Abstract

An academic information system is a system designed to process educational data. IGracias Mobile is a theoretical information system application that can be used flexibly by Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology students. iGracias aims to provide information about lectures to students. iGracias can be downloaded via google playstore. Based on a questionnaire involving students of the Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology, they found several problems with the iGracias application so that it could be maximized to provide lecture information to students. Based on the evaluation of the current design using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, the contemporary design has a score of 58, which is classified as grade D with a bad adjective rating, so the design needs to be improved. The method used to develop and develop the user interface design on the iGracias Mobile application is the Usability Testing method with a user-centred Design approach. The results obtained from this study are a new design for the iGracias Mobile application, which was made based on the respondents' suggestions and the steps involved in the UCD method. This research found that the new design's usability value has increased from 58 to 80.8, which is included in grade A with an adjective rating of excellent. Then the new design can overcome the problems in the iGracias Mobile application.

Abstract

One of the essential passive devices is the Bandpass Filter. Since the frequencies used for this technology are diverse and each frequency has different characteristics that can affect signal quality, the Bandpass Filter is employed to filter the signals received by the antenna, ensuring that only the desired frequency signals are processed. Within the mm Wave range, 26 GHz and 28 GHz emerge as the two most relevant bands. Therefore, this paper presents the design of a schematic for a Bandpass Filter operating at mm-wave frequency (28 GHz) using Lumped-Distributed Parameters. The schematic is created using system design software, employing a standard normalized 5-pole/5th order prototyped Lowpass Chebyshev combined with a standard formalized 3-pole/3rd order prototyped Lowpass Chebyshev to control the desired bandwidth according to the design parameters. The designed Bandpass Filter at 28 GHz exhibits a Return Loss value of -281.579 dB, an Insertion Loss of -1.929E-15 dB, and a desired Bandwidth of 1 GHz

Abstract

Sugar producers can extend their sugar companies by expanding into non-sugar products. A sugarcane-based company that focuses on product diversification is electricity generation from bagasse. As the principal energy source, the cogeneration system progressively creates two distinct forms of energy (mechanical energy and thermal energy). Krebet Baru 2's sugar factory has a capacity of 5,200 TCD. Under some conditions, it can generate up to 1.5 MW of additional Power. This research aims to investigate the link between capacity and cogeneration efficiency. As a result, extra electricity may be generated forever. According to the data, capacity did not influence cogeneration efficiency. Excess Power may be acquired by optimizing steam usage, assessing inefficient energy sources, and utilizing high-pressure steam production facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a system for detecting and classifying vehicle types using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model YOLO V5 based on image recognition. This research consists of several stages, from the potential and problem stages, needs analysis, literacy studies, prototyping, system design, and system testing. The collected datasets were taken using smartphone cameras and webcams with a total of 800 image datasets, divided into two categories: training data and validation data. System testing is carried out in day and night conditions. The classification test results in daytime conditions obtained an accuracy of 93, an accuracy of 80%. The system's design for detecting and classifying vehicle types for determining parking rates based on image recognition works well. Each type of vehicle can be seen and ranked by the system.

Abstract

This study designed and built a parking information system at the Langsa City General Hospital with the aim of facilitating the management of incoming and outgoing vehicle data at the Langsa City General Hospital parking lot in Aceh. With the rapid advancement of technology, previous data management was still done manually, so it was not effective and efficient, and officers found it very difficult to know the data of incoming and outgoing vehicles. Researchers designed a computer-based information system to facilitate the management of the parking system. Methods of data collection using descriptive qualitative methods, namely observation, interviews, and literature study, and software development methods using the waterfall as well as the PHP programming language and the MYSQL database The information system created aims to make it easier for officers to manage vehicle entry and exit data at the Langsa City Regional General Hospital in Aceh.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Geographic Information System (GIS) that maps the locations of Polling Stations (TPS) for general elections in Parungkuda District. Through literature review, field observations, and interviews with relevant stakeholders, geographical data such as TPS locations and district boundaries were collected and analyzed. In this research, a web-based information system was developed using Mapbox technology to display interactive mapping of the TPS. The outcome is a system that facilitates the public in finding TPS locations and obtaining information on the number of voters and presidential candidates in each TPS. This research has benefits in terms of mapping and accessing TPS-related information, and it is recommended for further development to be widely used in general elections within Parungkuda District. This GIS can improve the efficiency of the election process and provide ease of access for voters to find the appropriate TPS based on their residence.

Abstract

Plastic bottle waste is a problem that always arises. In Indonesia, the processing of plastic bottle waste still needs to be improved. Plastic bottle waste can be converted into plastic pellets with economic value. The type of plastic and the colour must be sorted to get quality plastic pellets. A machine is designed to sort out the types of plastic bottle waste, polyethene terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethene (HDPE). The result is a prototype plastic biotol waste sorting machine with a 41 kg/hour capacity. The prototype of this machine can sort out plastic bottle waste and those not included in the plastic bottle waste category. The results show that the colour sensor and object sensor work optimally to sort plastic bottle waste according to the program.

Abstract

Sundanese is a regional language in West Java. Young people rarely use local languages, so they need to be preserved by using technology. Image processing technology can help the process of strengthening the Sundanese language and culture. Researchers developed Sundanese traditional tools because their existence is not only related to Sundanese language and terms, but also related to philosophy and local wisdom values. This application is called Smart Image Recognition and Identification of Heritage (SIRIH). The development of this android-based innovative application is based on image recognition technology with the CNN method. Based on the test results, the classification accuracy of pre-trained CNN is 98%, and val accuracy at 86%. Accuracy test results on the application show good and maximum results (90%-100%) if the item is in sufficient light, both indoors and outdoors, while dim light will reduce accuracy to around 60%-70%. Blurred images also affect accuracy by up to 50%.

Abstract

The recent surge in data science or analytics in finance is crucial for informed decision-making in financial operations. Its integration is instrumental in helping businesses mitigate operational risks, identifying and preventing potential threats such as system failures and lapses. The study methodology involves case investigations and tests utilizing K-Means, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Decision Tree algorithms. Data visualization, using various graphical representations like graphs, diagrams, maps, and other techniques, is essential to simplify data interpretation and foster intuitive analysis. Common forms include heat maps, scatter plots, pie charts, bar graphs, line graphs, and maps, contributing significantly to presenting data comprehensively, offering insightful analyses, and achieving research objectives..

Abstract

The use of technology and information in Indonesia is widely spread. Various groups have been reached with gadgets that are pretty sophisticated and can be used for multiple purposes, not only for sending messages or news, listening to music, watching videos or films, and playing online games but can also be used as learning media, especially after the COVID-19 outbreak hit Indonesia. For about two years, educational facilities in Indonesia have been running online. Unfortunately, the use of technology in education is still not optimal. This research aims to help teachers and students optimize technology use in supporting learning and teaching activities. Using Construct 3, an application to learn English for grade 7 students of SMP/MTs was successfully created. The Basic English game contains a summary of material and practice questions that can be accessed and operated using Android on students' cell phones anywhere and anytime.
