Abstract

When a person decides to choose the profession as a coach, he/she has to think that be a coach is not only how to influence the foster children so that they can brought to the settled purposes but it is more than that, a coach has to influence the surrounding environment in order to optimize the children activities better in the practice or competition. In the sport world, the process of influencing others include the aspect of make a decision, motivation technique, giving feedback, interpersonal relationship decision, and guiding the group confidently. A leader is not only known about the targets achieved but also the steps that needed to gain those. One of the coach's duty as a professional person is he/she must able to play role as a public relations. For that reasons, coaches have to have interpersonal skills so that they can work more effective with the coach staff, administrator, energ'!t medical, match official, athlete's parent and mass media. Keywords: management, interpersonal relationship, coaching process

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out: (1) the influence of the difference between the direct practice methods and indirect exercise methods toward the drive technique for beginner tennis athlete; (2) the difference of the influence of high and low coordination skills toward the drive technique of beginner tennis athlete; and (3) the interaction between the exercise method and coordination toward the drive technique of beginner tennis athlete.The research sample was 40 students of Coaching Education Department of Sport Science Faculty of Yogyakarta State University who take field tennis lesson. The technique for taking the sample was done by purposive sampling. There were two variables in this research: (1) manipulative variable which consist of direct exercise methods and indirect exercise methods and (2) attributive variable which consist of sample group who have high and low coordination skill. The dependent variable was tennis field drive skill. The data collected were (1) drive technique data, and (2) eye-arm coordination data. The technique of data analysis was used Variant Analysis (ANA VA) in the level of significance 0.05 and continued by Tukkey test.The result were as follows: (1) there is no difference influence between the direct exercise methods and indirect exercise methods toward the drive technique for new tennis othlete F0  : 0.091 F1 0.05: 4.08; (2) there was a difference of the influence between the group sample who has a high and low coordination skill toward the drive technique for new tennis athlete, Fa: 67.354 Fw.as: 4.08; (3) there was an interaction between coaching and coordinating methods toward the drive technique for new tennis athlete, Fa: 10.030 F1 0.05: 4.08; (3.a) drive technique of the group sample who have high coordination skill by using indirect practice methods gave better influence than by using direct practice methods, qa: 5.1 q1 : 3.9698; (3.b) drive technique of the group sample who have low coordination skill by using direct exercise methods gave better influence that by using indirect exercise methods, q0 : 4.2 q1 o.as: 3.9698. Keywords: exercise methods, coordination, drive technique, and beginner tennis athlete

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the education service development for talented children on sport. Talented on sport means students who have high potential to developed to be an athlete who able to achieve high achievement. Nowadays, Sport fostering through elementary and junior high school way is not fully paying attention and giving special education service yet for talented children.Recent in Indonesia, special school for sport is has been developed such as Ragunan school, but that school has not able to retain and give service for talented children yet. Moreover; the · innovation which has to develop in giving special education service is through school sport club model, inclusion class, sport class and special school for sport. In this article, it will be discussed about juridical base, curriculum, organization prin~ ciple, empower and others. Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the management and the coaching pattern of Angkatan Muda Seyegan soccer school in fostering the early age players in the age of 1 0-13 years old in Gendengan, Margodadi, Seyegan Sleman Yogyakarta. This is a descriptive qualitative research where the technique used was interview, observation, and documentation study. The research subject were the director of AMS soccer school (1 person), coach (1 person), the member of the soccer school (6 persons), and the parents of the AMS soccer school's members (3 person). The data collecting method was used qualitative approach that was inductive analysis based on the logic principle with triangulation data. This research was conducted in three months from March to May in 2008.The result showed that AMS soccer school has not managed in a professional way yet. Generally the management in AMS soccer school especially in fostering the early age players were already apply eight management function, those are organization, planning, decision making, guiding, controlling, improvement, staff and personnel regulation and financial budqetinq. Besides, AMS soccer school was also having six management facilities, which follows: people (director and coach), financial, materials (coaching members), methods or ways, tools or facilities, and marketing. The fostering pattern and coaching which is applied by AMS soccer school in the early age players are prioritized o the playing activity and the playing which emphasized in the feeling application and motivation in order to make the children interest and like soccer. The next step was help the improvement of the children basic movement, introducing and mastering the basic technique of a playing, introducing the players role in each positions, introducing to the simple official playing roles, then they go to the physical practice, strength, endurance, agility and playing strategy.Keywords: management, the fostering of the children in the early age, AMS soccer school

Abstract

This research aims to know the level of students' physical fitness in grade IV and V of Budi Mulia Dua Elementary school who following Pencak Silat.This is a descriptive research. The population is all (220 students) the students of grade VI and V in Budi Mulia Dua Elementary school. The sample was taken 35% from all population (72 students), proportionate strattfied random sampling was used in this research. The technique of taking the data was used measurement test. The instrument used was Indonesian Physical Fitness Test year 2009 age 10-12 years old. Data analysis technique was using percentage descriptive.The result showed that the level of students physical fitness in grade IV and V of Budi Mulia Dua Elementary school who following pencak silat got 15 students (20.83%) belong to very poor categorry 36 students (50%) belong to poor category 16 students (22.22%) belong to fair categorry and 5 students (6.94%) belong to good category. If see from the gender, from 36 female students, 6 students (16.67%) belong to very poor categorry 18 students (50%) belong to poor categofYr 9 students (25%) belong to fair category and 3 students (8.33%) belong to good category. From 36 male students, 9 students (25%) belong to very poor categorry 18 students (50%) belong to poor categorry 7 students (19.44%) belong to fair category and 2 students (5.56%) belong to good category. If see from each class, from 36 students of grade VI, 6 students (16.67%) belong to fait categorry 21 students (58.33%) belong to poor category and 9 students (25%) belong to very poor category. From 36 students of grade V, 5 students (13.89) belong to good categorry 10 students (27.78%) belong to fair categorry 15 students (41.67%) belong to poor categofYr and 6 students ( 16.6 7%) belong to very poor category. Generai!Yt it can be concluded that 50% from 72 students grade IV and V of Budi Mulia Dua Elementary school who follow Pencak Silat in the poor level category. Keywords: physical fitness level, students, local lesson

Abstract

In accordance with the development of the era, each Pencak Silat (kind of martial arts) school requires to rethink the objectives and strategy in marketing ofPencak Silat. This is based on rapid changes in technologY; economic, social and cultural rights so that they can follow in accordance with the development and the needs of the community. This rapidly changes can make the privilege principles in carry on business in the past that no longer apply.The challenge in the recent years, there are many Pencak Silat school face the new problem, they have to fight in a harder globalization competition, for example: the coaching qualities, neglected infrastructure improvement, achievement stagnation, and inability educator. Those are the problem but can be a business opportunity for Pencak Silat School in the marketing process.Sport activity which involved the facilities called goods and the activity of the coaches called service. Both of the goods products and services cannot be separate in the process of teachinglearning, so, the service quality of Pencak Silat must give many attentions so that it will improve the service quality. Keywords: marketing, service quality; pencak silat

Abstract

When practicing or matching, the tennis players will have many sweats. There will many sweats again, if they do sport exercise in a hot place. The sweats from the body can achieve a liter per hour. Many of tennis players, who do not know how many liquid that out from the body through the sweat when they play, practice or have a match. For men or women teenage players, they produce around one to two and a half liters sweats a day.   However,  for some professional players, that produce can get more until three and a half liters a day in a competition season.If the body lost more than 2 % water from the total of body weight, it will cause dehydration (lack of the body's liquid) and can disturb their health. To prevent the dehydration, it is better for tennis players to drink before they feel thirsty. Drink water regularly with little electrolyte and carbohydrate are better to prevent the dehydration. It is suggested to drink juice from fresh fruits because of water and electrolyte in it which is needed to change the lost water and liquid from the body along practicing or having a match. Keywords: nutrition, hydration, tennis ball athletes' performance

Abstract

This written provides a meta analysis review of the studies on the relationship between imagery mental and motor skill. Imagery is widely used by athletes to enhance motor skill, it was indicated as an effective tool in the improvement of motor skill. The subject in this study are athletes from sport and level different (junior, elite, school, and university atheletes). This study was found that there are positive correlation between imagery mental with motor skill. It was found that after sampling error correction (?) was = 034923 and 53,727% sampling errors that caused by sample heterogeneous, and also measurement error correction (?) was 0,45598 and 7,03742% measurement errors. This finding supports that imagery mental can used to enhance motor skill performance Key words: Imagery mental, sport performance, meta analysis
