Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a collection of metabolic diseases with hyperglycemia which can be caused by insulin deficiency, decreased insulin action, or both. Research Methods: The type of research used in this study is quasi-experimental using a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were 60 people with diabetes millitus. The sample in this study was 15 respondents who were selected with inclusion criteria. Primary and secondary data collection techniques. Research Results: The results of the analysis using the paired t test there is a significant effect between low impact exercise on reducing blood sugar levels in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Work Area of ​​the Inpatient Health Center Mariat District Sorong Regency with p value < (0.000 < 0.05) . Conclusion: There is a significant effect between low impact exercise on reducing blood sugar levels in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Work Area of ​​the Inpatient Health Center Mariat District Sorong Regency.

Abstract

Low Back Pain is the movement of the back muscles will cause pain at the same time will increase the muscle spasm that limits the range space of motion of the lower back. Pain treatment can be overcome by using non-pharmacological therapy, namely by using ice massage. The purpose of this study was to viewing the effectiveness of giving ice massage to reduce low back pain on children. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with Non–equivalen control group with pre test and post test, the sample used is 30 children. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling which is based on certain considerations made by the researcher himself. The results showed that there was an effect that ice massage was effective to reduce low back pain on children with p value = 0.000 (p value 0.05). Ice massage can cause a closing mechanism for pain impulses when gently rubbing the back.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) bleeding occupies the highest percentage of causes of maternal death (28%), preeclampsia/eclampsia (24%), infection (11%), while indirect causes are obstetric trauma 5% and others (11%) . The aim of the study was to determine the factors associated with post partum bleeding in mothers giving birth at the Ridho Primary Clinic. The research design used in this study was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 54 mothers who experienced postpartum hemorrhage. Sampling in this study using total sampling where all populations were sampled as many as 54 people. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the age factor (p_value = 0.004), the parity factor (p_value = 0.001), the birth spacing factor (p_value = 0.002) and post-partum bleeding in women giving birth. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between age, parity and birth spacing with post partum haemorrhage in women giving birth at the Ridho Primary Clinic. Suggestions for health workers are expected to always provide information and counseling to pregnant and giving birth women about postpartum hemorrhage so that these cases can be reduced and treated as early as possible.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women according to the highest age, namely 15-24 years as much as 84.6%, aged 24-34 years as much as 33.7%. Anemia occurs due to physiological changes and is exacerbated by malnutrition. Handling anemia can use 2 ways, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. One example of non-pharmacological treatment is using beets (Beta Vulgaris). The content of beets is Vitamin C, iron, zinc. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of beetroot juice (beta vulgaris) on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia in Sipaku Village, Area Simpang Empat District, Asahan Regency. The research design uses a Pre-Experimental Design approach in the form of One Group Pre-test and Post-test with a Paired t-test. The research population was 11 people. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The results of the t test with a confidence level of 95% show that the P-value = 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion from this study is that there is an effect of giving beetroot juice on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia in Sipaku Area Village, Simpang Empat District, Asahan Regency. It is hoped that the results of this study can be an option for pregnant women to treat anemia in a non-pharmacological way, namely using beetroot juice
