Abstract

Based on Calista Roy's adaptation theory and self-determination theory, this study aims to develop a psychosocial adaptation model for hemodialysis patients, affecting their quality of life. The method used was a non-probability sampling technique through purposive sampling, with a sample size of 119 hemodialysis patients at the Bina Husada Cipta Canthi Clinic (BHCC) and the Semesta Mandiri Clinic (KSM), calculated using the rule of thumb. Statistical analysis used SEM-PLS. The results showed that stimulus factors, interdependence, self-concept-resilience, and role function influenced quality of life. At the same time, basic psychological needs did not affect the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. This study concludes that the psychosocial adaptation model for hemodialysis patients' quality of life is valuable. Therefore, dialysis unit staff are expected to use this psychosocial adaptation development guideline to improve the quality of comprehensive hemodialysis unit services for hemodialysis patients.   Keywords: Adaptation, Hemodialysis, Quality of Life, Psychological, Social

Abstract

This study aims to analyze nurses' behavior in implementing the PPI program at Anugerah Sehat Afiat Regional General Hospital, Depok City. The method used was descriptive qualitative, using Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with purposive sampling techniques. Ten informants, consisting of five ward nurses and five members of the PPI Committee, participated. The results showed that nurses' behavior in PPI was influenced by: irregular program evaluation, supporting factors such as training and the role of superiors, constraints such as workload, limited time and PPE, varying experiences between units, interventions such as posters and feedback, perceptions of infection risk, and differing work cultures. Conclusions indicate the need for strategies to strengthen supervision, ongoing training, and cross-unit coordination to improve compliance with the PPI program. The study design used Explanatory Research with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 157 nurses at the Cibinong Regional General Hospital level PK 3. The number of samples in this study was 157 respondents. Data collection used research instruments that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used statistical applications including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results of the study, all variables were proven to have a significant effect on job satisfaction (p < 0.05). High motivation increased the chance of job satisfaction by 569 times, followed by interpersonal relationships (111 times), supervision (76 times), and light workload (62 times). A comfortable work environment, career development, and management support also made a positive contribution. Conversely, the perception of dissatisfaction with satisfaction significantly decreased job satisfaction. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of strength exercise on reducing acute symptoms in rheumatoid arthritis. The design used is a Quasi Experiment with a two-group pretest-posttest model. The study sample consisted of 74 respondents divided into two groups: 37 respondents in the strength exercise group and 37 respondents in the education group. The sampling technique used random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there were differences in the degree of knee flexion range of motion before and after doing Strength exercise in weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The increase occurred in week 1 (p value = 0.046), week 3 (p value = 0.005) and 4 (p value = 0.001). differences in pulse frequency before and after doing Strength exercise in weeks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The increase occurred in week 1 (p value = 0.046), week 2 (p value = 0.33), week 3 (p value = 0.005) and 4 (p value = 0.001). There was a difference in the level of knowledge of respondents before and after education. Before education, there were no respondents with good knowledge, 4 (10.8%) had sufficient knowledge, and 33 (89.2%) had poor knowledge. After education, 5 (13.5%) had good knowledge, 11 (29.7%) had sufficient knowledge, and 21 (56.8%) had poor knowledge. Conclusion: Strength exercise and education have an effect on reducing acute RA symptoms. Recommendation: Strength exercise is a good independent nursing intervention to improve patient muscle strength.   Keywords: Strength exercise, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Reduction of Acute Symptoms

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Virtual Reality digital therapy on anxiety in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The research method used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The results showed a decrease in anxiety scores with an average difference (post-pre) of 10.267. The Paired Sample t-Test yielded a t-value of 0.785, df = 29, and a significance value (p-value) of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a significant effect of VR digital therapy on reducing anxiety in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. In conclusion, Virtual Reality digital therapy is effective in reducing anxiety in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This intervention can be used as a non-pharmacological complementary therapy to support the psychological care of cancer patients.   Keywords: Anxiety, Cancer, Chemotherapy, Virtual Reality

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Modern Hydrocolloid Dressing to improve skin integrity in school-age children with dermatitis. The method used was quantitative with a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the use of Modern Hydrocolloid Dressing significantly improved skin integrity in school-age children with dermatitis. In the treatment group, the average dermatitis score decreased from 1.84 (SD = 0.473) to 1.16 (SD = 0.624) with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, no significant changes were found in the control group; the average score decreased by only 0.12 points (p = 0.185), with the majority of respondents remaining in the moderate category. This confirms that conventional dressings, or no intervention, are less effective than Modern Hydrocolloid Dressing. In conclusion, the use of Modern Hydrocolloid Dressing has been shown to significantly improve skin integrity in school-age children with dermatitis.   Keywords: School-Age Dermatitis, Modern Hydrocolloid Dressing, Skin Integrity
