Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of video-based education on anxiety levels among patients undergoing pre-cardiac catheterization. The research employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, which is commonly used to compare paired pretest–posttest data in similar intervention studies. The findings indicated a statistically significant difference in anxiety levels before and after the provision of video-based education (p-value 0,000). In conclusion, video-based education was associated with a reduction in anxiety levels among patients scheduled for cardiac catheterization   Keywords: Anxiety, Cardiac Catheterization, Education, Video

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using social media as a means of health education on changes in adolescents' knowledge levels regarding the impact of teenage pregnancy. The method used was a quantitative experimental study with a pre-test and post-test. The results of the t-test showed that social media influenced adolescents' knowledge regarding the impact of teenage pregnancy. There was a difference in knowledge before and after receiving health education in the form of social media and its influence on changes in adolescents' knowledge regarding the impact of teenage pregnancy, with a p-value (0.000) < 0.05 or a calculated Z-value (6.113) > Z-table (1.96). In conclusion, social media significantly influenced changes in adolescents' knowledge levels regarding the impact of teenage pregnancy, indicating that appropriate education through social media can be an effective strategy to increase their understanding.   Keywords: Education, Social Media, Knowledge, Adolescents

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of William's Flexion Exercise on the intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in female students at SMP Negeri 5 Batang Gansal, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest. The results showed a significant decrease in menstrual pain intensity after William's Flexion Exercise (p-value < 0.05), indicating that the exercise reduced menstrual pain. This study concludes that William's Flexion Exercise is effective in reducing the intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in female students at SMP Negeri 5 Batang Gansal, Indragiri Hulu Regency. It can therefore be used as an alternative non-pharmacological therapy in managing dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls.   Keywords: Dysmenorrhea, Menstrual Pain Intensity, William's Flexion Exercise

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and preoperative anxiety levels in patients undergoing cesarean section at Primaya Hospital Sukabumi. The study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 32 patients selected using a total sampling technique. The results showed that most respondents reported high levels of family support, and descriptive anxiety was mild to moderate. However, statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between family support and anxiety levels (r = -0.235; p = 0.196). In conclusion, family support has a weak and insignificant negative relationship with preoperative anxiety, necessitating a holistic approach to managing patient anxiety.   Keywords: Family Support, Anxiety, Preoperative, Cesarean Section
