate that deactivation notices often lack specific explanations, that appeals are perceived as offering limited room for clarification, and that the loss of market access and delayed fund disbursement disrupt cash flow and business continuity. From a fiqh muamalah perspective, a platform's authority to impose sanctions must be accompanied by explicit justifications, verifiable evidence, fair grievance mechanisms, and certainty in the settlement of sellers' financial rights. This study contributes to the discourse on contemporary fiqh muamalah and to the formulation of fair and transparent digital platform governance that supports women's economic inclusion.

Abstract

Geometry learning, especially tube materials, requires students to understand the characteristics of building spaces, visualize three-dimensional objects, and relate mathematical concepts to the context of daily life. This condition shows the need for learning innovations that combine digital technology and local wisdom. This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of GeoGebra integrated with local Acehnese wisdom on students' mathematical understanding ability on tube materials and compare the results with conventional learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi experiment methods and Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The research sample consists of 24 students in class VIIA as an experimental class and 23 students in class VIID as a control class selected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument was in the form of a descriptive test in the form of a pretest and post-test, while data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, and Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that the use of Geogebra based on local Acehnese wisdom had a significant effect on the mathematical comprehension ability of students with Asymp scores. Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 (<0.05). The average score of students in the experimental class increased from 15.92 in the pre-test to 59.00 in the post-test, with a gain score of 43.08. The results of the Mann-Whitney U Test also showed an Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05), which indicates that Geogebra-assisted learning based on local Acehnese wisdom is more effective than conventional learning. These findings show that the integration of GeoGebra and Acehnese local wisdom has the potential to support contextual tube learning by linking mathematical concepts and local culture.
