Abstract

Every child has their own level of acquiring their first language, these levels range from slow to fast.  The purpose of this study was to describe the acquisition of first language phonology in children aged 2 years and 3 months.  This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with the observation method.  The data collection technique in this study is the technique of observing, involving, taking notes with a data source named Muhamad Saepudin.  The data taken is the phonological acquisition of the first language in the data source.  The results of the study stated that the acquisition of vowel phonemes namely /a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /ə/, and /o/ in Muhamad Saepudin can be said to be consistently mastered while the acquisition of mastered consonant phonemes includes /  b/, /g/, /h/, /m/, /n/, /p/, /t/, /w/, and /y/, so that data sources are stated to have not been consistently mastered.  Therefore, the data source is classified as being able to pronounce vocabulary in everyday life but there are still some utterances that are not yet perfect to pronounce.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of human relations with the natural environment and the forms of natural damage contained in the short story Kayu Naga by Korrie Layun Rampan. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using Greg Garrard's ecocritical approach. The data source in this study is the short story Kayu Naga by Korrie Layun Rampan. Data collection techniques using reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study are 1) the relationship between humans and the natural environment in the short story Kayu Naga shows a close relationship between humans and the natural environment and 2) the form of damage to the natural environment contained in the short story Kayu Naga by Korrie Layun Rampan is caused by human activities that destroy forests by felling trees, hunting birds, and clearing land.

Abstract

The study entitled "The Influence of Online Games on Language Acquisition in Children Aged 7-13 Years" was conducted to explain the forms of language acquired by children due to online games and to describe the characteristics of online games that affect language acquisition in children aged 7-13 years. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data in this study from e-books, books, and journals are used as sources of written data. The main data source is children, especially for children aged 7-13 years. Of course, those we studied were children who liked and were proficient in playing online games, both boys and girls. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, documentation techniques, note-taking techniques, and library techniques. The results of the discussion of this study are forms of language in children aged 7-13, namely with 26 terms of word forms. The morphological processes that are experienced include acronymization, substitution and modification of the blanks that form the types of verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Online games that affect children's language acquisition are Free Fire and Mobile Legends games.

Abstract

The audio-visual learning media is a learning media with moving pictures and sound, which can attract learners to learning. This study aims to describe the effect of using audio-visual media on the explanatory text writing skills of vocational high school students. The population of this research was all students XI SMK Ar-Rahman Kediri with a total of 106 students. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method (Quasi Experiment) with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent-group design. Samples were taken to represent the population using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the t-test technique (t-test). The purpose of using the t-test is to find out the difference between the two values. Based on the inferential statistical data analysis, namely the t-test post-test of the control and experimental groups, the t value bigger than t table, so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant level of effect (5%) of the use of audio-visual media on the explanatory text writing skills of class XI students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of code-switching and code-mixing as well as the causal factors found in the film Earth of Mankind by Hanung Bramantyo. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a sociolinguistic approach. The data collection technique used in this study is the observing and noting technique. The subject of this study is the film Bumi Manusia by Hanung Bramantyo. Based on the research that has been done, there are forms of code switching and code mixing as well as the causative factors that occur in the dialogue between the characters in the film Bumi Manusia by Hanung Bramantyo. The results of this study obtained 49 data, namely 11 code switching data and 38 code mixing data. In this case, there are several languages used, including Indonesian, English, Dutch, French and Javanese.

Abstract

Betawi language is the regional language that is most closely related to Indonesian because it has a vocabulary that is not much different and there is a certain application of phonemes in the sound of words, causing interference in the phonological sub-study in Indonesian, namely phoneme changes. This study aims to identify and explain variations in phoneme changes as well as grammatical meanings resulting from these changes. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with primary data sources, namely words spoken by Betawi speakers. Data collection techniques use interview, fishing rod, intensive listening, and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques carried out by researchers include: (1) taking a close look at the data that has been collected, (2) identifying data based on their groups, (3) analyzing data, (4) concluding and presenting the results. The results showed that there were variations in phoneme changes caused by agreement in the geographical scope, afferes, syncope, and apocope type contractions, as well as monophtongization. In addition, there is no change in the grammatical meaning of each word found.

Abstract

The use of language variation is a form of language diversity due to the social diversity of speakers. This is important for us to know in order to understand the existence of various forms of variety of languages as a form of education. The purpose of this study was to find out how the forms of language variations contained in YouTube videos on Gita Savitri Devi's channel entitled Toxic Positivity | Opinionated Eps. 39. The method in this study uses data analysis through a qualitative descriptive approach. The data of this study is in the form of language variance used by Gita Savitri Devi when communicating or conveying information. The source of data used in this study is in the form of a speech from a YouTube video on Gita Savitri Devi's channel entitled Toxic Positivity | Opinionated Eps. 39. The results of the study are in the form of the use of language or speech of speakers using various language variations in it. 1) Variations of speakers, namely, the use of dialects as Jakarta society, 2) Registers that show the use of language that refers to the world of psychology, 3) The formality aspect of using casual or casual varieties to make the video fresh, light, and familiar and 4) Oral means used. The variety of language selection is divided into two, namely code mixing and code switching. Code mixing is seen in the speaker's speech when pronouncing some vocabulary mixed with English in Indonesian. The code transfer found is in the form of external code transfer from Indonesian to English.

Abstract

Today's rapid technological developments have an effect on the learning process as well as on learning materials and the way in which material is delivered in the process of teaching and learning activities. While learning media that utilize technological developments can provide a knowledge of learning experiences that attract attention and curiosity and improve student achievement, all of these are the objectives of this development research. The researcher wants to describe the design of the gift.me web, and to find out the effectiveness of using the gift.me web as a medium for learning Indonesian. The model used in this development research is the ADDIE model (analyze stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage). The data in this study were collected by means of document recording and questionnaires. Then the researcher analyzed the data using qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. From this research, it was found that creating a gift.me web is very easy to design, and the gift.me web is an effective web used for Indonesian language learning media.
