Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze students learning outcomes taught by Inquiry Training model is better thanstudent learning outcomes taught with conventional learning.The population of this research were all studenst in class XSMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. The sample of this research was taken by using cluster random sampling from around3 classes of SMA Bersama Berastagi consisting of 78 students. The X-1 as Experimental class using a model InquiryTraining as many as 30 peoples . X-3 as a control class using conventional teaching models 30 peoples. The result ofdata analysis using t test show that t test = 752, 8 dan t table = 1,673 so that ttest > ttable. It can be concluded that there isan influence on student learning outcomes using Inquiry Training Models.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the existence of modern markets (Indomaret and Alfamart) on consumer loyalty in traditional markets in medan sunggal sub-district. The specific target in this study is traditional market consumers, to be able to maintain customer loyalty, the traditional market needs to work around various ways so that consumers remain loyal in terms of household needs. The existence of modern markets (Indomaret and Alfamart) towards consumer loyalty in traditional markets in medan sunggal sub-district. Involving consumers in answering some questions that have been provided through questionnaires with Likert scale answers. In obtaining the results of the study, a survey of research locations was conducted, distributing questionnaires and then collecting the results of the questionnaires, after which data processing was then evaluated. Through the results of data analysis conducted, various conclusions show that: from the results of the validity test X and Y get r table of 0.975> corrected item total correlation, the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test is 0.789> 0.60 with a reliable meaning while the value of the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test is 0.723> 0.60 is declared reliable. In the test of the coefficient of determination to get an R value of .356 where the presence of a modern market affects 35.6% means that the researcher concludes that there is a significant effect even though it has a relatively low percentage, while the remaining 64.4% can be influenced by other factors outside this research that are not yet known.

Abstract

The hospital is facility health efforts in conducting health services and can serve as a health education and research. One cause considerable role in creating the conditions that the hospital is convenient for visitors be seen of hospital sanitation. Sanitation is a hospital surveillance efforts various environmental factors such a physical, chemical and biological at the hospital, which cause or may cause adverse effects on physical health, spiritual and social welfare for staff, patients, visitors and the community around the hospital. Regional General Hospital (Hospital) Medan regency is a regional hospital that has been established since 1963, where the hospital is classified as type C. The result was overview of each sanitary conditions in inpatient wards of first grade unit, second grade unit and third grade unit: water supply in the inpatient first grade unit, second grade unit and third grade unit (score = 9; category was good) , solid waste disposal (score = 8; category was good), waste water disposal facilities for second grade unit and third grade unit (score 8; category was good) and for and third grade unit (score 6; category was moderate). Human Excreta disposal facilities in the first unit and second grade unit (score = 8; category was good), third grade unit (score of 6; category was moderate).The sanitation facilities condition in inpatient room at RSUD Medan for the first class was 100% into good category, second class was 40% and 60% was in a middle category, for third grade 100% was included to middle category.

Abstract

The research focused on The Improving of Peer Feedback Technique on Students’ Writing Ability at the seventh grade students of SMP Taman Asuhan Pematangsiantar. The problem of this research is: How is The Improving of Peer Feedback Technique on Students’ Writing Ability at the seventh grade students of SMP Taman Asuhan Pematangsiantar in academic year 2019/2020?Some theories were used to answer the research problem, they were: Suharsimi Arikunto (2002), H.D Brown (2001), L Ferris (1995), Harmer, J (2004), J. Liu. and J. Hansen (2002), T.M Paulus (1999), Artono Wadiman and His friend. (2008). This research design was quantitative method by following pre-experimental and pre-control design of two group pre-test-post-test. The population was 337 students and the sample was taken by control sampling technique and experimental got VII/A and VII/B with 35 students. The instrument was essay test. The data analysis started from scoring composition, calculating the validity and reliability, finding variants and mean difference, calculating standard deviation difference deviation and standard error difference.Based on the data analysis, it was found that the treatment of peer feedback technique, students’ prior knowledge in writing descriptive text was low since the pre-test data was 1744 and the mean was 49,9 and after the treatment, it had been improved since the post-test data was 2677and the mean was 76,48.After analyzing the data, it was concluded that the use of peer feedback technique gives significant contribution in improving students’ competence in writing descriptive text at the seventh grade students of SMP Taman Asuhan Pematangsiantar in academic year 2019/2020. So, every English teacher should use peer feedback technique in teaching writing descriptive text because it had been proved that it gave significant contribution in improving students’ competence in writing descriptive text and each teacher should choose appropriate method firstly before teaching.

Abstract

Practical learning in a laboratory enhances the experience of the students in order to comprehend the understanding about the concepts of science learned in a class. The Undergraduate Engineering Management Study Program at the Institut Teknologi Del develops a curriculum that combines either practical understanding or basic concepts in learning. In particular, the production system course as an integral part of industrial engineering. This paper aims to describe the learning process of a lean production system for students on simulation-based learning. The simulation-based learning process is carried out in a laboratory developed and adopted from the concept of lean production system. The lean production systems developed from the automotive production system in Japan could be seen as a successful implementation and development of industrial engineering concepts. In the future, the concept of lean production systems is not limited only on a manufacturing domain, but can be developed into other industries.

Abstract

Organizational culture is about the subjective aspects of what happens within a company, refers to abstractions such as values and norms that cover all or parts of a business. Pg this may not be defined, discussed or even noticed. But culture can have influence on one's behavior at work. Organizational culture is very much needed by each companies that need to always be developed and adapted to changing organizational environments. The organizational environment consists of human resources with backgrounds and levels different. Thus, changes in organizational culture are carried out first change the mindset of all human resources in the organization. Organizational culture is a value that guides human resources to deal with both external and internal problems and at the same time attempts to adjust integration into the organization so that each member of the organization must understand the values that exist, how to act and behave. Thus the organizational culture makes organizational members to focus on achieving organizational goals have a different culture, because they have different cultural backgrounds, but all the differences will be merged into one in a culture that is organizational culture, to become a group that collaborates in achieve organizational goals as previously agreed upon, but in the process it is also possible that there are individuals who can accept it and also who cannot accept it, which may conflict with their culture.

Abstract

An organization in carrying out its activities to achieve its goals has several factors that are mutually bound and influential. One of the most important factors used to drive other factors is human resources. Therefore, the organization is required to manage and optimize human resources. Management of human resources itself is very important in a company in addition to other factors such as capital. Because the management of Human Resources itself to get a reliable employee and able to carry out their duties properly and responsibilities that can improve the effectiveness of the organization in order to achieve the goal.The purpose of this study is to know that the work environment and discipline to give effect to the performance of employees in PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra Medan either partially or simultaneously. The population of this study is all employees who work in the company. Where samples taken in this study were as many as 91 people. Data were collected using observations and questionnaires. Data are tested using validity and reliability tests, and the data must satisfy the classical assumption test element. Furthermore, data analysis is done by using multiple regression analysis, t test, F test, and coefficient of determination.This research concludes that there is influence of Work Environment on Employee Performance in PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. There is influence of Work Discipline on Employee Performance at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. There is influence of Work Environment and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. This is based on the criteria of conclusion that shows the value of tcount is greater than the value of ttable with the probability value is smaller than the value of Alphanya. The amount of work environment and work discipline ability to explain the performance is 0.236 or 23.6% while the remaining 76.4% is explained by other variables not included in this research model.

Abstract

This study is focus on the effect of using discussion method in students’ speaking abilility at the tenth grade students of SMK Swasta HKBP Pematangsiantar. According to Schmuck, Discussion Method is a strategy for achieving instructional objectives that involves a group of persons, usually in the roles of moderator and participant, who communicate with each other using speaking, nonverbal, and listening processes.The populations in this study are 80 students of 3 classes. The choosing of sample is done by using purposive sampling thus gotten the sample as big as 52 students ( 2 classses)The data analysis is done by counting the Mean (????̅) and the Standart Deviation (S) and the hypothesis will be proved by testing the significant of coleration statistic students or testing-t . The Mean of Pre Test Experimen Class is 3,78 and the Mean of Post Test Experiment Class is 8,05. The Mean of Pre Test Control Class is 3,74 and the Mean of Post Test Control Class is 6,55.The testing of hypothesis for pre test between experiment class and control class is gotten ????ℎ????????????????????(2,45 ) < ???????????????????????? (7,14). So ????0 is received and ???????? is rejected, it means that there is any effect of using discussion method in students’ speaking ability.

Abstract

One complaint that is often experienced by third trimester pregnant women is that back pain is caused by the increased heavy burden carried by the mother, the baby in the womb (Walyani. 2015)The results of research conducted by Arum Sariati (2017) on "The Effect of Endorphin Massage on Reducing Back Pain of Trimester III Pregnant Women in the Health Center of Kabuh" shows that before the massage, almost half of the trimester III pregnant women experienced back pain on a scale of 4 (very painful ) as much as 45.7%, whereas after massage almost half of the third trimester pregnant women on a scale of 2 (slightly more painful) were 34.3%. According to Nofi Sukma Afika (2017).The hypothesis is a temporary answer to research, a standard of guessing, or a temporary proposition, the truth of which will be proven in the study (Notoatmojo, 2010). The hypotheses in this study are: H1 = There is an effect of Prenatal Massage on the reduction of back pain in third trimester pregnant women in the erna clinic, Padang district, North Padang regency.Based on the results of the study above, researchers can draw some conclusions as follows: 1. Decreased back pain in third trimester pregnant women before doing prenatal massage at erna clinic Padang sub-district, back in Padang Padang district, almost half of the third trimester pregnant women experience back pain with FPS-R slightly more pain. 2. Decreased back pain in third trimester mothers after prenatal massage in the erna clinic, Padang Bolak Subdistrict, Padang padang district, almost half of the third trimester pregnant women experience back pain with FPS-R with little pain. 3. There is an effect of prenatal massage on the reduction of back pain in third trimester pregnant women in the erna clinic, Padang Bolak District, Padang Utara District.
