Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in biology learning outcomes for class XI MIPA 1 SMAN Ambulu in the 2023/2024 academic year through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using Flipbook media. This is interesting to study further because the learning process has not varied so that students are less enthusiastic and more easily bored so that it affects learning outcomes. This research is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles, namely pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The subjects of this study were 36 students in class XI MIPA 1 at SMAN Ambulu. Sources of data obtained from observations, post-tests, and learning outcomes. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis techniques. After taking action using the PBL learning model using Flipbook media, it is known that the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes has increased. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes during the pre-cycle was 56%, then in cycle I the percentage of completeness increased to 72%, then in cycle II the percentage of completeness again increased to 78% of the total number of 36 students. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that Flipbook media can improve student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA 1 SMAN Ambulu in biology subjects.

Abstract

Lesson Study is a model for developing the teaching profession through collaborative assessment which consists of 3 stages, namely plan, do, and see. Information literacy is an important skill for dealing with 21st century life. Information literacy determines one's success in terms of finding, selecting sources, evaluating, and using the information obtained effectively. The research objective was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model on information literacy through Lesson Study in biology subjects. The research subjects were 34 students of 10 grade at SMAN 1 Kencong, Jember. The research was conducted in March-May 2023. Data was collected using an information literacy test that adapted indicators from the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AACU) (2017). The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the mean information literacy of students increased from cycle 1 (65.20%) and cycle 3 (82.60%). Increasing information literacy is accommodated by each step of the Problem Based Learning model which can support student information literacy. For this reason, the Problem Based Learning model which is taught through Lesson Study can improve students' information literacy.

Abstract

The development of the times expects a paradigm shift in the teacher's teaching pattern, which was originally a source of information for students and always dominated activities in the classroom, changing towards a paradigm that positions the teacher as a facilitator in the learning process and there is always interaction between teachers and students and students and students in class. The approach in this study uses a type of research in the form of a literature study or literature study. This research method is a qualitative research by collecting references consisting of several previous studies compiled to draw conclusions. Most of our educators position themselves as facilitators in the learning process carried out. This requires the development and improvement of the concept of providing facilities to students such as the differentiated learning approach.

Abstract

The low motivation of students in learning is a problem that needs to be addressed. Low learning motivation will cause students’ lack enthusiasm in learning which can directly impact student learning outcomes. Based on observations made in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat, it was found that the students' motivation and enthusiasm for learning were low. Therefore, improvements are needed in learning that can overcome these problems. One of the innovative strategies that can be used as a solution to the problem of low student learning motivation is to use differentiated learning. The purpose of this study was to find out whether differentiated learning can increase students' learning motivation as well as a form of school preparation in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka at SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat. This study used the Collaborative Classroom Action Research (PTK-K) method which consisted of activity 1, namely pre-cycle and 2 learning cycles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique which is carried out on PTK-K data by sorting, simplifying, and grouping, focusing, organizing, and making conclusions on the data obtained. Based on research results, differentiated learning can increase students' learning motivation. This can be seen from the increase in students' learning activities, the enthusiasm of students in learning, and the satisfaction of students in learning according to the results of the interviews. Furthermore, the analysis of the results of the learning motivation questionnaire also showed an increase in learning motivation category from pre-cycle, cycle 1 to cycle 2.
