Abstract

The implementation of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a serious problem in society. The application of clean and healthy living behavior in everyday life in the household can reduce the risk of disease and nutritional status in children. Achievement of optimal nutritional status can be influenced by several factors, namely direct, indirect and root causes. Direct factors consist of food consumption and infection status. Indirect factors consist of availability, food consumption patterns, hygiene, sanitation, and environmental health. The purpose of this study was to determine the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle with Child Nutritional Status in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study is a systematic review using online databases, namely Scholar, Sciencedirect, ProQuest, and EBSCO. The keywords used are clean and healthy living behavior, Child Nutrition Status, Covid-19 Pandemic. The selection process used the PRISMA protocol so that 15 articles were obtained that met the inclusion criteria. The findings of the review show that adopting a good, clean and healthy lifestyle affects children's nutritional status. The application of clean and healthy living habits in household arrangements is influenced by knowledge, culture, socioeconomics, beliefs, and the availability of facilities or technologies. During the Covid-19 pandemic, parents can play a role in reminding, educating, providing role models and support, advising, and emphasizing the importance of clean and healthy living.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infections (ARIs) are one of the leading causes of death among children in developing countries. Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is a disease that affects one or more parts of the airway from the nose to the alveoli, including the appendages (sinus, middle ear cavity, pleura). The high incidence of acute respiratory infections in children under five years of age is a serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately. The aim of this review study was to analyze the causes of acute respiratory infections in children under five years of age. This study is a systematic review using online databases namely Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest. The keywords used were ARI, infant, and the Covid-19 pandemic. The selection process used the PRISMA protocol, resulting in 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The 15 articles included factors such as environmental influences, ventilation, physical environment, mothers' knowledge, population density, indoor air pollution, and children not receiving full immunization. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in several parts of Indonesia has the potential to hinder maternal and child access to health services ARI as the government implements policy-based movement restrictions. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred has been a reduction in public access to health facilities in Posyandu and Puskesmas, such as the implementation of primary immunizations, weighing and measuring the height of children under 5 years of age, which have not been controlled.

Abstract

All routine services, including maternal and newborn health services, face many constraints during this pandemic. In the early stages of pregnancy, almost every pregnant woman begins to prepare for labor. There are many things that can be done to prepare, from preparing for the needs of the baby, the needs of the mother, psychological preparation, to preparing for the choice of a birthing facility. Welcoming babies into families is a habit, but during the Covid-19 pandemic, it's another story. Objective: The purpose of this Systematic Review is to analyze the effect of immunization services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Database search includes Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Pubmed with the keywords used are impact, anxiety; pregnant mother; maternity mother; childbirth, pandemic, COVID-19. The next stage is to select articles according to the criteria, which are published in 2017-2022 with the full text of 12 articles that meet the inclusion criteria. Results: Findings from 12 articles showed that the impact of COVID-19 on the preparation of pregnant women for childbirth in health facilities differed from maternal anxiety. In addition, the anxiety of pregnant women about childbirth greatly affects the mother's readiness to carry out prenatal care and preparation for delivery. And the effects of Covid-19 on childbirth have not been shown to be contagious to the newborn. However, mothers who are infected with Covid-19 must still follow health protocols, including self-isolation or separation from their newborn babies. Conclusion: the impact of covid 19 on preparation for childbirth is the anxiety of pregnant women, This anxiety can be reduced by providing guidance, counseling and education for pregnant women about transmission and routes of transmission. How to protect yourself from COVID-19 and its prevention. It is transmitted from pregnant women to babies. More importantly, if the mother is hesitant and afraid to go for a pregnancy check-up at the hospital for fear of contracting the virus from other people, a solution can be given to check her womb at the nearest midwife or clinic so that she can avoid contact with other people as well as when the delivery process arrives.

Abstract

Stunting is a major nutritional problem that will have an impact on social and economic life in society. Stunting is prone to occur in toddlers. Stunting toddlers tend to find it difficult to achieve optimal growth and development potential, both physically and psychomotor. This study is a systematic review using online databases, namely Sciencedirect, ProQuest, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The keywords used are stunting, toddlers, rural areas and their impact. The purpose of the systematic review is to analyze the factors that influence the incidence of stunting in children under five in rural areas. The results of the review show that the factors that influence the occurrence of stunting in children under five in rural areas are mother's education, family income, mother's knowledge of nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, age of giving complementary feeding, levels of zinc and iron adequacy, history of infectious diseases. and genetic factors. However, for the mother's employment status, the number of family members, immunization status, energy adequacy level, and LBW status did not affect the occurrence of stunting. The factor that most influences the occurrence of stunting in children under five in rural areas is the level of zinc adequacy. It is recommended for the community to be active in outreach activities and other health activities carried out in order to improve health status and for mothers should routinely carry out weighing at the nearest posyandu so that the growth and development of children can be monitored and can be handled immediately if problems are found in the child's growth and development.

Abstract

The immunization program launched by the Ministry of Health is one of the preventive measures to avoid contracting certain diseases, namely preventable diseases by immunization including tuberculosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B, polio and measles. The Covid-19 pandemic threatens to have an impact on health progress and in particular on child development due to the delay in immunization services as a national program. The purpose of this Systematic Review is to analyze the effect of immunization services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Database search includes Google Scholar, Science Direct, and Pubmed with keywords The keywords used are complete basic immunization, covid-19 period, impact of COVID-19 immunization. The next stage is to select articles according to the criteria, which are published in 2017-2022 with the full text of 12 articles that meet the inclusion criteria. Initial literature search found 52 articles (Google Schoolar 42 articles, Science Direct 10 articles, Proquest 5 articles) 40 articles issued were not in sync with the topic of discussion and did not discuss complete basic immunization 12 full text articles met the criteria. Immunization should be prioritized to prevent and protect from preventable diseases by immunization during the Covid-19 pandemic, if the situation allows. Basic immunization services during the Covid-19 pandemic decreased and affected the amount of immunization coverage. Factors that influence this are the main focus of health services on Covid-19 cases, the implementation of lockdown, physical-social distancing, self-isolation and delays in the distribution of vaccine supplies

Abstract

Practical steps are needed to overcome various demographic challenges, and one of the programs considered important is Family Planning (KB). Through family planning, standardize birth, ideal birth interval and reproductive age, control pregnancy period, and promote, guarantee and support reproductive rights to build high-quality families. Family planning programmes enable women to manage their pregnancies and reduce maternal mortality. Given the importance of counseling in the success of family planning programs, this review study aimed to further explore the ability of family planning counseling to increase family knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study is a systematic review using online databases namely Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest. The keywords used were Family Planning, Family Knowledge, Pandemic, Covid-19 . The selection process used the PRISMA protocol, resulting in 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study show that most family planning cadres had high skill levels during the epidemic, but the overall level of family knowledge was still low. This is due to obstacles such as community cultural development, a limited number of family planning teachers, limited family planning service facilities and infrastructure, and lack of public awareness of family planning work. But overall, family planning programs are supported by the community and religious leaders, capable field workers, and scientific and technological developments. Families' knowledge of family planning relies on consultants, especially medical staff and family planning consultants, as sources of information. Mass media resources are very limited.

Abstract

Respiratory infections are the single largest infectious cause of death in children worldwide. Respiratory infections killed 808,694 children under 5 years of age in 2017, accounting for 15% of all deaths of children under five years of age. Toddlers who have poor nutritional status have a 4.1 times greater chance of experiencing Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) than children under five with good nutritional status. Malnutrition status is also a major factor in the high incidence of stunting that occurs since the baby is still in the womb until the early days after the baby is born. ARI and stunting are known to be diseases and developmental disorders, one of which is cigarette smoke, because they can interfere with the absorption function of children's nutrition, congenital abnormalities and low birth weight. The smoking behavior and habits of parents in the house make all residents of the house and toddlers passive smokers who are always exposed to cigarette smoke at any time and every day. Parents who have the habit of smoking in the house have the opportunity to increase the incidence of ARI in their toddlers by 7.83 times compared to the homes of toddlers whose parents do not smoke in the house. This study aims to determine the relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke and the incidence of ARI and stunting in children under five in the city of Bima in 2022 . This type of research is quantitative, using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers in the working area of the Puskesmas in Bima City. The number of samples is 100 mothers who have toddlers. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire, univariate and bivariate data analysis with Chi Square statistical test. The results obtained from this study were that most of the toddlers experienced Upper Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) (ARI), namely (86%), Toddlers who experienced stunting, namely ( 6%). Toddlers who are exposed to cigarette smoke and have ARI are 75.6% and those who are not exposed to cigarette smoke and have ARI are 94.5%. The results of the chi square test obtained a P value of 0.006 meaning that there is a relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke and the incidence of ARI in toddlers. The results of the Odds Ratio (OR) 95% CI = 0.178 means that toddlers who are exposed to cigarette smoke are 0.178 times more likely to experience ARI than toddlers who are not exposed to cigarette smoke. Toddlers who are exposed to cigarette smoke and experience stunting are 13.3% and those who are not exposed to cigarette smoke and experience stunting are 0%. The results of the chi square test obtained a P value of 0.007 meaning that there is a relationship between exposure to cigarette smoke and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with Odds values Ratio (OR) 95%CI = 0.867 means that toddlers who are exposed to cigarette smoke have a 0.867 times greater chance of experiencing stunting than those who are not exposed to cigarette smoke. Toddlers who experienced ARI and also experienced stunting were 2.3% and those who did not experience ARI but experienced stunting were 28.6%. The results of the chi square test obtained a P value of 0.003 which means that there is a relationship between toddlers who have or are currently experiencing ARI with stunting. The Odds Ratio (OR) 95%CI = 0.060 means that toddlers with ARI have a 0.060 times greater chance of experiencing stunting than those without ARI. The results of this study are expected to be able to improve health behavior in the family and community environment as well as become the government's foothold in health promotion about smoke-free areas in order to realize the improvement and improvement of children's health status.
