Abstract

Dialog state tracking (DST) plays a critical role in cycle life of a task-oriented dialogue system. DST represents the goals of the consumer at each step by dialogue and describes such objectives as a conceptual structure comprising slot-value pairs and dialogue actions that specifically improve the performance and effectiveness of dialogue systems. DST faces several challenges: diversity of linguistics, dynamic social context and the dissemination of the state of dialogue over candidate values both in slot values and in dialogue acts determined in ontology. In many turns during the dialogue, users indirectly refer to the previous utterances, and that produce a challenge to distinguishing and use of related dialogue history, Recent methods used and popular for that are ineffective. In this paper, we propose a dialogue historical context self-Attention framework for DST that recognizes relevant historical context by including previous user utterance beside current user utterances and previous system actions where specific slot-value piers variations and uses that together with weighted system utterance to outperform existing models by recognizing the related context and the relevance of a system utterance. For the evaluation of the proposed model the WoZ dataset was used. The implementation was attempted with the prior user utterance as a dialogue encoder and second by the additional score combined with all the candidate slot-value pairs in the context of previous user utterances and current utterances. The proposed model obtained 0.8 per cent better results than all state-of-the-art methods in the combined precision of the target, but this is not the turnaround challenge for the submission.

Abstract

Recently, there has been a growing interest in the field of using 3D-printing technology for electrical machine manufacturing. However, almost research works have been done majorly on the 3D-printing technology of individual working parts for various electrical machines. This research presents a study of design, fabrication and testing of the protopype of permanent magnet generator using 3D-printing technology. The major parts of proposed generator are fabricated though 3D-printed materials. The stator winding of designed generator consists of 12 slots. The stator coil is designed to have 250 turns per slot and 12 pieces of neodymium magnets are used in to generate magnetic field in the rotor core. The prototype generator is tested under different condition; no-load and loaded-test. The experimental have been shown that in the no-load condition, this generator is able to generate output voltage of 3.3-64.5 V, when rotated at speed of 100-2,500 rpm. In the loaded-test, the output voltage and output current are also generated. Furthermore, it can be seen that a proposed generator can generate the output power of 4,245.28 mW, when rotated at speed of 2,500 rpm.

Abstract

OWC systems have turned into a state-of-the-art technology because of their superior performance uniqueness and its innumerable characteristic as compared to its RF. One of the OWC application is inter-satellite wireless optical communication (Is-WOC), this framework can be improved by using different ways such as advanced modulation formats and aperture diameter. We demonstrate an analysis based on the aperture diameter effect in transmission of single channel with 40 Gb/s Is-WOC system using three different modulation methods, differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) with a duty ratio to 66% and 33% and duobinary. Choosing these three modulations from various modulation format is done depending on the advantage they provide where the DPSK gives to fiber nonlinearity a powerful robustness and less susceptible to SPM and XPM and for system requirements of dispersion compensation in duobinary, it provides higher chromatic dispersion tolerance mitigate. The result shows the effect of different transmitter aperture diameter (from 2 to 20 cm) for a constant distance 200 km accomplished by quality factor and minimum BER. We conclude there is a great loss in the small aperture diameter, even in the presence of best modulation format, therefore as the aperture diameter increase the Q-factor increase, but some increased rise is linear and the other is changing from linear to non-linear in a fixed Q-factor point equal to 5.63.

Abstract

In the efficient design and functionality of complex systems, redundancy problems in systems play a key role. The consecutive-k-out-of-n:F structure, which has broad application in street light arrangements, vacuum systems in an accelerator, sliding window detection, relay stations for a communication system. Availability is one of the significant measures for a maintained device because availability accounts for the repair capability. A very significant feature is the steady-state availability of a repairable device. For the repairable consecutive k-out-of-n:F system with independent and identically distributed components, the Bayesian point estimate (B.P.E) of steady-state availability under squared error loss function (SELF) and confidence interval are obtained.

Abstract

The hybrid conjugate gradient (CG) method is among the efficient variants of CG method for solving optimization problems. This is due to their low memory requirements and nice convergence properties. In this paper, we present an efficient hybrid CG method for solving unconstrained optimization models and show that the method satisfies the sufficient descent condition. The global convergence prove of the proposed method would be established under inexact line search. Application of the proposed method to the famous statistical regression model describing the global outbreak of the novel COVID-19 is presented. The study parameterized the model using the weekly increase/decrease of recorded cases from December 30, 2019 to March 30, 2020. Preliminary numerical results on some unconstrained optimization problems show that the proposed method is efficient and promising. Furthermore, the proposed method produced a good regression equation for COVID-19 confirmed cases globally.

Abstract

The automatic and manual IoT-based rail door (internet of things) is a door bar designed to be able to close and open automatically and manually. The automatic system works based on sensors that detect the presence of trains and system manual works based on the open and Close button on the smartphone. The components to be used are ATmega328 microcontrollers, infrared sensors, power supply, CCTV and android applications. Infrared sensor will detect the presence of the train and the gate will close automatically. Then the doorway will open when the train has crossed the automatic door bar. By the manual way, rail door control can be open and closed with Android smartphones in real-time with graphical display provided by CCTV. The whole process is connected to a WEB server where the program is embedded. Either it is automatic or manual control. From the tests that have been done, that the response data from the server is very fast, which is less than 1 second civil. For infrared sensor 1 there is an average delay of 0,687/sec and Infrared Sensor 2 is 3,449/sec. In realtime CCTV There is an average delay of 0,857/sec.

Abstract

This study assesses the user experience of a COVID-19 tracking application, as employed as a case study of AMAN mobile application based on user experience. This paper proposed an assessment of user experience (UX) for AMAN application (COVID-19 tracking mobile application in Jordan) by implementing a user experience questionnaire tool. The study aims to get feedback and identify UX based on user interaction and usage with the tracking application. The data are taken from 1208 participants who have experience using the application; an online questionnaire was implemented and distributed through social media groups. The research method that was adopted used the instrument from user experience questionnaire (UEQ) of Arabic and English versions. The results from the UX assessment using UEQ showed that there are four scales which are categorized as excellent; they are Attractiveness (Mean=1.9), Efficiency (Mean=2.4), Dependability (Mean=2.1), Stimulation (Mean=1.8), while the two scales on the benchmark of good are Perspicuity (Mean=2.0) and Novelty (Mean=1.6). From the scores, above < 0.8 show a positive evaluation. All scores are above >0,08 indicating that the evaluation of UX has a positive impression. It can be concluded that the AMAN application is very good–satisfying users to track infected cases of COVID 19.

Abstract

In this paper, the improvement of torque ripple reduction will be focused based on the optimal voltage vector. This is attained by using five-level CHB inverter that applies in DTC drive control as a proposed method. The analysis is performed and simulated by using MATLAB/Simulink. In order to support the analysis, the comparison is realized between proposed method and conventional method which it applies two-level inverter. It will be analysed at constant torque region or steady-state operation on different range of operating speed which the speed is controlled by adjusting the motor load. Meaning that, the speed controller is neglected during analysis. Nevertheless, the adjustment of motor load must be applicable to the optimal voltage vector. The look-up table of five-level CHB inverter will become a guideline to select the optimal voltage vector. Therefore, it can maintain the simple structure of DTC hysteresis-based that fed by using five-level CHB inverter. As a result, the torque ripple can be minimized and torque capability can be retained even at low operating speed compared to the conventional DTC.

Abstract

This study clarified an overview of wired and wireless optical communication system block diagram with practical applications. Freespace optical (FSO) communication is a trending field that is rising so fast to replace electromagnetic waves in a communication, so we have presented a theoretical circuit as an example and modified it to fit and work in communication purposes, simulation is used and then practical work is done and printed circuit board (PCB) is designed. Light emitting diode (LED) have been used as transmitter and Photo Transistor as a receiver and variable resistance to change voltage sent to the LED that indicates the change in the transmitted signal.

Abstract

The pandemic has taken the world by storm. Almost the entire world went into lockdown to save the people from the deadly COVID-19. Scientists around the around have come up with several vaccines for the virus. Amongthem, Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca have become quite famous. General people however have been expressing their feelings about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines on social media like Twitter. In this study, such tweets are being extracted from Twitter using a Twitter API authentication token. The raw tweets are stored and processed using NLP. The processed data is then classified using a supervised KNN classification algorithm. The algorithm classifies the data into three classes, positive, negative, and neutral. These classes refer to the sentiment of the general people whose Tweets are extracted for analysis. From the analysis it is seen that Pfizer shows 47.29%positive, 37.5% negative and 15.21% neutral, Moderna shows 46.16%positive, 40.71% negative, and 13.13% neutral, AstraZeneca shows 40.08%positive, 40.06% negative and 13.86% neutral sentiment.
