Abstract

Land dispute resolution in Indonesia often faces various obstacles, Challenges faced in resolving land disputes include taking a long time, expensive costs, and not always resulting in a satisfactory settlement for all parties. Therefore, the role of notaries in resolving land disputes through alternative channels such as mediation and arbitration provides significant advantages, including time and cost efficiency, as well as maintaining good relations between the parties involved. With the authority to make authentic deeds, notaries not only ensure the legality of documents, but also act as neutral mediators in conflicts involving administrative, civil, and criminal aspects. Their unique position allows them to facilitate effective communication between the parties to the dispute, guiding them towards an amicable solution. This study examines the diverse roles of notaries in land dispute resolution, emphasizing their ability to simplify the process and provide legal certainty. By leveraging their expertise in legal documentation and mediation techniques, notaries contribute to a more harmonious approach to conflict resolution, fostering cooperation and understanding among the parties to the dispute while ensuring that the agreements made are legally binding. This study aims to examine the role of notaries in helping the parties reach a mutual agreement and resolve land disputes. The results of the study show that mediation and arbitration conducted by notaries not only speed up the dispute resolution process, but also provide better legal certainty for the parties.

Abstract

Legal Synergy in the modernization of the notarial deed drafting process within the scope of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is a critical aspect of legal development in Indonesia. Along with the growth of the creative economy and business sectors, the demand for more effective protection of intellectual works continues to rise. This article aims to analyse the steps involved in drafting notarial deeds related to IPR, as well as the role of notaries in supporting the protection of intellectual property rights. The research was conducted using normative juridical methods, employing statutory and conceptual approaches, and utilizing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results show that the IPR legal system in Indonesia is still fragmented, which makes it difficult for notaries to prepare deeds that are in accordance with all applicable provisions. Integrated guidelines and closer cooperation with the DJKI are needed to improve efficiency, legal certainty, and IPR protection for the community.

Abstract

Coffee Doctoris a coffee shop with a variety of menus and a strategic location in Medan City, this coffee shop is currently developing a strategy to increase sales of their products. Effective menu arrangement is an important factor in increasing product sales in coffee shops or cafes. This study aims to optimize sales by utilizing the K-Means algorithm to group menus based on customer purchasing patterns. The sales data analyzed includes product types, purchase frequency, and revenue contributions from each menu. Through the clustering process, menus can be grouped into several categories, such as the best-selling, medium and less popular menus. The results of this clustering are used to design a more structured menu arrangement strategy, such as arranging menu positions on the list, special promotions, or eliminating less effective menus. The implementation of the K-Means algorithm shows that a data-based menu arrangement strategy can improve customer experience and significantly drive product sales. Thus, this study provides a practical contribution for coffee shop or cafe managers to optimize sales through a technology and data-based approach.

Abstract

Electricity load forecasting is an estimate of the electricity load needs that will occur in the future based on existing data at present and in the past. This electricity load forecasting aims to avoid an electricity crisis which is also a crisis for electricity consumers whose average growth is increasing every year. This study discusses the implementation of the ant algorithm for electricity load forecasting with the MATLAB program. The method used is to implement data obtained from PT. PLN (Persero), Distribution and Load Regulation Center (P3B) of the North Sumatra Load Regulation Unit from February 1, 2012 to September 25, 2020. Ant algorithm using MATLAB program in this forecast is very helpful in implementing time series data so that a graphic visualization result will be obtained on the computer. Ant algorithm is a probabilistic technique adopted and inspired by the behavior of ant colonies known as ant systems.

Abstract

Effective decision-making in local government is essential to improve the quality of public services and policies. The Langkat Regency Government faces challenges in managing data efficiently due to the limited integrated information system. This study aims to develop and implement a Decision Support System (DSS) to support data-based decision-making in local government. Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis from related agencies. The developed DSS prototype integrates cloud computing and artificial intelligence to accelerate data analysis and generate policy recommendations. The results showed that DSS increased data processing time efficiency and decision accuracy by 40%. However, challenges such as resistance to change and limited infrastructure are still obstacles. Therefore, a strategy to increase human resource capacity and digitalization policies is needed to ensure the sustainability of DSS.

Abstract

Oral lesions, which can appear in various areas of the oral cavity, are often an early indication of oral cancer, one of the most common cancers worldwide and a leading cause of cancer death in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Western Pacific. Oral cancer can affect various parts of the mouth and throat, with contributing factors including genetics, smoking, and viral infections. Early detection is critical for effective management of oral cancer, allowing for early treatment that increases the chance of cure and reduces the risk of complications. This study used a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to detect images of oral lesions, including benign and malignant lesions, by utilizing the TensorFlow Object Detection API and data from the Oral Images Dataset. Testing with 40 images (20 benign and 20 malignant lesions) showed an accuracy of 92.5%, a precision of 95%, and a recall of 90%, demonstrating the potential of CNN in efficiently detecting oral lesions.

Abstract

A hybrid solar-wind power plant is a combination of two renewable energy sources, namely solar and wind energy, used to generate electricity. This study aims to analyze the performance and efficiency of a hybrid solar-wind power system as a practical learning tool. The research methodology involves collecting performance data from solar panels and wind turbines, as well as analyzing the integration of these two energy sources. The results show that the hybrid system can enhance the stability and continuity of electricity supply compared to using a single energy source. The implementation of a hybrid solar-wind power plant as a learning tool provides students with a deeper understanding of the application of renewable energy technologies and encourages innovation in the field of sustainable energy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the response of multifunctional fertilizer and cow dung on the growth and production of Soybean (Glycine max L.) plants and their interactions. This study was conducted in Klambir Lima Hamparan Perak Village, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra from January to March 2023, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), with three blocks, 12 combinations. The first factor is cow dung fertilizer (P0) = 0 kg/plot, (P1) = 1.5 kg/plot, (P2) = 3 kg/plot, and (P3) = 4.5 kg/plot. The second factor is ecoenzyme (E1) = 90 ml/plot, (E2) = 180 ml/plot and (E3) = 270 ml/plot. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of productive branches (branches), number of pods per sample (plong), number of plong per plot (pods), production per sample (g) and production per plot (g). The results of the study showed that the provision of cow dung fertilizer had an effect on all observation parameters. The best observation parameter results on soybean plants were in the P3 = 4.5 kg / plot treatment. The provision of multifungal fertilizer on the growth and production of soybean plants had an effect on all observation parameters. With a treatment of 270 ml / plot gave the best results on soybean plants, while the interaction between cow dung fertilizer and ecoenzyme had no significant effect on all observation parameters.
