Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas VIII SMPK Inemete Nangapanda Kabupaten Ende tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPK Inemete Nangapanda tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 45 siswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Data yang diperoleh dari sampel berupa angket lingkungan belajar dan dokumentasi hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan kerelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkugan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA Fisika. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui perhitungan uji korelasi product moment yaitu 0,002 < 0,05 atau nilai probability < nilai signifikan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antar variabel lingkungan belajar dengan hasil belajar IPA Fisika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan Socio Scientific issue terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa untuk mencapai generasi Indonesia yang kritis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur dengan melakukan analisis pada beberapa artikel terkait. Perkembangan dalam dunia pendidikan terutama menghadapi perkembangan sains dan teknologi menuntut adanya perkembangan literasi sains siswa, salah satunya yaitu berfikir kritis. Berfikir kritis merupakan suatu proses pertimbangan pengetahuan aktif, teliti, dan terus-menerus yang diterima dan dari berbagai sudut alasan yang mendukung, serta menyimpulkan sesuai dengan kecenderungannya, dengan arti lain berfikir ktitis yaitu kemampuan berfikir tinggi yang dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi. Sistem pendidikan di Indonesia sebagian besar memiliki sistem pembelajaran yang konvensional, sehingga kemampuan berfikir kritis siswa masih di bawah rata-rata. Strategi pembelajaran yang potensial dirancang dan diimplementasikan sehingga peserta didik dapat berhadapan langsung dengan masalah nyata di lingkungan serta dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis yaitu socio-scientific issues (SSI).

Abstract

The development of Powtoon-based learning media on the subject of Classification of Materials and Its Changes at the junior high school level was carried out based on the problems that researchers found at SMP Negeri 1 Gending, Probolinggo, East Java, namely the decrease in students' enthusiasm for learning during COVID-19 outbreak, the lack of learning media that can be utilized, and the amount of material that must be mastered. This paper aims to describe the validity and students' responsesto the Powtoon based learning media on the subject of Classification of Materials and Its Changes at the junior high school level. The type of research carried out is research and development with a 4-D model (define, design, development and dissemination) where the dissemination stage is not implemented. The products that were successfully developed were 3 learning videos uploaded and distributed through Youtube.com. The results of the assessments of media experts, material experts, and product user teachers are included in the very valid category. The recapitulation of student responses gave positive results. Descriptions of student responses are mapped in the form of a Word Cloud with the words “interesting”, “excited”, “learning”, “understand” are words often mentioned. Students argue that this media has advantages from the animation aspect so that it grows attractiveness and motivation in learning.

Abstract

Natural Sciences (IPA) is the study of natural phenomena and everything in nature which includes three branches, namely physics, chemistry, and biology. Learning physics is very closely related to concepts, theories, and mathematical calculation formulas, which are interrelated with one another. However, in the learning process, not all students can fully absorb and understand information. So that it raises misconceptions or differences in knowledge between students and the concepts of experts. This study aims to compare students' understanding of light reflection material with manual experiments and using the physics classroom application. The rules used in this investigation are quantitative with ekperimental techhniques. The study was conducted with a learning trial on students 8th grade of junior high school 1 Temanggung. The results of the data are done by counting the number of students who understand the theory by filling out questionnaires. The results showed that many students were more aware of the reflection material using the physics classroom application.

Abstract

Comics are visual media to convey messages entertainingly so that they can be used in education and have become a tool that can promote the enjoyment of learning. This study aims to explore students' learning outcomes on Newton's Law material when using comic-based learning media. This study uses a quasi-experimental design method in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study are all students of class X MIPA of SMAN 1 Muara Badak in the 2021/2022 academic year, where the sample used is class X MIPA 2 as the experimental class and class X MIPA 3 as the control class. The experimental class applies comic-based learning media, and the control class uses conventional learning media. The data were collected using pre-test and post-test and then analyzed using the n-gain and independent t-test analysis. This study has established that comic-based learning media is better than conventional learning media. The results showed a significantly different learning outcome between the experimental and the control classes with the acquisition of sig-2 tailed 0.000. In addition, the results of the assessment also showed an increase in student learning outcomes, seen from the results of the n-gain test, where the experimental class showed a higher accumulation of 0.3779 and entered the average category compared to the control class, which was only 0, 1090, which is in the low category. Based on these results, comics could be a supportive media to learn physics at the high school level.
