Abstract

This article argues that in the context of Malikussaleh University, the position of women is still often confronted with the position of men. The position of women is always associated with the domestic environment related to matters of family and household. While the position of men is often associated with the public environment related to matters outside the home. In a social structure, the position of such women is difficult to balance the position of men. Women who want to take part in the public sphere, it is still difficult to escape from their responsibilities in the domestic sphere. Women in this case are powerless to avoid the double burden because their duties as caretakers are a general cultural perception. Cultural control seems to be more stringent to women than men

Abstract

Because a movement is an achievement of new actuality and perfection through motion, every movement is inevitably a strengthening process and causes the movement of something more perfect. Here we need to distinguish two points, one, the process of refinement of a motion and the other is the process of refinement of a moving subject. The moving agent can be constant reaching perfection through movement but the speed of the process can be that the speed of the improvement process increases or decreases or remains. Constant speed and deceleration do not conflict with the process of refinement in a movement. Examples of the process of moving an apple to be sweeter speed more sweetness decreases but still at each time sweeter than before even though the change is slowing down. Consequently, assuming that in a motion, the motion causes a refinement process for the moving agent does not conflict with assuming a reduced speed of the process

Abstract

The involvement of women in terrorism is not a new phenomenon. But the increasing number of women joining the terrorism movement shows an increasing tendency as a new phenomenon. This is because they care deeply about inequality, suffering and injustice, and are disappointed with the government's inability to eradicate poverty. Unfortunately, these women have not found a more reasonable solution to channel their concerns. Their involvement in terrorism and transnational organizations such as ISIS that supports the idea of the Caliphate - and even to some extent with similar regional experiments in Southeast Asia- can make women feel that they are part of a global movement for change .Efforts are needed to de-radicalize women and the spread of moderate Islam (wasatiyah) as well as adequate socio-economic development to realize justice and prosperity in efforts to counteract and prevent women from engaging in acts of terror.

Abstract

First (1921-1932) when Hatta studied in Netherland; this period gave the greatest experience for Hatta due to his involvement in the worldwide interaction and organizations. Second (1932-1945) after he finished his education and came back to Indonesia; He put an emphasis on his political activities to unite the struggle vision and avoid internal fragmentation. Abstract

This paper is about Anwar Ibrahim and politics in Malaysia. Anwar Ibrahim was born in a village near Penang, Malaysia on August 10, 1947. His parents were a hospital medical assistant and a housewife who became engaged in local grassroots politics early on. Anwar became involved in politics in 1971 as a pro-Islam student leader, founding the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia. He remained its president until 1982.67 Although he was a leader of opposition groups – in fact he was jailed under the Internal Security Act for two years for organizing mass demonstrations in 1974 – Anwar accepted an invitation in 1982 to join the ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNO). Rising quickly through the ranks of the party, he served in succession as the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports in 1983, of Agriculture in 1984, of Education from 1986-91, and was appointed Minister of Finance from 1991-98. In 1993, Anwar also became Deputy Prime Minister for Prime Minister Mahathir.68 He served as Deputy Prime Minister until 1998, when he was dismissed, on the pre-text of corruption and sodomy allegations, because of major disagreements with Mahathir about the political and economic direction of Malaysia’s future.

Abstract

This study aimed to explain law breaking with applying structural theory of anomy. To do this, relationship between individuals, achievement orientation, universalism and money fetishism as four indexes of cultural successfulness, with law breaking from one side, and relationship between socio-economic status(SES) from two objective and subjective dimensions with law breaking as well as structural anomy and its components were examined. The applied method was survey and 400 people were selected randomly among the students. The questionnaires which used in the study included three instruments: structural anomy scale, socio- economic status questionnaire, and law breaking tendency questionnaire. A positive significant relationship between structural anomy and law breaking was found. Results showed that the effect of individuals and money fetishism on law breaking is significant; however the effect was not appeared for achievement orientation and universalism. No significant relationship was found between law breaking and SES. The achieved relationship between objective SES and structural anomy was positive but weak. In sum, it can be said that the theory can explain law breaking phenomena properly.

Abstract

In determining human concepts and Islamic education that are appropriate, comprehensive, ideal and integral, it becomes a moral responsibility for every education expert to develop theories as the paradigm of Islamic education that he formulated, as practiced by the popular education figure, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas. For Al-Attas, humans are creatures consisting of two elements, namely physical and spiritual. What is very important to develop according to him is the spiritual side, because if the spiritual side is established and knows the nature of life's purpose, the greater the potential to become a civilized human being. So that it will provide instructions on education, both in theory and practice. So it is expected that an expert in exploring and developing the concept of education must first study and examine the nature of human beings and their environment, this will affect the pattern of solving the educational problems they face. For Al-Attas the proper term for Islamic education is ta'dib not tarbiyyah or ta'lim because according to al-Attas the structure of the concept of ta'dib includes the elements of science (ilm), instruction (ta'lim) and good coaching (tarbyiyah). The term ta'dib is not only limited to cognitive aspects, but also includes spiritual education.

Abstract

Mystic-philosophical, according to Mulyadi Kartanegara, is a space where there is a struggle between the senses, the mind and the heart which are interrelated to provide knowledge about humans. These three icons then form the foundation of Islamic epistemology, in this case mystico-philosophical. However, these three things have been said to have not yet run out in love in reconciling science between religion and philosophy, science and religion, religion and other scientific disciplines, even creating sharp abyss. Over the course of the history of thought, the gulf continues to be pursued to be synergized in unity and to eliminate the gulf, according to Mulyadhi Kartanegara, is mystico-philosophical.
